Ma… she decided to take to acting. In Betiyaan she plays the youngest daughter (Lakshmi) the unwanted girl child in the house but grows up to be a strong willed woman who stands up for all the women in the house.
"People told me to try for acting while I was participating in Sa Re Ga…I gave auditions and got selected for the show. And I wanted to be a part of this industry besides I don't look bad so I thought of giving it a shot. I relate myself to Lakshmi's character and deep down I am sensitive to all things that are going wrong around us in society. Also, my family has always supported me in what ever I have wanted to do," says the pretty young gal who's still basking in the glory of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge.
So, what's more difficult for the budding actor is it singing or acting?
"If you have mastered both the art forms then both are easy or else both sound difficult. I am a singer first and will continue to sing . Acting is new for me and here all my co-stars are helping me at every step. In fact, at this stage I am looking at television as an opportunity to learn and grow. Later, I'd love to experiment with films,"smiles Twinkle who is now busy shooting almost twelve hours a day and

When queried on the recent controversies concerning the show, the actor brushed it aside claiming she's clueless about it. Twinkle will soon also start working on an album with Sa Re Ga Ma Pa music.
Coming to Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge, what was the entire experience like?
"It's been a great experience and a platform to showcase my talent. Sa Re…stage meant everything to me and I owe my success to Zee and Sa Re Ga and now also Creative Eye," points out Twinkle who belongs to a musical family ( both her parents are music teachers in Lucknow). Currently the peppy actor is residing in Mumbai with her mother.
Signing off she confidently says,"I am not nervous but just a little anxious about the show. But then on second thoughts, there's no success without hard work".

Yes guys no show can touch me like TD has ...it will always have a special place in my heart but for the sake of friends and not the show Betian is ok...and who knows once we start participating on the forum we may actually start enjoying it.

Yeah!!Twinkle coming in a show...she is very pretty, she used to do alot of performing with her singing also 😆 😆

At present I have stopped subscribing to ZEE...I have no DK to look forward to in the evenings...switching on Zee is painful because I so expect to see Ashsih and he is not there..

you guys please check out this Betiyaan show ..if it is good and has a handsome hero 😳 I shall think of joining Zee again

I agree Sindoor cant be popular at all people moaned about TD haveing the rubbish story but Sindoor is worst that serial has deteriated since tha last 12 months but sume dumb people still seem to love it!!!! It really annoys me!!! 😡

Halz..I was missing IF and all my friends...I did not have an internet connection for past two weeks...so I was completely out of touch..

Sindoor adopted same storyline like TD....Dhruv's family losing everything....Ved working to support family...new man entering as Ved's employer...Dhruv-Ved arguments like DK-Disha...
Twinkle should do alright provided she has good story and director...she is new ...but confident...can be very eye-catching ...she used to dance very well during SRGMP 😛

But no serial can ever replace TD...WAS VERY VERY SPECIAL.

No other films or serials which contained Love, which u could feel apart from this serial i must say hats off to u Rupu for coming up with a great serial!!!!!

You want to talk about a dumb serial......Dulhan. Now I can get my teeth into bashing that piece of crap big time. But other than that, I think our own TD fiction would be great. We could use our obvious creative minds and just go pagal. 😆 We could start with Shikha and Veer's wedding, a mysterious woman from Veer's past turns up at the wedding, threatens Shikha who decides to hire a hit man, etc., and wing it from there....... 😊

Really Rupu did a great job...made us feel love ...but after the initial 10 months messed it up completely but never mind...THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER SHOW LIKE TUMHARI DISHA IN THE HISTORY OF INDIAN TELEVISION FOR ME AT LEAST.
