CHAPTER 8
So the mission started.
Suraj with a determined heart started to work on the plan. According to him, he realized his love when he was deprived of her. And so will she. He planned to go out for some trip or anywhere far from her for some days. But the thought of he himself won't be able to live without seeing her and most importantly he can't leave her alone cancelled the plan. But he had a better plan. He would avoid her, be stern and won't be so friendly with her. The plan wasn't easy but it fitted in all conditions. And so it happened...
Chakor woke up one morning only to find him not on bed. She checked the washroom, kitchen, and everywhere but couldn't find him. His phone was busy. So she called Arhaan and found that he went to office. She enquired if there was a meeting but he denied saying there was nothing so important but he wanted to go. That is it.
Chakor didn't know the reason and was constantly thinking about him. In the afternoon, she called him to ask if he had lunch or not. He picked up the phone.
Chakor, "hello. Suraj.
Suraj , "hmmm...
Chakor a bit shocked on so cold reaction of him, " Suraj, today you didn't wake me up. I would have made breakfast for you.
Suraj, " why you always need to do so much. I had it in the canteen.
Chakor, " But you don't like that canteen s food.
Suraj, " no worry. I must become according to others.
Chakor, " Suraj is there any problem? You can share.
Suraj, " you shouldn't worry about my problems. Why to spoil your mood?.
Chakor was taken aback. She didn't react. Suraj was the one who wanted to reduce the distance between them. And he always made small effort. And now it seemed as if he was distancing her.
Suraj, "Ok Chakor, may be I will be late today. You don't wait for me.
Chakor wanted to say something but the call was disconnected.
Since we know the truth. We must see what happened the other side.
Suraj was busy with his file when he saw his phone beeping. He almost jumped seeing Chakor's name. But then he remembered that plan and realized it could be good opportunity to execute it. He reacted ad coldly as possible. He was taken aback when Chakor asked him whether he had food or not. But again he retreated. His heart again melted when she asked him if there is any problem. But he acted rudely. He disconnected the call as he didn't want to express the hurt in his voice he had after speaking rudely to her. He closed his eyes in frustration when Shashwat called him.
Shashwat, " Yo bro! What's up!
Suraj, " Fine yaar... in a low voice.
Shashwat, " I can smell something is fishy.
Suraj, " no no nothing.
Shashwat, " hence proved. It is.
Suraj, "na yaar.
Shashwat, " ok tell me where is your lady love.
Suraj smilingly, " At home.
Shashwat, " btw , I called you to inform you, I will be back to Delhi in two or three days. And desperate to see you two together.
Suraj, " wow amazing. Now you will have to stay with us.
Shashwat, "yes I am desperate to stay with my niece and nephews.
Suraj, " hello sir. It seems you became a mad being in Dubai.
Shashwat, " no man. I am coming to make you mad.
Suraj laughed, "ok you are welcomed.
Suraj intentionally went home late. But to his surprise, Chakor was wide awake. She asked him to get freshen up and have food.
He came after freshening himself and saw Chakor serving food.
Suraj, "Chakor you go. I'll do it on my own.
Chakor, " Will you make me have food when I'll be asleep. I am hungry. Smiling at him.
Suraj, "why were you waiting for me. I said I'll be late. Why you didn't had food.
Chakor, " Suraj we eat togeth... She couldn't complete when Suraj interrupted her by saying," you need not to wait for me. If you feel the need to do so, inform me. I'll have my dinner out.
Chakor almost at the verge of crying but stopped herself and both continued to have food.
Next day the same thing happened. But today Chakor slept before he came or if I be clear she was pretending to sleep. She kept his clothes, his food at place but she couldn't sleep without seeing him reached safely to their place.
Next morning, she woke up early and made him breakfast without talking to him. He too did not initiate any kind of talk, thanks to his plan!'.
So in short, there was a cold war going on between the two for no reason at all. This tension was completely unbearable but Suraj was determined to take on his plan due to several reasons and most importantly he too was frustrated after that conversation with Chakor. Chakor was angry on him for showing unnecessary attitude but she somewhere doubted that he is in some tension.
So finally the day of Shashwat's arrival came. They welcomed him warmly. Shashwat too was delighted after seeing his two besties after such a long time and that too together. Chakor made all his favourite dishes and the trio had dinner together. But in all this sukor never talked to each other and this didn't go unnoticed by Shashwat. After dinner, the trio settled on the sofa with sukor facing each other and Shashwat like a intermediate.
Shashwat in a mischevious tone, " Where are my neice and nephews?
Sukor startled at this sudden attack tried to ignore him and specially each other.
Shashwat was a common friend of sukor or we must say the cause that Suraj Chakor became sukor. He was an IFS officer( Indian foreign services), so most of the time out of country. Recently, he was in Dubai as an Indian brand ambassador. He was a fun loving person who loved to irritate the duo most. He was the happiest person when sukor's wedding got fixed. And now he is here to spend some time with his besties.
Suraj retreating himself, " so how are you doing in Dubai?
Shashwat, " Tell me, how you two are doing together. I can feel love flowers blossoming in this house.
And sukor eyes met. After a real long time.
Chakor, "Shashwat, when are you going to settle here permanently.
Shashwat, " where did you two go for honeymoon.
Again eyes met with hesitation clearly visible in them.
Suraj, " we have a lot of time to discuss all this. Tell us about you.
Shashwat like a stubborn child, "tell me...
Suraj, " lack of time. with a low voice.
Chakor followed, "also my interview.
Shashwat, " Suraj the kind of post you are at, won't offer you time to take your wife at honeymoon. You yourself have to do it. N Chakor your interview was past 2 months. Both were looking down as if feeling shame on themselves.
Shashwat, " if I would have known, then I would have gifted you both a package to Switzerland. But I thought you both have this much brains...(seeing the two guilt stricken)...ok forget it. (Smiling cunningly)... Chakor today I am going to show something.
He took out his camera from his bag and searched for a video. Suraj suspiciously looked at him. Chakor wondered what it could be.
Shashwat successful in his search beamed in happiness. He passed the camera to Chakor saying, " This is one of Suraj's video singing for you. Have a look.
(My reader, the way suraj sang in the show compelled me to write this in middle of the story. Suraj in 'Arranged' is a really good singer. Plz do not throw chappals imagining like in the show.)
Chakor smilingly took the camera and played it whereas Suraj was giving death glares to Shashwat.
The video played.
Suraj with a guitar sitting on a chair with a crowd sitting on the ground surrounding him from all directions.

