Atithi Devo Bhav

In hinduism it is believed the "guest is to be treated like God" or Atithi Devo Bhav. The guest is called Atithi. The literal meaning of the word Atithi is without a set time. As all humans in a true sense are individualized spirit or the soul it is important that we treat each other respectfully. However an unannounced guest may get us all worked up, so as a reminder the saying goes "atithi devo bhav".

Pakhi has never struck me as being spiritual except for her occasional remembrance of Shree Nathji she hardly ever observes any spiritual practices.

In fact even the havan today was a mockery because (also mentioned in an earlier post) the only person who can perform this havan is Aayan - not Pakhi and not Lavanya.

But more than the mockery of Anshuman - Pakhi committed a bigger mockery of Veer and Jiji.

Pakhi invited Jiji to her house. Why? To display that she has no respect for Veer or for their marriage. Then, her intention was purely to insult her. Really Pakhi - is this how you treat an invited guest. Shame on you.

And to add salt to the injury you accuse Veer of wanting to stay with you because he loves you. If Pakhi is a big Sati Savitri why did she insist that Veer marry her? What a hypocrite Pakhi turned out to be.

Veer does his lawyer's job and works on Anshuman's project to ensure that Pakhi's dream is realized and Pakhi how does she treat him? By heaping insult on him.

Pakhi does not have the courage to give back to Anuja, or Lavanya, or Anshuman. They treated her like dirt and she snivels around them.

Veer and his family give her respect and she insults them! Worse still, she does not realize how wrong she is behaving. She thinks because she believes she is Anshuman's widow she is justified. She has forgotten she is the one who wanted to marry Veer. So, did she marry Veer to heap insult on him and his family? What a pitiful woman!!

CVs please show Veer, Rhea and Jiji walking out of that house.

I agree that Paakhi acted out of character today .
My answer to that is Paakhi acted implusively, maybe subconsciously and was probably starting to feel cornered and suffocated with all the KC preparations, being asked to eat his jootha, being told she is the only hope for carrying on the family linage!!!
Veer said he would speak to them, but all she was seeing was expectations being piled upon her.
So she revolted.
She left silently to go to Lavaniya's house...i found that strange as so far Veer and Paakhi have been straight up with each other so how come she did not tell him about this puja. Or did she ?because as we saw Ria and Aayan did show up.!
I will give her the benifit of the doubt that she told him, also since he did say he would speak to her that day she expected that he would do so before nightfall when she was expected to get all dolled up, in which case fasting was really not required. She kept quite because Veer said he would tell them and she was respecting that., so when JIJi did show up in her room with the thalli she silently accepted it
Jiji was really the only clueless person here.

THAT being said..the insult was deliberately delivered by Lavanya, who specifically choose this day to hold this puja. Paakhi was unaware of the day until AFTER she agreed to come over to Lavanya's
It was shown clearly on Lavanya's face when Girish brought it up she knew what day it was. funny she was not holding the fast for her own husband, she really dose not seem to care for him.
Lavanya is emotionally blackmailing Paakhi brilliantly by using Anshuman's memory as the string to get her to do her bidding.
Since Paakhi is still in love with him of course she would do it.

Lavanya only cares for herself ...and all of this is to get back of them because they side stepped her on their arrival. She is seeing them as taking "her " Paakhi away from her, funny because was it just a few weeks ago she wanted Paakhi to pack her bags and leave???

Comming to the precap, it is looking like she will blow up and indeed insult Veer, which I will agree with you here that it is wrong for her to do so. He dose not deserve it , as everything he is doing is for her and AAyan. Him falling for her is not his fault, he has no ulterior motive he expects nothing...she should be sensitive to his feelings.

I will be happy when JIJI dose give her that ultimatum because if she really has no care about hs feelings then best she let him go and not string him along. Then she can be Lavanya's puppet for ever!!!

Should we give Pakhi the benefit of doubt?..i think yes..

Pakhi reaction was on the impulse..Anshuman soul peace Pooja and thats the priority for her as we do know her mantra...

The one that should be pointed a finger at is Lavanya..she made a well calculated plan to disgrace Veer and his family using Pakhi as a pawn...

