Pillu is a kid at this stage he can be brought up ( like in penguin not extreme case as the movie) such that he gets close to athu and won't stay or trust nayone other than him

My hunch is that either Malhar will come to know that the doctor was faking all along and while he is trying to inform Kalyani and the family of the good news, Trilok may sneak Moksh out.

OR

The operation will be successful, but once his anaesthesia wears off, Trilok will sneak away with Pillu and Malhar would not know it.

So this way Pillu need not be declared dead. The parents would know he was kidnapped and their inability to find him would lead to separation.

In penguin also the parents were aware the child was kidnapped, the parents separated because the dad blamed the mother. Here probably as someone had mentioned, Kallu will blame Malhar for not being more alert.

Later part, when and if at all Atharv enters with Moksh, it can be shown that he rescued Moksh from the clutches of Trilok and kept the child away from KalMa as revenge waiting for the right time to pounce on them.

When KalMa find out, he may say if they want Moksh, Swara should agree to be his wife. Swara may agree for the sake of Moksh.

And if malhar stays with his entire family including Deshmukhs it won't be easy for a new girl to have access upon him. Other than as and baapji entire AN is filled with kalma fans so they will not let anyone near him. If he is alone also though girl can't have his heart she can have much access to him as his duty related or as a friend or supporter

I strongly feel it is Malhar beacuse he is in the hospital with kaka if something goes wrong he will be blamed and none other than kaka will believe his version or innocence

Divya was SI and trilok was running drug buisness under his pharma license using divyas police status. Divya was initially unaware and later on sides trilok just due to her love for him and thinking about her kids future if both gets arrested. Malhar finds it out gives her a chance and she runs away. Her consiouss pricks her fear of Malhar her relay with trilok shatters and she even get addicted to drugs to get rid of her guilt as she was an honest cop until she started helping her spouse.

And trilok feels their martial bliss ( he seems obsessively in love with divya) was shatter due to the honesty and righteousness of Malhar

So I think these points malhars honesty and righteousness and law above all policy may have something to do with pillus presumed death or kidnap and he will be going on a self imposed exile away from family and not kalayani. Wether he will leave his police job for a while being as it took away his pillu and kallu away from him is a question .

Easiest explaination is that he takes a transfer to another city cause he's angry and feels guilty. And he goes back to being Atom Bomb, an amazing ACP, who is ruthless with criminals, something like that.

And like you said Gayu, he can return to Aurangabad cause he is assigned to guard this girl.
