According to this article posted by BlackBookMag, a biopic film of musician Jeff Buckley is up for negotiation. Rob and actor James Franco (Milk, Spider-man) is being considered to play the leading role.

Currently competing for the chance to play Jeff Buckley are heart-throbs Robert Pattinson and James Franco. Since auditions and line-readings are things of a former era in the world of casting, the final decision will probably come down to whichever thesp can demonstrate the dreamiest Buckley pout.

However, please note that this is not official…!

james franco deserves it. despite rob being gorgeous he doesn't have any acting skills, he still didn't prove to me to me that he is a good actor. jeff buckley is someone u cnt mess around with he was legend, and james franco is better in the acting department.

I SO hope James gets it. I'm a HUGE Jeff Buckley. His music is beyond and Jeff's death is such a tragedy. First off, James and Jeff have a similar appearance.

WTF. Jeff Buckley.. just wow.. that's ridiculous. Jeff has the greatest lyrics and such an amazing falsetto voice.
