For a girl who claims she hates Veer and does not want or need anything from him it was interesting that the moment Anuja started having a go at her she looked to Veer to step in and defend her and throughout that altercation she keep looking at Veer for support.

So despite all the venom, when push comes to shove she wants/looks to Veer for help/support.!!!!!! As Vinnie said elsewhere what would happen if Veer completely walked away from her.

2. Veer's action/inaction

Veer was right in his position that he did not want to make a big issue in front of the kids but children need validation from their parents. He defended Ria but she did not see that. All she saw was that he stayed silent when Anjua was accusing her of all sorts and I suspect in her mind she thinks if he was her real father he would have defended her !!!!!!

This may be one of the reasons for the estranged relationship between them

3. Pakhi-Veer conversation

It shows the mutual respect, understanding and trust that is beginning to develop between them.

Trust is a fundamental in any relationship, you can love someone but if you cannot trust them it will not last.

Here Anjua's actions are inadvertently strengthening the bond / understanding / trust between these two !!!!

Which brings me to Pakhi-Veer relationship. These 2 are not looking for love (they have been there, done that and got badly hurt in the process). They are 2 people who because of events have found themsleves walking along the same path, are discovering that they are similar on so many levels and are realising that they can support each other as friends.

Veer has been walking this path alone for 15 odd years so although he is not looking for it I think he is mentally and emotionally ready to move on.

Pakhi has just started to walk down this path. Veer knows and understand exactly where she is at and knows that she is not ready for anything more.

So I think Veer is going to fall for Pakhi and realise it but stay silent.

Under these circumstances there is no way there is going to be any chemistry between them. It will take something completely unexpected that will make Pakhi realise that Veer has manged to make space for himself in her heart and give opportunity to the writers to show some chemistry between them.

When she realises what has happened all hell will break lose inside Pakhi as she will feel really guilty about it as she will see it as being disloyal to Ansuman which will lead to her pushing Veer away.

But for all that to develop the show needs time which its seems it may not have ...lets wait and see
