Off as in overacting only.

Maybe it was only me but I found her to be overacting at some points. Plus at some points, I don't like her voice modulation too.

Totally. Jasmine's character lacks depth. She hasn't been written properly. Her character is shown cunning, manipulative and conniving... Precisely, all traits required for a negative/shaded character but still, there is something lacking. Her character hasn't been written properly.

Fateh is still somewhat confusing. His persona, goals and objectives are still not clear. His character needs a solid ground.

Same. I still find his character confusing. He hasn't done anything that makes him stand out yet.

@green this is the case for all itv.

It's easy to like grey characters when I've watched other shows except itv because they lack depth.

Some of my favourite characters have done morally questionable stuffs but I still like them 😆

Tejo. Any day. I finished watching old epis with lots of FF but the episode where she's in gurdwara n cleaning those vessels when kushbeer finds her I was really crying with tears. Felt her pain so bad both fateh n Chameli r so selfish.fateh too till now is still selfish only but I think at least he's gonna keep respect of the marriage as Tejo told her father too one epi

Exactly, her ignorance with respect to her family and Jasmine is astounding to say the least. Atleast Fateh got his shit sorted once his love for Jasmine was crushed. Yes in the beginning he was being an ass but now I think he might turn out to be the main reason Fatejo relationship would sail smoothly. Because he is a better communicator and a frequent initiator for their deep talks. Tejo has a tendency to suffer in silence by herself which is really irritating to be honest especially when your partner happens to be very understanding and supportive. There was absolutely no need for Tejo to lie when she was with Jasmine. Fateh has never stopped her from maintaining relations with Jassu although it won't be wrong if he did. Inspite of all this Tejo has started this "hiding things to avoid him getting hurt" drama which ultimately ends up leading to chaos and hurting everyone.

Italics: Same here. I myself still find his character kinda confusing... Yes, I did love him for his stand for Tejo and her job but still, there is nothing major that makes him stand out.

Bold: Agreed. ITV rarely writes perfect negative/shaded characters.

Agreed, its totally easy to like grey characters. And even I have liked several grey/negative characters.

Some of my favourite characters too have done questionable stuff still I loved those characters... and still love them. Apna current favourite hi ek Don hai, last favourite ek Mafia tha, uske pehle a woman crazy for revenge who could go to any extents... 😆

One was a gay character who was married to his wife and has 2 kids, he would tell his sad tragic life story to strangers in the bar and then murder them 🤪would betray his family...

And the characters in mafia shows where they might just kill others, or those who would lie, manipulate or just want revenge... quite questionable stuffs 😆
