The Match, the New Guy and Conflicted Tejo - 21st June

Nobody posted anything for today's episode. This is just a quick update, someone can post a detailed one

- Fateh agrees to fight. Seems determined to show Tejo how unprepared he is by fighting

-Jasmine meets new guy, new guy seems cool and laid back.

-Tejo and Fateh have an argument in the kitchen, MIL overhears them and goes to talk to Khusbeer and Tejo about Fateh.

- Khusbeer says he rather wants Fateh to loose while fighting than not fighting and giving up

- Amrik tells Tejo that Fateh isn't mentally ready to fight, he lost once when he showed Jasmine's photo.

-Tejo tells Fateh to call Jasmine if the selfie is bothering him so much.

Great...the gadhera is fighting to show Tejo that he is not prepared.

Now I am sure, he must have been dropped on the head as a kid. Idiot kahi ka!

The thing is that I don't expect Fateh to get over his heartbreak so soon. But he is being unreasonable and simply annoying. He can be heartbroken and use his common sense at the same time 😳

As far Tejo, I wouldn't mind if the show show that family pressure is wrong, that the family should have chosen their children's well-being over their so called reputation and society. I would be glad if Tejo realises that sometimes it's better to put oneself first even if it doesn't feel right at that particular moment. Fateh and her can mutually decide to separate, she continues her studies and rejoins working. While Jasmine realises her mistakes, becomes more responsible, tries to repair the damage she made, then eventually when she has become independent, she and Fateh decide to be together.

Pretty sure, that's not what the writers want anyway 😆 It's just that right now I don't want Tejo to like Fateh other than a friend. Currently she seems to pity him.

What is Fateh's problem? The arm-grabbing? He has been doing that since they got married I've noticed or he used to do that before also?

Fateh is getting increasingly physical with Tejo. Pehle bhi confrontation sequences mein aggressive tha... before they became friends but touch nahi kia tha. After friendship they did hold each others hands a couple of times but remember that impromptu dance...it is like he pulls her into one with a lot of haq.

I think he doesn't even realise how much right he asserts on Tejo. Banda will be blindsided the day he does realise 😂

Abhi bhi.. whenever he is in anguish, he reaches out to her physical touch. In drunk scenes he slept on her lap and then held her hand in sleep. When he is conscious, he grabs her. I think...this has got anchoring tendencies. Being angry with Tejo allows him to breathe free...away from remembering Jasmine's actions.

Because remember, even in the past hia reactions to Tejo were more intense than to Jasmine's. Which ia why he was determined to solve their issues as he knew that otherwise he ain't getting the green light from Jasso.

Tejo pities Fateh....and this pity is so going to burn him later. For her, he is like a broken doll. He is not the powerful life sized figure but a diminished heartbroken one. I think, he knows that too....that she pities him and that makes him loath himself even more. Perhaps another reason for the grabbing....to assert that he is still a dominant person and not a person to be just pitied.

Sometimes I don't think JasFa would have been happy years after they have gotten married, even if he had the job. Somewhere, I think Nimmo is not wrong. Tejo will always be between them.

That's how the makers have planned.

After the rosy glow of love fades, Fateh and Jasmine would have been eerily incompatible. They would have been unhappy together. Remember how Fateh had assured his father that he will take Jasso to Canada and fulfill her dreams. But they will return soon as Jasso won't be able to live without her family and Tejo. So they will return to Punjab.

That was his delusion. He really did not understand fully that Jasso never means to return to Punjab.

Fateh would have been torn between his wife and family because he loves them and frankly would long for them. This would have made him drift towards the only person who would understand his dilemma - Tejo.

And he would have started to compare.

The end.

Thereby, I think makers never meant to let JasFa be together. They were just the premise.

@blue yes, I think that's what they want to show, that he is thinking he has the right now. Well, I'm surprised all Tejo does is to look at his hands or look sadly at him, won't be surprised if he gets a push in the near future. I don't like this hand grabbing thing. Didn't find anything wrong with it when I was in my early teens watching Gul shows, now I really don't like it.

