Hi everyone,
I am new in this forum , I don't spend too much time watching TV , however last few months you can say somehow I get hook with tv serial called " Tumhari Paaki" in life ok . I am big fan of Paakhi ( Sardha Arya) now . I have one interesting observation regarding Paaki that I want to share with you in this forum .

In the show whenever she is having dialogue with her husband Anshuman sometimes she used the word " Aaap " to address Anshu however I notice that sometimes she quickly switch from "Aaap" to "Tum " which I found very puzzling .

Hindi is not my native language, that's why I have no idea , is it common in Hindi language at the same time calling husband Aaap and Tum simultaneously ? or its the fault of script writer ?

Any explanation ?

Not much difference as both words have the same respect for the person , yes Tun becomes more closer then Aap . I did not notice like you, mine also first show with both actors and hooked to the characters enacted by actors ,

I haven't noticed much, but during the BF/GF track, yes I did hear her address him as tum (I think for the first time).

Welcome to the forum by the way! I'm Saffi!

The first time Pakhi addressed Anshuman as 'Tum' was during Holi, in the 'U're my Jaleebi' wali bathroom scene 😆

As long as u have respect for the person deep down in ur Heart...It's ok to address then as any of 'Tum' or 'Aap' or even Both Simultaneously. It doesn't really make much difference.

Ok , on personal note , i talk with my kids with Aap and hum . So i do not think there is much difference in Aap and tum but it depends person to person and Paakhi kind of woman will call Anshuman Aap .

" Paakhi kind of woman will call Anshuman Aap "

In the show another major female character Tanya always use the word "Tum" in order to address almost everyone , and most the time she talk very loudly rudely may be thats reason whenever Paakhi start any conversation with "Aap" its sound more sweet and pleasant for hearings ! 😆

glad to know Neerjaa you are also very caring mother like Paakhi .

Thanks other members of this forum for your warm greetings.

Its just the way you have seen around you and brought up in . Tum is same as o told you but as seen in my family or friends , calling Aap . and Tum is no rude word its only her way of talking with others .
