My views on Tumhari Disha - 26th May '05

Well missed the complete episode thanks to a power cut but jingle's update was so detailed that i cud imagine the scenes. Anyways its the same old story of dreams (DK meeting Dish) and then comin back to reality and one more kasamm. Thanks jingle.

Rather than my take it should be my views on TD. So here it goes...

Aazuba seems to be the only sensible person in the whole of TD. He is the one who still trusts DK i guess. DK is confused abt a lot of things. One time he wants Dish to hate him then he says he loves her. I mean DK take a break deicide once and for all and then come and meet us. (I think his mind is on the e-shaadi and who is going to be his e-bride). Let me not once again start on Ved. Seriously this guy thinks that he can get away with marriage.

btw I was not clear on Dish's reaction to the removal of Sindoor and Mangalsutra. Was she sad. or was she quite ok with it. Jingle, vidya, Fizak can u pls clarify this one for me ?

SCENES OF THE WEEK

Even though I missed a couple of episodes this week my choice of scenes this week would be (based on updates and what i have seen)

Cute: Ved thinking of Dish and driving the car, When Sum advises DK abt controlling his anger DK also thinks back on Dish's advice. (proved yet again how much he thinks of Dish )
Turning Point: Inder revealed as Villain, Dish consenting to her marriage with Ved, Sum diagonosed with cancer
Dramatic : Dish removing her suhaag ki nishaani
Anti Climax: Rather than taking Dish home, Sum inviting Dish to Sonny-Pori marriage
Shocked : Dish saying ILU to Ved (but thank god in Inder's dream)
Comical: Gargi inviting Suk to come and stay in the next cell for company (very limited choice. I wanted to mention the scene rather than character)
To be noted: Gautham Sanya marriage
Poor DK: was slapped by Dish (once more) after a huge misunderstanding

My one sentence suggestion to TD characters
DK: Need to get your priorities right
Ved: Dish does not love u.
Dish: There is something called as trust
Suhas: Understand your daughter
Rano: Never trust anyone blindly
Inder: Grow up
Pori: Kanaka Empire is with Ved
Sum: Correlate what u see and use ur brains to understand
Gargi: Get released fast

PREDICTIONS

My prediction for the twist (as i cannot comment on acting this time. Also inspired by a few posts by you ppl here) is that both Dish and DK wud be thinking of each other. DK wud take a break and come to Dish's mandap. Here Ved wud be happy in a sehra. Indy wud try and convince Dish abt his love. he wud say if Dish does not stop the marriage he will kill himself (love mein paagal inder. and this one explains the gun). Dish is shocked. that is when DK also comes. Inder places the gun on the table and both Inder and DK have some word fights. Dish becomes annoyed , asks them to stop, they do not listen then tells 'main goli maar dungi' (Translation: I will shoot. Usual dialogue before every shot at least in movies). Both Inder and DK look at her shocked. Dish then takes out the gun and shoots. dishhhuummmmm.......(no dk babu it was not Disha being called but the sound of a bullet) The bullet hits DK's leg (crutches may go) and he murmurs Dishaaaa and fanits. Dish is frantic with worry and shouts at the top of her voice....utho dushyant dk......dk.......Everyone comes to the room. Ved and DIsh move DK to the hospital. Dish is still frantic with worry. Ved looks at her and realizes that no matter what Dish's heart is always with DK. Inder remains mum. Polices comes to enquire. They find Dish's handprints. ...(to be contd...at a later date depending on story next week)

QUESTIONS

• Now am positive that these shaadis will not happen. What is the twist which will stop both the marriages (choices are dish shooting, Gargi, all of the above, none of the above). If ur choice is none of the above pls indicate what is the reason.
• Will DK break Dish' kasam this time (he is anyway going to break one. Either this or not to drink).
• Will Ved ever realize that his is a one-sided-love. Will Ved let go of Dish easily without a fight or react like Inder.
• Is TD reaching its logical finale or can we expect some more twists and turns (read it a stretchinnggggg) in the story ?

