Chhavi Mittal-Hussein Chhavi Mittal-Hussein, who played the title role in Tumhari Disha, has just returned from London after shooting for her maiden feature film, Kaise Kahe which, incidentally, is directed by husband Mohit Hussein. The film produced by Smita Thackeray, introduces her mooh-bola bhai Rajveer. But Chhavi is paired not opposite Rajveer, but Kunal Kumar, since she plays the second lead. My role in the film is that of a close friend of the lead couple, who helps bring them together," discloses Chhavi. Was it tricky having hubby direct her? "Before my marriage, I acted in the tele-film Yes or No, which Mohit directed. Chhavi scoffs at the idea that she landed the film because Mohit was the creative boss. "They cast me because I suited the part. And this decision was first approved by producer Smita ji. Had I influenced Mohit, I would have been cast in the main lead in the role which is played by model Neha Jhulka," she argues. Different from Disha Wasn't she missing her Disha character after she quit the serial? Not really. I opted out because I could not get myself to play a 45-year-old character after the leap. My role in the movie is drastically different from my Disha character. It was such a welcome break for me," insists the model-turned-actress. Hubby Hussein was, apparently conservative and not comfortable watching biwi Chhavi doing cosy lovey-dovey scenes. Won't that affect her filmi aspirations? "As long as it is within decency limits, there is absolutely no problem from Mohit's side. Whilst playing Disha there were frequent 'hugging' scenes. For that matter even in Yes or No, directed by Mohit, I was required to enact romantic scenes. Physical proximity is an integral part of the acting profession," she counters. After the recent case of hubby Hemant Prabhu directing real-life wife Manasi Salvi in Sati — Satya Ki Shakti, the Chhavi-Mohit combo is yet another instance of a TV actress being directed by her off-screen husband. Who's next?

i guess it wasn her fault after all.. some comments on this form made me think it was her fault..

Now Chavi will be offered roles by her hubby only...no one else will take her..and yes she better stick to second fiddle roles...which have no romantic link ups 😆 😆 ...other wise hubby naraaz ho jaayengey..

Chavi should have quit TD right after her marriage...if her Mohit has such reservations about his actress wife...
that way Disha would have been replaced long back...the audience would have been saved from watching a lovestory which did not have passion and love...

Mohoit is conservative and yet goes around parties with his wife dressed in indecent clothes...

Wearing disgusting clothes is not indecent but hugging your co-star is indecent? 😡 😡

Have I missed out any Td episodes?..when did we ever see cosey lovey -dovey scenes?...Chavi did not even hug properly...and as Far as I can remember...all the 2Ds scenes were very decent..

Rupali and Zee should have kicked out Chavi long back!!!

Here comes the article we were expecting.I guess her career as actress will be limited only for her hubbys films now or some roles in the second lead as a friend supporting the main lead.

As far as romantic scenes are concerned I think she has always spoiled these lovey dovey scenes with her unnatural hugs and lack of passion. I find it bit strange that why this insecurity became so high and a big problem after AN got married that she had to find excuses to quit the serial.

Mohit himself is in this profession he should atleast be a person who should be knowing that all this is acting. Is it his wife he doesnt trust?

Once actress Shweta Kwaatra told in her interview that we are doing all these scenes in front of 50-60 people and even if someone has any personal attraction one cant express it there while shooting.

The way she is dressed off-screen doesnt give that image which she is trying to give on-screen, that is what I would call a double standard........

It surely looks like Mohit has no trust in his wife ...that is why he used to do watchman's job on Td sets...watching over romantic scenes 😆 😆

Here we were ...dying to see nice moments bet' 2Ds...and there was Mohit ...definitely not wanting nice moments bet' his wife and co-star on screen...

I bet..Mohit will direct very cosey love scenes bet' his lead stars...as is the on going thing in films nowadays...

But he wanted his wife to play romantic lead in a drama without any close scenes 😕

Chavi stuck to TD only for money...because earlier Mohit was just directing bit tele episodes here and there...so he needed his wife's income...but now that he is directing a film ...they do not need her to earn as much...so she created all these hassles ..

Again...now that they are back from london shooting...she is dressing up in tarty clothes ...desperately seeking attention and roles

OMG How did i guess that there will be a article on Chavi the minute I log on!!!!! I dont believe this so her stupid hubby was the reason behind all this then and so what was the need to make all this petty excuse about the leap.
Wher as far as im concerened Mohit and Chavi can go to hell cos theyve both spoiled all this. Yeh I bet she was casted on this film cos she suited the role over my dead body!! she only got this role cos of her hubby not cos shes a good actress oh so shes even opposite someone i bet her hubby made sure that he directed her scenes with each other 6 feet apart!!!!!
Chavi ull only be casted with serials/films with ur hubby directing them whose gonna want u!!!!!!
And as far as hugging with AN she calls that hugging she needs to think twice to know wat huggin is especially the way she used to do it.
Oh and her hubby Mohit thinks its ok not to hug anyone on screen but its ok for ur wife to be dressing like a tart in public areas!!!!!
U were right Mona shes only doing it to bag roles on films and other serials but it seems like shell only be doing her petty hubbys films. Whose gonna watch ur films Chavi and Mohit u both can go to hell!!!!!!! 😡

Chavi is apparently not missing her Disha character...so why should any of us miss her!!!She does not deserve any admiration or love from the viewers.

I knew she went to London which had something to do with her hubbys films cos she didnt indulge much when she was asked by the media and also if it was a holiday then surely she would have bragged on about it!!!!
