I actually thought I would complete this piece by the end of this week. But since today's a special day for me (It's both my mom's and grandmom's birthday!š¤), I stayed up just to finish this.I hope you'll all like it!
This piece is set in the future, and is purely my imagination. So here we go! Enjoy, and as always, open to constructive criticism!š
1) Chakor was at her mother's place, preparing for Imli's godh bharaai. Rajath and Raima had been put to sleep by their Dadi, and were now soundly asleep next to her in her room. Suraj returned late from work that night, expecting everyone to be asleep, and was in for a scare when he saw Vivaan sitting quietly on the sofa.
Vivaan seemed to have sensed his presence, for he looked at him with a defeated look, he was almost in tears, even. Suraj looked at his watch. 11:30 p.m. Okay, so he had no time to deal with this shit right now. He muttered a 'Good night' and was about to climb the stairs when Vivaan spoke up, "Imli threw me out of the room."
"Well congratulations on getting a first hand experience of mood swings." 'You deserve it. After all you were laughing when Chakor was pregnant and she threw me out.' Suraj added in his brain.
"And now I'm going to bed." He turned again, when Vivaan said softly, "I haven't had dinner yet,". If there was anything Suraj couldn't handle, it was people being hungry. Suraj made such a swift turn on the stairs, anyone else would have fallen and broken 2 bones. But this was Suraj we are talking about.
He walked toward Vivaan and asked him to sit while he prepared some thing for him. He went into the kitchen and prepared pulav, as fast as he could, as Vivaan kept looking at him in awe. He had followed Suraj into the kitchen despite being told to wait in the hall.
"It's so yummm!" Vivaan exclaimed while gulping down mouthful after mouthful. Suraj hit him lightly on the head, asking him to chew properly.
And that, is one of the many stories of how Suraj spoilt Vivaan.

2) Chakor and Imli were out shopping (my poor bank balance!), Vivaan was with them (since it was his turn to accompany them. Hell, it was always his turn. Suraj always managed to get out of this mess!), Tejaswini was visiting Kasturi, they'd become close after all these years, and the twins were in Kindergarten. So he was all alone in the haveli and he planned to take full advantage of his day off and... just sleep.
He closed his eyes and was immediately awoken by the doors of the room being flung open. He sat up but didn't see anyone. That's when he heard small grunting sounds. He peered down the bed, only to see 2 year old Niyati trying her best to climb the bed.
"There we go," he said as he lifted her up. "So what does Baby Princess want from Bade Papa?" He smiled at her.
"Bade papa..." her lips quivered. Uh oh. Not a good sign.
"BADE PAAAPAAA!" She started crying full volume, and Suraj swore he'd find the person who was responsible for making her cry, chase him down to the ends of the Earth and shoot him. But presently he soothed her saying, "Awww, why are you crying? What's there to fear, when I'm here?"
That seemed to make her stop, and she looked at him with big, hopeful eyes. She sniffed and he held up a tissue for her to blow.
"So now, tell me what's wrong?" Suraj prompted. "Well, Niti wash tryna reach for the bishcuits sho Niti climbed up the table," Suraj audibly gasped. What had she been up to?
"And by mishtake, Niti push dabba and then... And then..." She was almost about to cry again. Suraj waited patiently, till she finally finished with, "Then flour all over floor." She sobbed.
Oh. So that's what. "Is that all?" He pinched her nose. She nodded. "You should have just asked me." He said.
Yes child. Why do you think your Bade Papa is so tall? To get you the biscuits from the top shelf.
He picked her up and they went down to the kitchen. The floor was... a mess, and that was an understatement. He sighed and placed her on the counter and lifted the vessel, there wasn't much flour left.
He picked up the broom stick and began to sweep the floor. SURAJ RAJVANSHI, SWEEPING THE FLOOR. Million dollar picture.
After discarding the waste flour, he picked up the box of biscuits and handed some to her, and she put forth her small chubby hands in glee.
Following this, he went to the bazaar and bought another packet of flour, so that no one finds out. (Clever, eh?)
PS: If Niyati grew up to be a spoilt child, we all know the culprit.

