Hey there all the lovely people!!
Me is back, my apologies for I being late everyday.
Direct to discussion.

Uma always said that it's pati dharm to protect the wife, to be a wall for her but as everything is upside down for KanUm. Kanak is going to be the shield for Uma, she would protect him from Massi and her evilness - it's a actually ridiculous that Massi calls Uma a little child who would only do as she says - kids are not to be controlled, being a child is a paragon of being comfortable in ones own skin, a child has no concern of right or wrong, good or bad, it just goes about playing and doing stuff as it sees everything with excitement, of exploring the world, it's house big or small, toys or no toys, the child explores and lives in a way - a phase of never ending intrigue that never ends. Deep down that childhood was ripped away from Uma and he despite being an grown up adult man, never had the chance to be himself as he was conveniently placed in the chains of meaningless restrictions woven by Massi.
Massi the same woman who over the years hoarded money in name of donation from Uma, while Aditya was given every right to be a brat, besharm, to be whatever he saw fit...
Uma like a child listens to the perspective Kanak has put forward - girls have this dream of marriage, the groom coming like a knight in a shiny armor riding a white unicorn... all of this was deprived from Payal, earlier when Aditya Payal married while they were kids and later only Payal took her vows to the photo, now that Aditya is ready to take up on his responsibilities as her husband why don't they get married... Uma is interested in her suggestion for he wants Payal to forget all her sufferings and woes and start fresh, he accepts the suggestion and agrees to it - but the point here again is that he wants the best for Payal yet she is not in the process of decision making, it's a circle of things that happen repeatedly that everyone is deciding for other, thinking they know best... be it Vansh for Kanak or Uma for Payal at the moment. Payal who is outraged at another decision thrown at her side, takes out her anger by going berserk... girl instead of spying from the window, you could have added your point of view, an opinion given in a decent way can hardly be ignored. It's unless she puts herself out there, people will continue taking decisions for her. Kanak too, for the greater good of Payal is fighting a war for Payal...

Uma is affected by Kanak and he cannot deny it anymore. His expressions flick and he is visibly upset when Kanak is questioned about their impending divorce. He waited with bated breath for her to answer and she replied "she is happy, for she is leaving by herself - when did Kanak decide that she would leave, she lied to be happy but this lie is going to benefit it her, for Uma is after all a man, rejection comes the hard way for them. Kanak is admiring a necklace, she puts it to herself and asks him about it - that necklace was of almost same design as the anklets Uma gave Kanak... Uma is bitter towards her and she is clueless about the reason. Amidst everything KanUm had a scene of their own, especially with jewelry.. men like their woman dressed up, the beauty adds allure to the gems that pretend to adorn them. And women love to be dressed up to get attention from their beaus.,, Uma must have wanted to admire her, to tie the necklace around her, to love her but he keeps himself aloof but he is affected nonetheless.

- Uma is an "abla nar" and Payal is an "abla nari" - One makes decisions under misapprehension and the other claims "oppression" without ever opposing the decisions

- Kanak was on a winning streak today - she stood up for the two "ablas", halted Aditya, recovered Uma's money, and per precap will get to know why her "abla nar" is suddenly so bitter

- Glad there was no SarVansh drama

Hey there Anjana
Thank you for reading and a wonderful spot on comment.

I love your take on abla nar and nari- but one of them is ignorant of the fact that he is a bechaara, a stallion/kid/man on whom bets are being placed. Ignorant of the fact that he needs protection, that he is being betrayed from all sides. Whereas Payal sees everything but does nothing about it, everything is happening right in front of her, people at talking and deciding about and she is standing quiet, and throws the tantrum of being helpless in solitude.

Kanak was brilliant today. The way she stopped Aditya, convinced Uma regarding marriage and expenses... she was beautiful in the jewelry scene too, expressions were all top notch

I liked today's epi
Aditya was hilarious today and kanak was bang on
Uma was clueless and hurt when kanak said she is happy

Cant wait for tomorrow's epi for kanum scene
And thanka for no sarvansh scene 😆

I guess finally payal ia trusting kanak and acting accordingly
Wish she did that before

