I didn't see anything wrong with scene btw Kalma about them discussing the next step TBH.

Yes, this is the same man who used to put law and his uniform above all else, family included... but these 5 yrs, the thought and guilt of having lost both his son and wife have deeply affected the poor man!

Kalyani was already his weakness back when he was our rough and tough Malhar Rane, so it makes sense that he'd do anything in his power now to keep her safe now after all they've gone through.

OTH, spending 5 yrs on her own without having Anu and Malhar to depend on for everything must've also brought changes in Kalyani, although so far CVs have been doing a very bad job of showing it.

Hopefully, they start now.

This, obviously, is just my 2 cents after watching how the scene was portrayed and the dialogue... Malhar said at least 3x that he can't loose Kalyani again, so I think that CVs aren't doing him a disservice but showing the lengths he's willing to go to for his Kallu and his fear of losing her again.

What I did not like, though, is Abhimanyu repeatedly butting into Kalma's conversation when nobody asked his opinion... which I'm sure is leading up-to professional or romantic rivalry btw Abhimanyu and Malhar.
