He did so because dear Meenakshi was about kill his wife in the middle of the road, so what right does she have to lecture him on justice, duty, oaths and such? How seen first hand how this monstress treats the inmates in jail, and she has it out for Kalyani on a personal level because she's convinced the latter killed her husband.
Any caring husband would have done the same, because at least it bought them some time to find the real culprit even by investigating on their own.
Had he let Meenakshi have her way, Kalyani would have died in a police encounter and the dear commissioner would've cooked up a story to malign Kalyani's name and present herself as the hero of the story.
I won't be surprised if Monstress is involved in the drug smuggling and gave the order for her husband to be killed, as he was close to catching Sunita.
Riya I am very well aware why Malhar did what he did. I did not mention he's wrong to save his wife. As a husband he's right because he knows his wife cannot be a criminal.
My mention about his duty is how he will be seen in the eyes of law until Kalyani's innocence is proven. The law is not just Meenakshi the commisioner. In the police department's eyes, he is now a defaulter.
So the man is always left with only two options😆
1) He does his duty of law he becomes a defaulter in the eyes of the family.
2) He performs the duty of a husband, he becomes a defaulter in the eyes of law.
Right now he has chosen the second option because this case cannot be handled by him. It has gone out of his hands and he knows that Kalyani would never see the daylight if he hadn't made her get away.
And what you have written about the commisioner being involved in drug case is very similar to the theory that I posted a few pages back. I have still not negated that theory.
