Also is not a question about who is better Suraj or Vivaan, is more about who can rule over the village. And Suraj is better for this position than Vivaan if he changes his ways. Not only that he is entiteled to this position, but he is also composed, not letting personal matters take over his judgment. While Vivaan is too emotional, one personal problem and he forgot about hospital and school and evrything else that he promised to people and also he wants to leave to London now, abondening the project.
People may say whatever they want about Suraj, but he did take care of the business. Whatever job his father handed him (being good or bad), he went and done it.

True - it could go that route - and be consistent with the theme of the original story. But the big catch here is... CVS are not showing Suraj as black - for Suraj to languish in jail - he needs to be an overall evil guy like KN. Going by what the CVs are showing Suraj has a softer side. He took a bullet, saved Chakor from the fire, kept his word during the kiss challenge and also when push come to shove left Chakor on the bed and slept on the floor. As such - while Suraj may have to pay for his sins - he's not going to end up in jail. CVS will not throw away the Chakor Suraj chemistry without milking it as well.

from what i watched cutting tongue of policeman, scaring villegers and exploting them as banduas, sleeping with one girl making her preggy and tricking her to marry his brother, asking a her to abort kid without a second thought, marrying the sister of the girl who is carrying his kid, giving quotation to kill his own father, blackmailing and forcing a girl to stay in marriage, making her to touch his feet by forehead and many more are not grey shaded. its black for me. thats why cvs called suraj "raakshas" and made chakor to set her next udaan to send him jail. they specifically said it. if we are in to what cvs showed we should first look into what they clearly showing. anyways.. one thing which im sure abt udaan cvs is ..they never consider much about trps. if the show hav decent trp to not to go off they are happy. hav seen it in chunni and mumbai track clearly. and udaan is about chakor.. her partner is not going to rule village. its democracy. if anyone enter politics it will chakor. may be after uniting vikor they might show a politics where both suraj and chakor being candidates. i honestly want such tracks. it will be fun in actual sense than current ones

I hear you Alina. All good points. You are going with what the CVS have shown and in that regard you are right. But there are questions on the validity of Imli's child - which the CVs have intentionally created - so we'll have to wait and see how this plays out.
Its all about what each one is looking for in entertainment :)

hellow dear, its a serial.so redeeming can be possible for anybody...if kn,s character redeemed at the end...it also could be believable...in piya rangrezz/begu sarai/junoon...a lot of serial...the main hero...killed a lot of people by shooting pistol into them...but a lot of fan liked it as manhood...actually its not about manhood...its about entertainment...so anything is ok,if trp is coming...every character is redeemable...bcoz its a serial not reality...udaan lost its moral track when the marriage and love track started...if cvs try to go for the main track...they sud not be hurried for love or marriage track ...they sud concentrated on bandhua track...some people not want sukor for not that reason that suraj is evil or marrying suraj will be digressing of main track [bandhua],actually the real truth is they are just using these causes as pretentious issue, actually they want the childhood pair ,thats it.for that reason,i will definatly go for sukor, bcoz they have a marvelous spark.a lot of serial showed childhood enemy turned adulthood life partner type story always interesting...like veera

Everyone here has raised valid points but this is still entertainment and each person is different. What one likes, the other isn't going to.
I love Suraj's character, not that I condone violence or negativity but because this is work of fiction and his character is fun to watch. He has the best dialogues, dressing style, sense of humour is brilliant. What I wonder is why can't the goody goody guy have all this as well. I'm never going to understand Indian Telly world.

As @Darknight420 said, if the CV's wanted to stick to the concept, they shouldn't have focused on the relationship aspect of the story. They should have continued with the bandua track.

But for entertainment's sake I'm loving Suraj and Chakor together. They are fiery and sparks fly when they are on screen. That makes for great TV and fun to watch.

The real world is cruel and sad enough without fictional shows being the same.