@anjana nice post on able nar and nari

Very good discussion of the episode!
Actually I like the episode today. I noticed Payal again agreeing to everything the family is telling her to do. She is very obedient and I like the fact that she chose to say she thought the jewellery that Aditya was showing to her was too expensive, it shows that she is not very materialistic unlike her mother.
I think we will see her start to believe in herself, she has always listened to everyone around her to Uma, to her mother even when her mother was sabotaging Kanak and Uma, to Masisa etc.
Hopefully in the near episodes we will see her stand up for herself and decide not to make a relationship with Aditya. We have a few days before the wedding to wait and see.
Coming to Uma, I can see he is slowly regretting his decision to divorce Kanak.
He has been showing signs that he cares for Kanak by constantly supporting her decisions, subtly agreeing with her points, even when it goes against what Masisa wants.
Can this possibly be the start of him realising that blind following Masisa isn't perfect? How cruel is Masisa constantly taunting them both about their impending divorce, when she knows for sure that Kanak loves him and that Uma is probably falling for her too. Masisa is trying her best to split them up,
Kanak has to lie to keep up the plot, she loves Uma too much to see his kindness and obedience being taken advantage of.
Poor Uma. You could almost hear his heart break when Kanak says she is leaving him happily.
Before he used to think with his brain, he always obeyed Masisa without a single doubt, but now his heart is getting involved and he is finding it harder and harder to find the strength to leave Kanak. He is having an inner battle with his brain and heart, his brain telling him this divorce is right, he must do what he has to do, but at the same time his heart yelling to him that it's not.
Loved the way he looks at her when she says she's happy to leave him, felt sorry for him, he's hurting inside, I don't think he could believe she said that.
Also the way he gazed at her when she was wearing a dress, he's looked at her with love many times as a husband looks at his wife, on many occasions he's looked at her and smiled, but this time there was heartache and a sense of longing and actual attraction for her.
That's not a pavitra look that I'd expect from him!😳
Anyway looking forward to the jealousy track, it's the jolt he needs to show himself that he truly loves her for her, modern clothes and all. It's time his heart finally takes over his brain.

Wow! What a explanation of beauty of childhood Dear blue,

I loved the way you brought out the joy of child. How simple their life is?

We will grow up to be more insecure and we will loose that enthusiasm to the see the wonders of the world.
Something new always is a joy to them. Thank you dear blue for such a wonderful description.

Yes, I do agree that Uma always listens to kanak with that childhood wonder when she said something different.
He will mull it over and finally comes to a decision to listen or not listen but Kanak point of view always fascinates him I guess.

I agree with you that Uma been denied to be a child and many more things that we take it granted to be our right. I really like him to realize his mistakes
and have a good life with Kanak. I love the way Kanak said to Massisa that she will be shield for Uma. I love this pair where they r perfecting each other.

I like the way you pointed out how Payal been excluded in this decision process of remmarying. Even though Uma had best intentions for Payal and probably would
have done anything for her happiness, he is exluding her from the choice nonethless. But it's more his ignorance rather than arrogance I believe. If you simply sitting and following other people decisions for you,
every one will take decisions for you. But if you started speak up and give your point of view, I am sure after few attempts, you will be asked for ur opinion.

People are so much habituated to keep doing the stuff in their way that after some time they stop re analysing themselves whether it's right or wrong. In that case, it's better to speakup.
It amazes me that payal didn't even give her idea of what others suggesting. Like now on kanak's suggestion, she didn't express whether she thinks it's good or bad.

I love those simple KanUm scenes and it's fun to watch Uma's reactions.

Hey there Lizzydarcy
Thank you for reading and a wonderful elaborate comment.

The episode was really good indeed, not because Kanak was winning but because everyone had a role to play.. the scene was well executed, where Aditya was baffled, Massi taunted and Uma was kinda supportive.

Payal is almost a realistic character...a portrayal of woman in certain circumstances, she is just given orders and instructions, she is easily influenced because there is no other option presented to her.
she turned grey, wanted Kanak out, all that was an attempt to fit somewhere, the insecurities engulfed her to such an extent that to fill the vacuum of her husband she turned to material, power and position.
As you pointed out, Payal had concerns on the jewelry being expensive, that's a stroke of reality, it's not that she doesn't mind fine things, but she has to be concerned if her husband can afford it, because like everything else she is unaware of that too... she doesn't know Aditya as a human being, let alone a husband. Let's see if the time gets a more productive and positive approach in Payal.

Uma on the other hand is regretting, but he cannot admit... he has this hole enlarged in his chest where his heart used to be... but now it's empty and aching... he heard he lie that she was happy, that snapped him... that unbearable moment of realization that he was suffering silently and she is happy, the anger is at self for not being good enough. He has to start to realize, acknowledging Kanak and her importance in his life, how she is being framed and taunted at every opportunity... he is slowly getting there, let's wait for a complete recovery from the coma he was placed in.
