I believe in this age everyone is ready to share their views like how we share our feelings towards the show in this forum. Sharing and expressing are very important to human beings. Even introverts will share their feelings with loved ones.

I can think of only one scene when he talks to Kanak about his father. That's only tiny bit.

Please share any scenes where he will have heart to heart talk with someone.

I am sure in few months time we may able to view Uma sharing feelings with Kanak.

I think it's because he was very young when his father died and mother was bedridden. The sudden responsibility of becoming the man of the house was on his young shoulders. He had to become stronger and mature before age. Yes Masi Sa was there but he grew up quickly to share the responsibility of their family together. He couldn't afford to feel sad and heartbroken otherwise his family would worry about him amongst other problems. So he stopped trying to feel that way and with time, forgot how to express himself other than in simple and few words. (Like he does with Kanak, whenever he talks about his feelings or their marriage, he's very quite and straightforward, unable to use his emotions effectively, that's why people are scared of him, that's why his silence bothers Kanak).
That's my take on this topic :p

I think he was taught he has to control his emotions, otherwise feelings could guide his mind and this is out of dharm.
He explained this to Kanak when she asked him if he ever have feelings.

Uma always keep his emotional side hidden from everyone...i think his father passed away when he was really young, his mom couldn't bear the shock and got bedridden, somehow being eldest son of the family ...he try to support his family with the support of his uncle and aunt (shiv and suman's parents)...but they also died in the accident. He lost that support also..somehow masi help him to look after the family...he took the responsibility of the family at very young age. He gone through very hard time looking after the family means he was living for them, he never think about himself, his happiness . His only support is his bholenath...he share everything with him. (He said once...isse bade ghav zele hai...kerala scene..when kanak purposely elbow him combing het hair. ). He share once that he missed his father a lot.
He never share his feelings with anyone , I think over the period of time kanak get to see his emotional side and support him. I hope we get see their luv story very soon.

Well...he is a man...most men have difficulty expressing their emotions anyway 😆
Other than that...I think over the years his adherence to his dharam so strictly has given him great self-control over himself...and in the process he sort of became stoic.

Also, until Kanak came into his life...he was head of household with all the responsibilities...but no one to share his inner most feelings with.
