The plan is simple, another round of pretense, disguise and lies - it's kinda poetic justice that to get justice KanUm have to play along the similar lines as Massi. Massi spent years as an ultra regressive sanskari nari - in her disguise of being desi she held power both in the house which she kept away from the worldly matters and the company she had set up in Bangkok. In process of building up an empire for herself she lied, cheated, pretended, hurt and even murdered people, in short she filled her coffers by deceit. But no crime is perfect, she left in wake victims, the people she used as a ladder to her height of success.
It's time that the same victims rise from the depth of darkness and fight for their right, justice - to fight evil, being good/righteous is important but sometimes only evil fights of evil... Kanak comes up with a plan of deceit and betrayal that would bring forth the true story of Massi in front of the world.
Kanak walks in like Baby D, she falls right into Uma's arms.., they look at each other while Rani cribs about Kanak's whereabout, Uma feels through the facade, the Chandna mehak is what binds them, he can be blind, in the other side of the curtain, but still he could savor the mehak... Kanak was right in his arms dressed up like a stranger but he feel the chandan mehak on her, the fate with which she was born to be his...
Kanak reveals her grand plan that they have to get near to Massi and Aditya to get to Palomi... Uma is all ears, they would use Sir David's daughter identity to trap Aditya - Aditya being the weak link Massi game... he is a strong player, but he gets swayed easily for he has a weakness for women... Kanak would pretend to be an heiress of a multimillionaire and would trap Aditya and that way they would get close to Massi.
Kanak plays the first round of baiting Aditya, she leaves her bag with her fake identity on his boat intentionally, looking at her appearances of being filthy rich Aditya is lured to the idea of courting Baby D... Aditya informs his mother about the prospective DIL for her, they being tech savvy, google about baby D and Kanak covering all bases this time, has a cover uploaded on the internet before hand. Massi is convinced that Baby D is not a con, because as they say a con is always wary of other con artist - Aditya assures her that he would trap Baby D in his love and get his hands on everything - it's like a game within a game, Aditya would proceed with the idea that he is trapping Baby D whereas actually it's the other way round.
In between all the craziness of plotting and trapping, there is a beautiful KanUm scene where Kanak teaches Uma, how to behave like a Punjabi- it's kinda stereotyping Punjabi people, but no matter what they are large hearted and Zinda dil people, they celebrate life to the fullest. Kanak teaches Uma Bhangra/Gida, he tries copying her, after numerous attempts he stops and sits down, giving up that he can't do it - he admits his defeat, his failure of not being able to cope up, he never had done such a thing before, he is hesitant. Kanak teaches him to be loud mouthed, some routine slangs which he takes to be on the offensive side, he glared at her - that glare seems to be of a husband, stopping his wife from saying abuses which she later explains are not abuses, but required for his character of Harpreet Singh Dhillon - Uma listen carefully, hesitantly but curiously, he is ready to play the game. He knows that sometimes to reach or to achieve their goal, the path need not be straight but can off track too.
Aditya comes to the hotel in an attempt to meet Baby D, there Uma makes his entry like an over enthusiastic Punjabi guy, he is loud and almost in character - it's ironic that Avi being a Punjabi himself had to put together such an act. Uma is right in front of Aditya, yet Aditya cannot see past the appearances, Uma looks at him boasting about being owner of a pharma company, Uma looks him in the eye, the expressions on his face are of anger and intensity yet he plasters a smile on his face and plays through his part. Uma lures Aditya more into the trap by challenging him that he is just another guy after Baby D...
It might be easy to say that the villains are dumb that they can't see through the disguise, but ain't it human nature to wear masks and put up appearances in front of different people. And people only see what they want to see.
