Hey there all the lovely people!!
It's sunday and it's time for fan fiction - today its originally a two shot complete in one post, it's a Christmas treat for all to read the entire story in one go itself.
It's insane, stupid and weird all that I can manange it to be.

Kanak turned to face Uma, his face calm with tranquil peace, he was finally asleep she concluded, she was waiting for him to sleep for a long time, she was restless in the beginning but due to his constant questions she tried playing dead for a while, he still hovered around her checking every now and then... she got up quietly, she pulled open her bed side drawer slowly, praying it won't creak. Kanak took her mobile and tiptoed outside in the lawn, she sat at the steps and called Bhabho.
"I am not feeling well... there is a constant heaviness... there is this feeling that something is about to happen... how can I talk to Uma... yes I know I need to communicate with him... I know it's a phase and things will be alright ... Uma is there for me, he takes care of me, he loves me but something is off...I don't understand things now ... I feel suffocated..I will come over to Pushkar tomorrow I need a break. Kanak finished her phone call and stared ahead at Shivji idol.
Uma stood at the door listening the last bit of the conversation - she was suffering, suffocating and she needed a break and she was going - her voice replayed in loop on his head ... where has he gone wrong, this marriage was never easy on them, but things were atleast on track... they were getting to be like normal couples.. they were getting along fine...they had ups and downs but why now...after all this time, questions ran through him like currents. He went back to bed and closed his eyes as he heard Kanak walking back inside.
Kanak opened her eyes to a small overnight bag placed on Uma's side... he was packing his clothes... she sat up straight with a jolt and asked "what's this? Where are you going ?? " Uma looked at her and kept folding his clothes, he said I have some work in jodhpur for two days, I was wondering if you would accompany me.. "but you didn't tell me before, Kanak retorted... "it just came up suddenly, work you know, Uma said with a sheepish smile.
"How about you visit Bhabho in the meantime, he said while closing the zipper of the bag, but narrowing his eyes to look for her reaction "it would be a change for you, because I have work and you might get bored, I can pick you up when I return Kanak's eyes lightened up, he noticed the flicker in her eyes, the change of expressions to something happy at the mention of Bhabho. "Yeah, I think I would go to Pushkar, it's been quite a while... she replied happily and got up and pulled her bag out. Uma stood staring at her.
They drove to Pushkar in silence... Kanak talked her usual nonsense, but the energy was missing, she stopped talking after a while, when he only grunted hmmm and okay for replies in a conversation. He was trying to get things straight in his head, he had put two options in front of her to decide, to accompany him or visit Pushkar.. she choose Pushkar over him... what was happening, maybe he was looking too much into her words... he condemned himself for putting options for her to decide. He wasn't an option for her or was he.
Part 2
"Haye mara Ram Ji !! You are mad, you are pregnant... you scared me with all your nonsense blabbering Bhabho said while hugging her. The words rang in her ears, registering the news that a life was inside her, Uma and her baby... their child. A slow smile came over her and her pale face took a deep hue of red. So this is why she was feeling down all the time, she facepalmed herself for not being able to understand the changes that were happening with her, she had to tell Uma, how would she tell him, how would he react, thoughts ran through her while Bhabho made her sit down and not hyperventilate by going back and forth on her feet.
Uma stood near the lake where she had called him, worrying his head off trying to figure out what was happening to her or them, she had called and said that they need to talk, her tone dead serious that his heart dipped and he couldn't breath for a while.
Kanak walked up to him, while he moved forward to hug her in their customary way, she stopped him with a gesture of her hand. He stopped dead in his tracks, his hands fell and his face expressionless. She held out a big envelope for him to take, "what's this? He asked. "Uma...umm there is this she started stuttering, "...people come and go in life, it's a constant circle, someone has come in between us too "are you out of your mind? Uma asked and closed the distance between her and held her shoulder "nobody can ever come in between us, you and me are forever he said with dead certainty, his eyes holding her gaze with an intensity that she snapped and started laughing like a mad woman... she laughed till she held her stomach and hunched and he stood straight like an uptight arrow.
She held out the envelope and said "this changes everything he pulled the papers out furiously, he glanced at the paper angrily a few seconds later his expressions changed, the fury left a vacuum in its place. He stood there for a few minutes till he realized "that Kanak was pregnant and their child would be a someone between them.
Kanak walked up to him and took his hand in hers, "it's all too sudden, it's actually weird but in a good way she smiled up to him trying to evoke a reaction from him.
His hand went through this hair, lines formed on his forehead, he sighed and Kanak asked "are you not happy? Her face falling. He looked at her and cupped her face, "I heard you talking to Bhabho on phone, I was unable to understand anything that was going on with you, I had this weird thought that We' are not working anymore for you, I thought I was losing you he confessed his fears. "... but this is the best news ever, our baby.. he hugged her... he lifted her up and twirled around, both of them laughing and screaming our baby'. He kept her down smiling ear to ear and Kanak missed a step, she held to his collar for support " I am dizzy she said and he held her even more tightly "oh shoot!! I should have known he picked her up in his arms, she snuggled closer and said "we will learn together watching him, his eyes twinkling in happiness..
