What could the Cvs do to mend this?

Do you guys think, that if they add another aspect to the storyline it could work?

I mean, maybe the Suman situation isnt the only things holding Uma back... that was the first thing that made him marry Meera but later something else happened that made him stay with her and not even seek out Kanak at all, even wish that she didnt come back... maybe there is really some huge danger on Kanak, posed by Meera or her father, although neither of them recognised her at the party...

How else could they possibly redeem Uma and justify why we should still trust him

What Meera did to Uma is very much similar to sort of what Uma to Kanak.

Uma did wrong to kanak and Meera did wrong to Uma.

Kanak rather than taking legal help, complain to police when she able to ran away she took wrong route to come back to Uma because she dont want to risk Bhabho's health.

She certainly had advantage of having Ved as brother and could have high possibility of making sure Uma won't harm Bhabho but she dont want to take even slight risk.

Uma choice is same now. He dont want to risk Suman's future. Kanak is ready to sacrifise herself before but still maintained her dignity and Uma is doing the same.

I dont see both situations are any different except that now its very hard for us to see them separated after lot of ordeals.

KanUm had a relation too which is beyong all the relations. If truth known, I am more than 100% sure Kanak will admire for his decision as she is not selfish nature.

She will understand and supported Uma. But Uma dont want Meera's madness fell on Kanak. He wanted her to think he betrayed her rather than risk Kanak's safety.

That part why Uma didn't say anything is still need to be shown and I guess then we able to understand more. So far Meera is mad person and would have done harm to kanak.

I rather Kanak be happy and think of Uma betrayed her than she is dead or some other track.

Uma always trusted Kanak blindly when it's really important and even when she in questionabe situations. Same trust kanak is not able to give Uma.

She should have stayed back and try to find the truth behind all this rather than running away.

But every one choice is not same and we cant be perfect always.

^ good point, I did not think of this side at all. When Kanak randomly divorced Uma, he still kept faith in get although he was heartbroken, but Kanak immediately labelled him as selfish and greedy. A little bit of patience from her side mightve helped things, mightve stopped circumstances becoming what they now are, 2 years later.

And otherwise yes I see where you're coming from. The track couldve been a lot worse, they couldve been a faked death and KanUm may not have come face to face for months... and now I appreciate that our cvs didnt do that.

So you think Kanak will forgive Uma quickly and it wont be illogical? I'm beginning to think so a little too after reading your post... its great to be optimistic and I wish I could be more often in terms if KanUm... I do strongly believe they are made for each other.

I agree with u totally, there is definitely more to it, as uma didn't even try to search her whereabouts and just thinking she must have to move on from him..

Agree with @manasa that uma is thinking kanak's safety important than her hatred towards him and she'll move on.. But she didn't and can't move on ever nor he can. When he realizes it he will ask forgiveness.. And kanak will forgive him like uma did in divorce track when kanak's life was in danger by forgetting all his anger and hurt caused by her betrayal of trust..

I think this time also a situation will arise where kanak might be in danger because of meera and in the process of saving her uma may hurt.. Then kanak will forgive him as her anger and hurt are less compared to fear of loosing him forever..

But whatever may happened kanum being together have to eliminate this meera from their lives because they are diya aur bati..
