Today my friend told something quite cool i guess😆
She has an app on her iPod which is called the baby name app or something and it names, names😆

and under Edward it said it means 'Very protective'

i was like wow😆 i swear Stephenie Meyer just randomly thought of the names...didn't she? Its like the perfect name cos Edwards so protective over Bella!😆

and under Jasper it said it was a stone which 'controlled emotions'

which made me go wow again😆

Did Stephenie Meyer actually name the characters after their personalities? 😕😆

Just thought i'd share that since the forums a bit bare at the momentummm :)

do you guys know any others?

Nice find!

Even I came across something like this 😊.. for instance, Isabella means Beautiful, and she IS beautiful for Edward and rest of the guys in school 😃...

And Rosalie means beautiful and enchanting just like a blooming rose, and she has been described thus in the series 😃.. Emmett means strong worker 😛.. Carlisle means someone from the walled city, and, well he did come from Volterra once upon a time 😛..

And most importantly.. Jacob means Supplanter, that is someone who replaces someone else 😃..

Though some of these refer to physical appearance more than the personality 😳... but it still looks like Stephennie Meyer did her research 😃...

??? He never replaced Edward. Just because Bella loved Jacob he replaced him? I don't think so. I disagree.

Oh yeah nature i forgot my friend told me what Isabella meant, although i kinda already knew from learning french and stuff😆 wooww, it can't be a coincidence that they're all similiar to the character😆 Ah yeah Carlisle kinda makes sense...Theres a place in Wales called Carlisle, although i don't know if its walled 😆

@ShadowKiss i think he did a bit in New Moon, when Edward left Bella needed him to heal her hole, so he kind of replaced her happiness? if ya catch my drifttt :) 😆

Ermmm.. He kinda replaced him when he left.. he let Bella be Bella again and protected her for a while before Edward returned 😊.. This is what I meant 😳...

yep it was all thought

and all the charecteristicss of the name revlove around how bella percives then btw !

and yes stephanie did also keep the time in mind !!

and for edward the logic was that edward was a very famous name in the world war 2 time...

and then they were the protectors of that timee

ain that sounding more like jocob?? lol

I think Stphanie did do the research because even the books and the book covers have got meanings which she explained on her site so would'nt she have done research for the s\names as well? :) ;)

Hmmm. I still disagree. I mean he never replaced Edward. It sounds sort of mean. (Yes Mean. I'm acting childish over this lol). I mean the fact that Edward left and Jacob came into her life should not just mean he "replaced" him. He made a place of his own. That's why she could never love him as much as she loved Edward. She loved him differently. I mean with Edward it was sort of love at first sight but, she got to know Jake before loving him. Si it's kinda diff...

Am i confusing you? I'm confusing myself. Oh what the hey i still disagree and that's all you should know.