It seemed to Suraj like his heart is being reciprocated in the form of this song. For Chakor it seemed like all lines were meant for her only.

It really made Suraj feel relieved but he was doubtful as the time he sang this, he never thought about her.

Chakor and Shashwat clapped in unison making Suraj come out from his reverie.
Chakor, "I never knew he sings so beautiful. smiling at him forgetting all their previous issues.
Shashwat, " ya it is his love for you...
Sukor were taken aback. To Suraj it seemed as if his truth was being revealed so in haste, he said, " ooh at that time, I didn't even knew about her. How will I sing for her.
Chakor heart fell at this. It means he was singing for someone else.
Meanwhile Shashwat played another video where Suraj was studying and everyone else as usual busy in playing truth and dare.
It was Suraj's chance so everyone wanted him to keep the books aside. At last, he gave up in exasperation and said, " ok ask! But just one question.
Everyone in unison, " Anything!
Suraj, "yes anything!without realizing what actually it can lead to.
The leader of that gang, Shashwat asked the question in a really comprehensive manner, " Suraj, we have been friends since childhood. But I have never seen you talking about a girl. For me it has been a biggest mystery on what kind of girl you want in your life. So plz solve this mystery.
Suraj taken aback but somehow composing himself, " see I don't feel I should answer you all. But since I want to continue studying, I will have to...so listen carefully...(Chakor listening)...i want to marry the same person I love...(and Chakor's world seemed shattered,she was completely unaware of Suraj's thoughts. This means the marriage was forced. This means he doesn't loves her. This is the reason he is so off these days.Her eyes were almost teary but none except her could notice it. Her thought process was terminated by the voice in the video)...or I must say I want to love the same person I marry.
So guys tell me how was the chapter. Sorry for late update. Each time, I am late I think I must discontinue but my friend @amrutha131 again requested me to update the chapter and so it is, specially dedicated to her.
