It was a breather that Kanak and Uma were talking. How Kanak is not holding back anymore, she shares a prank and Uma is unable to relate to it. She admits she loves irritating him.

Uma has no concept of friendship. That also between husband wife, girl boy, for him the genders are specifically assigned to their respective roles. He will learn slowly and gradually.

Well I don't think anything can be planned or pre planned in any kind of relationship, especially not with husband and wife... love, understanding it is never planned, things just fall in place one way or the other.
But people do think like that - 24 job, 27 marriage and by 30 a parent. People estimate their life by having an idea of confinement, a bubble as you said built by themselves.