Here are my answers.
This is an answer to the first and fourth question-I am hoping that Gargi gets so mad about Ved getting married to Disha that she does something that this whole convulted, twisted story gets back on line.Like I say though that my gut instinct is that this is going be wishful thinking on our part and they will get married thereby lenghtening the whole serial and messing it up further in the process.

I hope he breaks his kasams.They are beginning to get on my nerves.I mean how many ridiculous things are they going to do using the guise of kasam??I though have a nasty feeling its not going to happen.According to the update DK tells Vedant, she is ruining her destiny by her own hands.This does not seem like someone who is keen on holding onto or fighting for his woman.YOu never know though.So crossing my fingers on this one.

I think Ved does know it is a onesided but he is too much in love with Disha to realise that onesided romances do not normally work out and it is a Hindi TV serial so things dont happen the way they happen in normal life.

You said something about trust Swathi but the problem with trust is that it strengthens with time and the Ds have not had too much time together.They have had too much go wrong in the brief time they have had together and by the time this fragile trust came in, they were separated.They needed more time to have unflappable trust. Also there are enough people in their life to create problems which does not help their cause.

according to me both r possible gargi might do her best to get out of the jail but he primary reson would be disha's shoting

mostly the sumitra might realise her mistake and come forward but now i don't think dk wil break the promise because our guhas are over sensible of not breaking kassam's at the right time.

mostly i feel vedanth is playing for time and he knows very well that disha loves his brother but when it comes to inder he will surely kick him and he will never react like inder

• the twist has 2 b dish shooting.........now that indy has turned villain sure he is the source of the gun & the argument which may result in the promo scene of dish shooting some1.........Q is if she shoots indy, Rano ka drama phirse shuru hojayega........"di how could u shoot my pati dev nonsence"
• hope dk breaks the kasam.........theres just too many of them.......but then again he will think about sumi & what he has 2 do 4 her.........so u never know where his priorities r going to ly........
• well if ved hasn't realised already that his is a 1 sided luv story then he is just as bad is bandar indy........i do think he will realise that he has 2 let go of dish & will handle the situation way better than bandar..........
• after ashish's post there is obviously a twist on the cards which we r going 2 njoy..........the Q is whether this spells finale???

Swathi thanks again for your analysis even though you didn't watch the ep but i was pretty depressed yesterday as these kasams, dreams and misunderstandings are really taking a toll now i am getting sick and tired of all the good scenes being a dream...raising viewer expectations and than dropping them like a bombshell god uffffffffff i am totally mad..😡😡

Azuba what a gentleman and can't disha see him supporting DK means that he trusts him, waise to disha all the time listens to him but here she is listening to ved too much....I think disha's ego is getting in her way but i also believe that DK loves her more than she loves him at this stage just becuase DK is lost he doesn't know what to do but disha ji takes all her suhag nishanis off and is ready to marry VED ufffff disha come out of your ego phase as you only love one man that is DK.

VEd i don't understand cna't he see that disha is in love with his brother but i guess he is seeing what he wants to and that is he loves her and wants to keep her happy but i think if he never trusted DK he wouldn't doubt him like this and he will go and ask him rather than threatening him so openly that he can't meet his own wife ufffffff...😡

Yes i guess the marriage day will reveal the next twist in the story as many have predicated DK getting shot even though disha doesn't want to shoot him my guess is this too i think inder the bunder will cause trouble and than disha will want to shoot inder but DK will get hurt marriages will stop and i hope this time she nurses him back to health..uffff i am totally mad i don't know how i wrote this...😡

Disha I feel was sad when her mother asked her to remove the suhaag ki nishaanis. Like she was not ready for it. She thinks "Mom what have u asked, it would have been better if you had asked for my life". At least this dialogue shows that she was sad when confronted with this situation. But anyways I didnt like Disha's attitude towards DK yest. She was like very mean and impatient with him. I agree with you azoba is the only sensible person in the whole of TD.

hmmm...yeh maybe dk will get shot in the leg and lose the crutch maybe thats his new makeover as ashish did say dk in undergoing a new look............hmmm we'll just have to wait and see

finally I finished reading your take.. for some reason kept getting interrupted.. anyway thanks for your take Swathi.. it always leads us to some good discussions. You're started a great trend esp. with your q's at the end 👏

