No, articles say that Anu has lost all hope in life and has become a puppet of AS. I think a possibility is that may be AS knew she was alive and told her to stay away from the family so that she can see Malhar get convicted for murder and get a demotion, and basically ruin his life. AS probably also told Kalyani that she will take care of Anu and not to worry about her and to come back when she has a powerful position to get revenge on Malhar.
