Daily Soap's convention is that FL should be one SuperWoman who is omniscient, a saviour..ML should be khadoos, impulsive, blunt who gets enlightened at the nick of time by his FL..Thankfully, Udaan is one unique show which broke these usual standards giving their leads more realistic roles..

Dimensions change once a couple have Kids..That's exactly what writers try to portray..Make Chakor an over protective mother, restricting few activities of hers..Suraj let go off his care free attitude and became more responsible..For me, both are toned down..But yes, audience chose their hero-heroine in action instead of nursing their kid, leading a happy family life..CVs have understood that by now & we are getting better tracks too..

Suraj always played the crucial role in tracks which brought in max TRPs but in all those tracks Chakor was the "Hero"..No matter how important Suraj's role is, Chakor was always the focal point..The same thing is happening now, Suraj unaware of i*li's presence, Chakor figuring out things..This time Vivan is playing the supporting clause to Chakor's suspicion..Right now Suraj has very little to play but Im sure he will the punch to the track later..When everything is going as per TeleDrama critirea, why make it Suraj Vs Chakor..!?

Let's enjoy the coming track without any preconceptions..It just started..

Btw, Where did ViKor come from 🤪

Having her on poster and having her present at the event are 2 separate things..

If vj wasn't there at that promotion and they sent meera with someone else,I don't think suraj/vj fans will be happy about that

Yeah sandy they toned her down to make her look like a different character. Changing the flavour of a character won't always work especially with a character like chakor who was sharp and sensible.

Her dialogues were repeative and weak and they cut the action from her side. Everyone else got better lines and scenes. I am not the only one who thinks this way

And not one person alone can create sucess,contributions of KN and RV was also there.

In baby 2 track,only Ragini was strong and clever.
All others are butchered or they use both Imli and Chakor to create sympathy from audience in the sense one's husband believed to cheat her and other's husband leave her during pregancy to tackle ipl season.
But it backfired due to lack of logic.

And all i want to see Chakor and Sooraj both as strong characters and as equals.

More than being sidelined I think Chakor's character has been changed. She's being portrayed as less powerful. She's still there... But in a not-so-appealing way.

Sandy, may be the latter half of this track is about Suraj AND Chakor..I agree Chakor's signature characteristics changed, but creatives have taken a huge risk by making her a Mother..We may not get full-fledged Chakor, yet we will get to see her in action with this 'Finding Tamarind' track..Why not give it some time..

About Suraj, I completely agree he is living in a bubble..but therez no drama if everyone believes imli is alive, right !?

Im quite positive, we get to see SuKor on side fighting equally against that Lady..May not be too soon..

@ Divya - Suraj not believing Chakor that Imli is alive is ok with me. In fact, I'm glad it's Chakor & Vivaan who feel she's alive, Imli's sister & ex-husband... and it's not Suraj. Had Suraj also sensed that she's alive it would've looked like a Suraj-Imli angle again.

And about improvement in Chakor's character... I'm willing to give it some time & hope she gains all her powers again.

Guys relax,I was going through the discussion since yesterday, I wanna share my two cents on it

Divya bingo I agree with you,why did it suddenly become suraj vs chakor?😕

Imo since the 10 year leap,it was always Sukor who had strong personality,who complemented each other in other words if suraj was the heart then chakor was the soul of this show⭐️

Until the imraj car scene everything was more than perfect, the things started to get complicated from then,it was so horrible phase,I felt chakor was completly sidelined in that track,it was all about I***uska bachua,uski pati,uski sympathy blah blah blah nd suraj being her supporter😡

When nothing worked on deviji's favor they showed rahi pyaar ke,imo from there chakor got central role nd trps started to pick up

In this track I feel we are missing our jagat mata,our janglii billi bcz mumma chakor has taken over them

So we are feeling she is sidelined,but things r getting fine as makers are getting that chakor back whom we all love😎take a chill pill

Ruby about the promotions, I disappointed as well, it was always meejay who promoted the show,may be they planned meejay nd vidhi to be part of promotions, meera might got busy at that time so vidhi went along with VJ