First of all, I agree Azoba is the only sensible man left in TD and maybe cuz of his age. As they say, older people are more sensible 😳 But I'm hoping that Disha would listen to him.. she said she loves DK but does she not trust the man she fell in love with SLOWLY (we know.. we waited forever for her to admit it.. hehe)

Love your one sentence suggestions for characters! Only if they followed 'em in TD, we wouldn't e having these discussions 😆 DK does need to take a break & realize what he wants. We'll show him if he comes to the e-swayamvar 😉😆

Anyway, as for Ved & Indy.. guys seriously.. take a hint!! Disha doesn't love either one of you.. why are you making things difficult for yourself n us the viewers 😳 She only loves DK & will love him always.. and she's married for god sake!! ufff... Gargi where are you?! We need you....

Thanks for updating this thread with ur replies and encouragement. When I reread the update (for 26th May'05 by jingle) i came across this line mentioned by DK 'disha you don't know what you are doing, you are spoiling your fate by your own hands'. Rather than Dish I think its DK who is spoiling the lives by his one wrong decision for the so called happiness of Sum. of himself, Pori (though she is interested in his money am sure DK wud never be able to consider her as his wife and that is injustice if he marries her) , Dish (who is now being forced to marry Ved) and of course Ved. Is that really logical ? Who is spoiling whose fate. Its like jug calling the kettle black. And I don't understand does he expect Dish to wait for him even after his marriage to Pori. Ok assume that Sum dies , what if she gives a kasam to DK that he shud always be happy with Pori. In that case will he forsake Dish yet again ? As I mentioned in my take I think its best for him to think on his priorities and act accordingly. If he decides to follow his mother's bidding then he needs to divorce Dish and let her move on with life. (i guess got a bit anti-dk here but just penned down my feelings on the situation. Need to see the actual episode to see if DK indeed was guilty )

I have a feeling that its a combination of Gargi and the shoot. Gargi would never want Ved to end up with Dish her enemy. So am sure she will do some of her tricks in the mandap.

I think he will break Dish's kasam unwittingly. Something like he may not want to meet Dish but meet her conincidentally.

Ved has already realized that this is one-sided love but it is just that he does not want to see that aspect. I guess he feels that he is saving Dish from his big bad bro's clutches. But I also have a feeling that he will be more of a gentleman and the moment he realizes that DK and DIsh are indeed a made for each other couple he wud do everything possible to get them back 2gether. He loves Dish and he will just be happy with her happiness (unlike Inder) and her happiness lies in being with DK. Dk also has never got a normal life so I guess the least that he deserves is a normal (ok happy) married life at least.

I think that TD is reaching its finale. Even if there are some twists I don't think that they can be sustained for long. Here am assuming that once they (Ds) get back 2gether for well and good then the serial will end. I dunno what will happen if they decide to show the after marriage trials and tribulations. (to start with Gargi in case if they have not already solved the prob before marriage or else Sanya or even some business problem).

Once again wishing u all a fantastic week end and next week we will get to know who is gonna be the e-bride in the e-shaadi. (Then memsaab can edit her marriage certificate post and chilly can get ready with the evite).

Love Azuba and he believes in DK because he saw how worried DK was trying to track Disha after she was thrown out (saw epi yesterday in UK). He can't believe DK can go from caring to non-caring so quickly.

Agree that the shaadis will not happen but I think it is going to be a case of Gargi shooting towards Disha & DK coming in front to protect her. Dk will be there because he has come to know Inder was behind the Ved beating and he comes to confront Inder.

DK always breaks the kasams except when his mum gives them (ughhh 😕 ). Maybe once Disha knows it wasn't DK, she will go to him.

Ved is a gentleman and will let Disha go when he realises DK does truly love Disha. He is just clutching at straws at the moment.

I sincerely hope that TD is reaching the end. I would hate it to be extended beyond the DK/Disha marriage. The current open-ended twists can all be sorted out while Disha nurses DK and they can sort the rest TOGETHER.
