I have been reading the views of some of the people who are saying the ending was bakwas, I am one of them, others of the opinion that the ending is open...I don't believe that, some are saying it is perfect, while others are Paakhi dose not need a man to be complete and she is self sufficient.
This is my take on this, it is not about Paakhi choosing divorce and deciding to live alone in Anshuman's memory. It is about they starting to send a message after Anshuman's death...about her moving on and then doing an about turn.
First of all When Anshuman died, and Paakhi was insisting that she wanted to live alone in Anshuman's memory. I was all for that. But they were so adamant that she needed to get married they forced the issue.
Let me make this clear... A woman dose not need a man to be happy is true, a woman is quite capable of raising a child on her own with out a husband in real life I am sure we all know some one like that.
I would have been happy if had shown Paakhi dealing with the business and AAyan alone.
Enters Veer, a nice guy who ends up winning our hearts, a person who is just like Paakhi in every way , who like Paakhi had also been burnt in love.
THE MESSAGE I THOUGHT THE CV's were leading to by the dialogues is
IT IS OK TO MOVE ON AND LOVE AGAIN...LOVE HAS NO LIMIT AND FINDING LOVE AFTER A SPOUSE DIES IS NOT WRONG NOR DOSE IT MAKES THAT LOVE ANY LESS.
And that is what has some of us feeling disappointed and cheated.
It has us questioning what was the point of Veer, since he is left again with a broken heart and in love with a woman who will always see him as a friend. Some how that is hard to take.
Paakhi should not have came to that mandap and go through with the wedding. She should not have given AAyan the hope of having that happy family...
They should have focused on Paakhi living life as Anshuman's widow and learning the business ...dedicating her life to him, livign the words she's been saying these past few days. Give her a few years ,via the magic of time leap, give her time to heal.
What they did was introduced us to a bunch of scarred and broken people (Riya with er problems with Veer, Aayan coping with the loss of his father, Paakhi coping with the loss of Anshuman...Who some how found each other, a new type of Family dynamic , you don't need to be blood related to be a family.
They showed us a man and woman who gave each other immense respect . Who had no problems with each others past. Along with AAyan we to saw this as a new happy family.!
IMO a positive ending today would have been Paakhi cherishing her moments with Anshuman as they did, and yes waitng for the day they would be together again, but also realising that she has a long life in front of her , with a family that loves her..and that until the time comes for her to be with her Anshuman again...she would LIVE not waitng to die, but to enjoy the special moments with her unique family. AAyan and Riya would have gotten the stable happy family they so desperatey needed and wanted and Veer would have also gotten the companionship and love of some one who understood what it was like to loose that love because she herself has been through it...That would have been the Happy ending .

This is stricktly my view... on how it should have played out... not meant to offend any one!!!! I am still a fan of the show.

@Vinnie79 - I agree with each and every word you have said. The whole point after Anshuman's death was for Pakhi to move ahead in her life successfully and to find and accept new love and a new beginning! They should have taken a couple of leaps and should have shown how Pakhi and Veer finally accept each other as husband and wife. A true friendship that turns into love but instead ruined it by trying to unite Pakhi and Anshuman. Truely disappointed!

Agree with everything you said especially what is in bold. What disappointed me the most was Paakhi's view about life - it's not about responsibilities, it's about living it to the fullest. And another part that bothered me even more was that Paakhi never really had her own identity and that was clearly shown today - somehow in some way she is and was always tied to Anshuman. They could have ended it on a better note like you said.

Hi Vinnie
I had not seen your post. I completely agree with you.

As I have said you cannot become part of a Amar Prem Kahani by hurting others.

yap..! there is no ability to be independent ..because hindi tv serial's heroine should be .. "Bechari or Mahan" like Pakhi.. they could have shown her a free individual who want to be live without burden of past and future... but No At last they made her a psycho patient ..who will live her whole life like a zombie ...🤢

Pakhi waiting to die and reunite with Anshuman is certainly not a good ending.
