The problem is not his sacrifice. Babies always have priority in movies, so I am not surprised that he is ready to risk everything to save the child and I have nothing to complain regarding this matter.
The problem is his attitude and his behavior toward Chakor.
I was the one who explained yesterday with details and many examples that what Suraj is doing to Chakor now it is the exact same thing that Chakor did to Vivaan in order to save Imli and her first child. Chakor sacrificed their love and their future together for Imli's child. Suraj's sacrifice is the same. No complains when it comes to this part either.
But...when Chakor was rejecting Vivaan making him believe that she doesn't love him, I could connect with her pain and her anguish for giving up on her love. The way she looked at Vivaan, with so much care and concern, the way she was chanting his name all day long, the way she was craving to touch him and hug him, the envy in her eyes when she saw Vivaan taking care of Imli... it was all there... and it was real.
When it comes to Suraj... I see none of these.
*He said to Chakor he slept with Imli that night - and I didn't see his SHAME for saying something like that to his own wife.
*Chakor slapped him and ran away from him - and I didn't see his SORROW.
When it comes to Imli he is all involved being his dialogues or his body language.
*Vivaan tried to kill Chakor and he barley touched him.
*Vivaan misbehaves with Imli... and he is ready to snatch his head.
*A man pushes Chakor to the ground and he does NOTHING.
*Imli slaps and pushes Chakor right in front of him and he says NOTHING.
*Imli accuses him that he made Vivann to believe that he can't become a father because
he is jealous of her becoming a mother of Vivaan's child as their baby died,
and he DOESN'T CORRECT HER.
And that too in front of his wife and the love of his live, Chakor.
With Imli he is like the old Suraj, with Chakor he seems robotic, his actions are in slow motion.
And the list goes on...
Which wife in this world wants a husband who acts like Suraj?
Who puts more passion in defending his ex girlfriend and their past than his his own wife?
I find VJ's acting OFF in his scenes with Chakor and I don't know if it is him or the direction.
If some people find nothing wrong with what I have mentioned above, I can't debate with them as I have nothing more to add and as they say "to which is own"!
Some people may be OK with Suraj when it comes to his equation with his present wife - ex girlfriend, but some don't.
