Kanak signed on divorce papers after maasi signed away half the property. Maasi did not want Kanak to stay even for a moment longer in the house. Uma was unable to withstand all of this and left the house to try and calm down.

Kanak was heartbroken to leave, especially her beloved room. She fingered all of Uma's belongings lovingly. Hugged his pilow for a long time. Vansh came to take her to Pushkar. She knew that she would be back in 2 days for Payal's wedding. Although she did not want to leave Uma alone with the wicked witch maasi even for a moment, she had no choice but to leave puffy eyed with vansh, scanning the streets of Ladnu for a glimpse of Uma who was nowhere to be seen.

Uma came home very late. Palomi tried to fuss over him. He ignored everyone and went to his room. Although it had always been his room, after Kanak came, it had become his most favorite place. Her presence added soul, color and charm to that room. He loved having her things in the room and her lingering chandan fragrance. When he turned on the light switch, the barrenness came to swallow him. Kanak was the light that made his world shine. He now realized why he could not bear to even send her to a different room during the 30 day divorce period, He needed her like he needed air. They were one soul in two bodies. He felt hollow inside as though his heart was gone. He choked back a cry "Kanak! How he loved her name as now he now realized that every heart beat of his spoke it.

Kanak could not eat or drink although everyone fussed over her. She went to her room. Sleep was a far thought. She felt restless to the core of her being. Uma's face was imprinted on her soul. A loving heart like Kanak's gave it all to its beloved. She could not fathom her life without him. Even when she had walked away the last time, she could not bear to be apart from him even for a night. Now it was completely impossible. She came to the balcony for fresh air in the dead of the night. Her eyes fell to a familiar figure standing outside the closed shutters of KMB!!

She blinked for a moment thinking it to be a mirage. "Uma!! " she flew down the stairs straight Into his arms. His arms closed around her like manacles. She felt boneless as she felt fused to his body. They felt like they were absorbing each other body and soul. Wordlessly he picked her up and deposited her in her seat in the jeep. He climbed into the driver's seat hating having to leave her even for that small moment. Uma drove back to Ladnu with Kanaks arms wrapped around him. He brought her to the room in his arms. They fell into bed together. The world did not exist except sach other as they gave themselves to one another body and soul. Kanak realized that nothing else mattered, neither money nor property. As long as they were together, they had everything they ever needed to live ❤️