@red Tejo pitying Fateh will be costly for Fateh. Tejo will go on will her life, being practical and realistic while Fateh will have nightmares about his words "I'm never moving on"

Honestly, Jasmine's parents should be looking for a guy for their daughter. She is so immature. What does she think she'll do after getting married? It's like she has this rose tinted glasses on where everything is perfect, no compromise, no tolerance

The entire thing is a shitshow. Almost everyone is extremely ignorant and idiotic. What do they want to do in Canada btw? I have friends who want to leave India, but they have realistic expectations, and enough intelligence. I doubt jasmine could even roam by herself in Canada for a single hour. It doesn't make any sense why Fateh couldn't just settle in Canada using dad's money. MLA's are pretty well off and it doesn't take much comparatively. Once he's there he could easily find jobs, lots of people make ends meet that way. I doubt fateh would get any other kinda job. And in that scenario once jasmine would live for a few months, with no love or attention, she would most definitely elope with someone else. People really misjudge how bitchy she can be. She's the woman who's concerned about her food when her sister was missing. My family would disown me if I ever pulled this shit.

As much as Indian shows try and pretend to portray love, they fail spectacularly. Fateh was kinda a stalker, and it's awful to see them glorified. Also that deep ibaadati ishq they want to portray, yeah you need maturity and goodness for that. Neither Fateh nor jasmine have that. The only reason that I like fatejo, because it's possible between these two. Tejo is genuinely good and mature. Though I wish she'd stop acting like a sanskaari biwi, but that's too much to ask from a desi soap.

I had not watched this show from earlier episodes so have no clue about the detail back story so can anyone help me with why Jasmine wants to be in Canada? Why so much fascination about a country? What was she planning to do after landing in Canada cause Fateh had a job according to the earlier scenario but she had nothing neither education nor skills. Cost of living is quite high in Canada specially if you have non-working spouse so was she planning to work there?

Also did Fateh got his PR? Has he ever been to Canada? How he landed a job so easily cause Canada don't easily offer jobs to non citizen/PR holders or someone who has no Canadian education. The only exceptions are if you are already working in India and have an organisation branch in Canada and your organisation transfers you there or if you are exceptionally skilled in something Canada is looking for.

This. Indian tv shows throw out all logic. Only way Fateh could settle was, use pappa's money. Only jobs he'd be offered in Canada would be little gigs like bartender or something. He's not qualified for any white collar shit. And jasmine is a desi version of karen +Instagram influencer. I swear even her selfies are so basic and tacky. She'd definitely elope with someone once Fateh was busy making money, and considering how only thing she's good at is ridiculous drama, her second mister would dump her after a few months. Her family has exaggerated her beauty way too much, and she doesn't have any personality whatsoever.

I agree because the relationship between fateh and Jasmin is a mirage nothing more, they would have never been happy after marriage bcaz they are incompatible for each other. A relationship where their is no trust, faith, respect or friendship can never last for long. At times it's not about how different or similar u and ur patner are but about u willingly putting in efforts to make it last, with Jasmin it is just infatuation where has mistaken his attraction towards her outer appearance as love. A relationship where u lose ur individuality and self respect is never worth it. Hope that loser sulky baby fateh realises that soon or else he will have to live a loveless life where the person he now truly genuinely loves will before his eyes but will never be his.

Thanks for the quick update. Fateh is a mess. Jasmin is only concerned about herself. I hate to say it but aise logo Ke saath jab tak kuch bada na ho, they don’t learn.

What if the guy she marries or family dump her? What is she going to do? She hasn’t bothered to learn anything to be able to support herself.

I feel like slapping her!! I agree with you all. Fateh and Jassu aren’t compatible at all. She’d just use him and he’d bend over backwards until he starts to resent her. They both would be bitter. I’m glad everyone got to see her true colour. She’s not a nice person at all. That’s the crux of it all. At the end of the day, Fateh, Tejo are good people but Jasmin isn’t.
