Hey everyone! Hope you all are doing well! Been a long while since I've been here, and well, I apologise, but this time its not a story or an update of the ongoing ones.
This a genuine post, probably brutal to some and meant to trigger, but otherwise, purely a collection of what everyone has been feeling for a while now.
I'm not being rude to anyone, I shall clarify that at the start. If anyone feels so, well, you're free to do so; but know that I take no responsibility for those reactions. Finally, I'm not going to beat about the bush, I'm going to get straight to the point and I would also like everyone on this huge forum to also acknowledge the tension and all the 'fandom wars' going on since quite some time.
Twitter is currently quite a tensing topic, due to the recent outbursts and mockery being thrown back and forth. First things first, the people who started it, know very well that they're the reason the Twitter fandom is suffering today. And I guess everyone also knows why and because of whom this post is being put up.
I'm not starting a war here on IF, that's the last thing I wanna do. I'm just gonna clarify some facts to these people.
First, do not post derogatory comments or mock people whom you know only by online means, on baseless and irrelevant grounds. Mentioning their names in a post or a comment or even tagging them in derogatory posts is seriously the lowest someone can go.
Second, please be mature enough to know the consequences of your actions, or at least, the way you put your points forward. Some people may not say it out loud, but in reality, comments posted on social media do have a lasting effect on a person, to the point of moving them to depression. And this is a FACT I'm adding, not just my rambling.
Third, I really fail to understand the level of immaturity some fans are propagating. Please know the difference between being a fan, and a person who posts hateful comments towards other fandom fans, much like a child throwing a tantrum.
It's a free world, people are free to choose their favorite person, whose fans they would like to be. Nobody can control such emotions. Nobody can control other people to like someone else.
Do not mistreat this freedom you have to try and put down the fans of another fandom. I will be straight, Udaan is running because of all the cast and crew who are a part of it. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.
And since 'you' particularly wish to attack the 'Prince', the 'Hero', the '30 year old', know that he's the Main Lead of the show. The show runs because of BOTH the leads.
A bullocks cart cannot move on one wheel. A show cannot run with one Lead.
And do not drag this immaturity further into other sites, and really, stop it on Twitter. Enough is enough. I'm not taking any names, but the person who's responsible for all this, know that it's high time you end all your mockery. IF has been a place where we've all shared our views openly, and without hurting or triggering anyone. It has to remain so too.
I personally do not know what you have against VJ, or his fans. Though you repeatedly tell otherwise, your actions are a complete 180 to your words, rendering them pointless. Seriously, it's high time to stop. Do not drag this meaningless mockery here, and do not feed oil to this fire. If you do, know that there are people with gallons of water waiting to douse it.
Sincerely,
An aggravated VJ fan, and an Udaan watcher.
PS: I'm a VJ fan, and that doesn't imply I'm a Meera hater. Like every VJ fan out there.
