Although Eclipse is my favorite among the 4 Novels but there is one particular scene that really bothers me.

It's Charlie's reaction when Bella tells him her hand might be broken because of her punching Jacob. The fact that he pats Jacob on the back and says good for you after the guy has just assaulted his daughter bothers me greatly.😕 It made me so angry when I read it first time that I had to put the book down.It seemed like he preferred Jake over his own daughter.

I was astounded that Stephenie, as a mother, would write that. But I am glad there was some redemption. He at least acknowledged that it wasn't right.

I sincerely hope they alter that scene so that Charlie is at least bothered by the assault on his daughter.

OMG that was the worst. When he kissed her by force I wanted to throw the book across the room.

When Jacob kissed Bella forcefully the first time, and when Bella asked Jacob to kiss her before he went to the fight, gave me shrugs!!!
Poor Edward :(

The book was good, I agree with your views also, another thing I felt is that, there were too many thoughts by Jacob and Bella, I'm extending my views to Breaking Dawn also actually, Over flow of emotions, I think Meyer could cut it short, It seemed a lot extreme, more than required or necessary, to the point and relevant would have been more precise.

Charlie also seems to think that Jacob was always correct and right for Bella. 😆
I like the friendship between Jacob and Bella, it suits them more. 👍🏼

charlie wanted jacob for bella coz he was there for her when eddy left her and went.. bella was so depressed...charlie coudnt forget her pain...about jake kissing bella...its just that he loves her tooo much !he is younger than bells... he cant understand what is right and what is wrong... even bella is wrong in newmoon she new that jake is falling for her.. she would have cleared it to himm first only.. she became his friend for her selfish motive...she liked his company...jake never went to bella... she took the first step...

my fav scene in eclipse is bells and jake escape on jakes bike leaving alice back...it was soooo much funnn

Agree- bella always sort of made the first move against Jake. Also, Charlie was acting as any father would- if a guy hurts your child no matter what happens you'd hold a grudge againsdt them- it's what parents do so charlie did that with edward and preferred Jacob because jake was always there for bella and Charlies known him forever so knew he wouldn't leave her. it probably made him happy that jake kissed her cause it gave him hope that maybe she'll choose him though in the end he acknowledges Edward love for her too.

That part was kind of shocking and annoying but i guess i totally understand why Charlie would do that. He just wants Bella to choose Jacob and thats why whenever Jacob makes a move on her, Charlie likes it and encourages thinking it might change Bella's mind. I think, it should be in the movie.

Oh so because he was there when Bella was left alone, he has the rights to forcefully kiss her?😕 Being a father, he approved the assault on his daughter, you actually think this behavior was justified?No matter how much of a favor Jake did on Bella it doesn't give him the liberty to have any sort of claim on her body.

Lol Jake is a werewolf and he is not younger than Bella. He stopped aging just as the Vampires. Well when he knew that Bella had always been in love with Edward then why did he harbor such feelings for her anyway?😕 It's not wrong to go to a friend for comfort when you are down but that doesn't mean we are seeking for a bit of romance. It was Jake who took the first step with the kiss, Bella never implied that she was dying to kiss him or planning a future with him.
