I think payal didn't do anything to get out of the situation. She could have run away and told the police this was without her consent. One phone call to ved would have done it. But instead she was beguiled by her mom and hurt kanak so many times. And just because uma is praying to God do sincerely for payal and Aditya he cannot be absolved for what he did to payal! And massi sa for once had nothing to do with it. Aditya is her son and payal is her bahu but uma seemed to have taken the unnecessary keen interest in marrying her with picture despite suspecting she liked someone else. One time when kanak brought up this issue uma presented the lame excuse that he tried to protect her from society and now this. When the truth is uma could not see Payal with another man and that was the only reason. Uma loves to control everything when he can't even control himself from being abused. I know lots of you will be upset because of me but looks aside, uma shankar is payal s culprit. And kanak may be in love with him but it can't cover his wrongdoings. And if Uma is realizing what he did to pyal as "zid " then why can't he even realize one wrongdoing towards kanak. She became his wife and came back because of his "zid "! But that he stays blind to!

Uma's followers did think that they would have to use bal (their strength and force) if Payal's parents don't agree to the photo marriage.

And Payal could have called Ved. But, I suppose things had to happen this way, so they did.

Also, I loved how Payal reminded Kanak that her marriage was also forced. Kanak sometimes forgets this and never demands an apology.

I wonder if we will ever get an Uma redemption track.

The main culprit is payal herself.

Firstly,as an adult she can report to police for forced marriage.

Even, she get married on parent's pressure, I never found her indifferent to this marriage.she fully accepted herself as aditiya's wife,performed every duty of bahu, followed uma's tradition ,waited for aditiya return and never show any sign of reluctance to be aditiya's wife.

Now, she declare to love ved which I don't get how?

Second blame goes to her parents.agreed uma is powerful man but, they never show reluctance on this marriage.they didn't do anything.

Yes, uma cannot be free from his wrong doing ,yet he alone cannot be blamed.as kanak said, he want good for everyone.but, he unintentionally does wrong with many people.