3) Chakor had just returned with Imli after meeting their parents. It was nice to see them after so long. Maai had insisted that they bring their grandchildren too the next time. Imli had joked that Maai loved her grandkids more than her own kids, to which Bhuvan had laughed.
Rajath was playing with Niyati, Imli and Vivaan's daughter, in the main hall. They ran and hugged their mothers, welcoming them home, after which they started their usual rant for food. Imli went into the kitchen, the two kids following her like little ducklings, which caused Chakor to giggle.
Vivaan was out on a business trip, so that left Suraj and Raima. Where were they? Chakor wondered as she ascended the staircase to their room. As she entered the corridor, she could hear Raima giggling. Wondering what was going on between the father-daughter duo, she opened the door, only to...
Suraj looked up at her in shock, and immediately glared at her. "Don't," he warned. "BWAHAHAHAHA! OhMyGod, Raima, what have you done to your dad?!" Chakor said, trying to control her laughter. Suraj huffed in indignation.
"Doesn't Papa look cute Ma?" Raima innocently chimed in. "Look, he even has a Magical wand!" She exclaimed.
Indeed, there on the floor sat Suraj Narayan Rajvanshi, in all his glory, with a tiara on his head and a frilly, pink veil with glitter at the bottom around his shoulders. The 'Fairy Princess' attire was complete with the 'Magical Wand'. Chakor couldn't help but giggle some more.
"Want to join our tea party, Ma? I'll prepare one cup for you. Come on, sit!" Raima chirped as she patted on the floor beside her.
Chakor went in and sat next to Suraj. She giggled again. "Daddy Dearest couldn't refuse his Daughter?" Suraj looked away, but Chakor didn't miss the red of his cheeks as he did that.

4) "WHAT?!"
"Shhh!" Chakor covered his mouth with her hand. "Aahista bolo, koi sunn lega!"
"Arrey kisi aur se hamara kya matlab? But YOU! You want me to...?" Suraj looked at her, aghast.
"Ab who else can I ask? And for God's sake, you're my husband. Don't look so shocked."
"Chakor, you want me to drape your Saree? ME?" Suraj looked at her pointedly this time. "I don't even know how. Why don't you know?!"
"I just don't. Now can you please be a dear and help me? Everyone else is busy. Please, Suraj." She pleaded.
Suraj huffed and took out his phone. He'd never thought the day would come when he'd type 'How to drape a saree' in the search bar.
"Don't turn, I'll go around," he said when she started twirling. She was having fun, for sure. "Are the fleets supposed to be this way?" He asked to no one in particular.
And finally, after half an hour of replaying the video and going around her, Suraj finally managed to drape her Saree.
"Suraaaj! I love youuu!" She hugged after seeing how perfectly he'd managed to drape it. "Yeah yeah. Let's go down now. Everyone's waiting for us."
It was all worth the trouble however, when everyone complimented his wife that evening.

5) 'Do I really have to do this?' Suraj thought to himself. He then looked down at Rajath beaming up at him, and once again, Suraj had been defeated by those eyes which he inherited from his mother.
"But first, wear your helmet." "Okay Papa!" Rajath skipped to get his helmet.
There was once a time when his bodyguards used to run behind his jeep as he drove. And then there was NOW, when he was running behind his son's bicycle, attempting to teach him how to ride.
"Alright, come on, start pedalling. Yes, that's good, left, right, left... I'm right behind you don't worry."
Slowly, when he felt Rajath was getting better, he let go of the back.
He drove straight, and then the cycle began to wobble, and... "PAPA!"
CRASH. Suraj had managed to lift Rajath up before the cycle fell down. But Rajath had managed to scrape his knee, and Suraj felt his heart break. "Alright, that's enough for today." He declared, and carried him back to the haveli.
The next day:
"Suraj, was it really necessary to get him elbow and knee pads? I mean, it's just a cycle he's learning to ride." Chakor questioned.
"You can never be too careful," was all she got back.
