Sorry for intruding..But I don't agree that Suraj's character was completely ruined or it was beautifully written..New Suraj lacks dimension which the Old Suraj has..Also Suraj can never be Suraj if not Vj..😳

Udaan has always been a Trp Aunties Daily Soap with its rural feel..It is Suraj/Vj who grabbed the attention of Younger generation or say Urban viewers..Suraj is one character, which made people guessing what he would do next..If you think from Audience POV, the only character people would hate, love, cry for, get angry at, drool over will always be Suraj..Which means Audience connect to this character the most...😊

Even Chakor is not a typical Bahu, crybaby, kitchen girl..She is independent, strong, smart and has a dream..But its plain boring..(Strictly My Opinion)..Whatever twists or turn the show may take, Chakor remains more or less the same..So even if she is humiliated by her husband, whipped by her FIL, ditched by her own sister..It doesn't matter to the viewers watching (which is disgustingly true)..They will watch it with more anxiety..or will be thinking "Let Suraj know about this, he will kill you people"

In a nut shell, Suraj is the centripetal force around which the show moves..Atleast in my head..

I also won't say that Suraj is a very beautifully written character,the fact is that Suraj is the only character of Udaan,which was always paid the most less attention,in every track,in every storyline of Udaan,since feb 2016...

but that has what made Suraj,the audience gave him the attention,which the show writers never gave.

And VJ has owned the character,and rightfully earned the praises,he gets.

strictly my opinion-

I know,that everyone is entitled to his/her own choice,somewhere it really hurts me,being a ardent VJ and Suraj fan,that Suraj became the reason,for many Vikorians to quit after Sukor marriage.

and what is even more painful is the fact that Suraj,himself became the reason for many Sukorians,also to lose connect with the show and Udaan,and quit it,after the Sukor divorce track and this current memory loss track..

Divya.. I agree with everything except one. I feel Chakor is the hero of this story. Kn whipped her, she killed kamalnarayan. Imli ditched her, she is giving back to her in her own way. Imli doesn't need so much attention and that's why chakor is playing smoothly as of now. Now, about Suraj.. he is her world Divya. I want to say that don't call that person who stripped off chakor 'suraj' or in this case Chakor's husband. Please! Moreover, how do you blame someone?? Did Suraj have a tinge of anger, revenge, lust in his eyes while doing so?? He had kept his eyes low. A person is blamed if he does something totally out of his own emotions. Suraj had no emotions while doing so. Suraj's characterization is a very complicated one. We should be pitying his character now, and not blaming him. And we are indeed waiting g for Suraj to revenge for Chakor, bit for nothing apart from the things he has been made to do against chakor.chakor plays her own fights and we expect Suraj to play his own fights. Chakor is never that girl like other shows where she waits for her hero to rescue her.

Just my few cents!!!

Not that I am rationalising Suraj and Chakor as both are victims...

But Suraj has been terribly messed up on characterization part in many ways in all the tracks... Yes I accept because of this we got to see many layers of this character that is because of the strong portrayal of VJ the actor which made us connect with him in all his layers.

@ Bold Blue. exactly Shreeti thats what I had mentioned in my post too the Ghulam did it but he killed himself first or he was murdered to be a Ghulam and then the corpse went on to execute the doctrine... so he was just the executioner like the guy at the gulletin who chops the head without any iota of attachment to the person at the gulletin...

To a certain point suraj had been the centrifugal force but only till that Deviji's importance was felt too much suddenly by the makers.

Even in the track I was able to connect with Suraj the ghulam then he was made to act and show some emotions but that friendship phase again had been messed Why god alone knows???

One more lining not a silver one though is that Suraj eversince has been hasty, takes decision by heart and not by mind... his mind is excellent when he is with his chakor. Many a times Chakor has also emphasised, worried that he is sirpira, does not think enough and jump to conclusions and take hasty decisions so I still connect with this ghulam too as the Mallik and the Malkin is only attacking his emotions and playing with it so no wonder he is just camaflagoued by the words that Chakor has killed his father...

I rest here as just the overtly love for one character who just could not rise to any of the makers expectation has made the characterization of Suraj go back and forth with utter confusion..

Sooraj's anger can't controlled easily.

I want after regaining memory,he should give a tight SLAP to Imli PUBLICLY.

Writers at least give this to Sooraj for messing his character for that witch.

I will be relieved and happy after this.

I did not want to emphasize on Suraj stripping off Chakor..Neither do I blame him completely..I do understand what you say..I was just saying about Suraj's characterization and Vj's efforts..Anyways sorry if my choice of words were out of place..😊