You know the irony of this act of lavanya it will act as a catalyst not to destroy but lead Veepaa to move on in their life in the true sense..

In my opinion its good this showdown happens though Pakhi will end up being rude with Jiji ..Veer..The outcome of this outburst jiji will give her an ultimatum..its time you chose..free Veer or accept him...thats how this will get her back to the real situation..she is married to Veer and though nothing between them her life has changed..she is happy in his company.. indirectly she has got attached to Veer presence in her life and this thought of letting him go away will shake her..

Though late but the realisation will dawn on her what will be her life without Veer in hers and Ayaan life..

I think.creatives had a point in incorporating this scene...Anshuman pooja and KC..Pakhi doing a last ritual for Anshuman soul and on same night will do all rituals of KC for Veer..it kind of indicates Pakhi somehow letting go of Anshuman and on the other side a new chapter of her life will start with Veer as her lifepartner..

Thats why i said Pakhi deserves a benefit of doubt as she is not insensitive or cruel like Lavanya .. this had to happen to make her realise the importance of Veer in her life..

character well balanced but yesterday's episode made us to think

why Paakhi to become very furious ...CV 's mind...??

Veer behaved so understanding with Paakhi and give in each stage very supportive towards her...

Her behaviour was uncalled for whatever may be the reason...😔

i don't think, she is behaving out of her character... as i said to another post ...her life has always been awaiting of Anshuman... he has been central point of her life.. so she can't get rid of this thought smoothly ..NO.. she need a push,she need a shake... and as Savita said ..Lavanya is giving her that push unknowingly...

i agree she never gave back to Lav , Anshu or Anu...and always respect them ... but why u forget her mind set not changed when she came to know about Anshu's first wife,Aayan,even Tanya...she always try and try to get back Anshu..he was crux of her life...that's why she is not able to think that her life can be happy without Anshu ...

she has a guilt... and Lav is using that... now she is going to insult jiji and the most to veer may be she will say to him "now i don't trust u ,so can't live with u in same room, please go to another room" as she said in precap "is intention ke sath aap mere aas-pass ghumate hai, ..she need some time actually ... she will hurt him but i think in real life too..we hurt to our nearest people the most...and veer is one of them...😳

Now that all ended why doesn't she leave Veer because she can't love someone else better she lets him free and herself too. What's the point in doing natak now. 😕

I undersand her and why she doesn't want to give a chance to Veer but then don't give hopes.

Inviting Veer's family. OMG she is smart so how did she think that it won't affect them. 😕 It was quite a stupid move by her.

Lavanya is able to twist Pakhi around her little finger because she is exploiting Pakhi's brainwashed psyche.

Since childhood Pakhi has been married to loyalty and love to Anshuman and his family. This has the mantra dinned into her head.

Lavanya knows this and is exploiting it. Pakhi is responsible for letting Lavanya exploit her and for her own choice deliberately humiliating Veer and his family.

Pakhi invited Veer's family - so they are her responsibility. If Pakhi was married between the ages of 4-7 years then now sheis 23-26 years old. She is mature enough to know her duties to her in-laws and guests. She can no longer hide under Lavanya's skirt or should I say dress.

Veer's reactions and responses clearly indicate that he was not aware of Pakhi's plans.

On Friday, October 24 Veer and Jiji stole the show. They truly lived and breathed their roles. No one would say they are acting.

Pakhi is over reacting. The scene you have capture clearly shows this. I must say "the lady doth protest too much". A clear indication that "guilty conscience pricks the mind". Pakhi knows that she is in the wrong. Her actions were deliberate and intended to hurt Veer and Jiji. Instead of saying I am sorry - she is blaming Veer!!😕

ITA - her her life has always been awaiting of Anshuman, Since childhood she has been married into loyalty to Anshuman and his family that is why she never gave back to Lav , Anshu or Anu...and always respect them.

Pakhi thinks her (brainwashed) loyalty to Anshuman and his family is love. So, with her actions she is showing that she cannot love Veer and his family.

What Pakhi calls love is actually a sense of loyalty!!😕

It is high time Pakhi is shaken out of her misguided understanding of the word love!
