Hey there all the lovely people!!
Me is back. Apologies for being MIA since Saturday. But as I am back bear with my babbling, it's nonsense.
Mirage, an illusion of having seen something but it has no existence. The feeling of helplessness that respite/help/comfort is right in front of one, yet the self control to not speak, not utter a word, drinking down ones own tears in silence, kills the person from within. Kanak was that person, she was clueless in how to handle Uma when he questioned her about the mobile, accused her of not respecting the rules, she was only saved when Massi comes and intervenes. Massi asks for the reason of her worried state, Kanak says only half truth that she is worried about the Lakshmi test. They all proceed towards the lawn for the savaan ritual, of which Kanak has no idea, she spots BnB (Bhabho and Babasa) at the gate and pulls down the veil again. Uma invited BnB to the ritual. It was a ritual for for the bahu's to remember their maiyka. BnB were right in front of Kanak when Payal taunted her I found front of everyone... Kanak couldn't speak up or give back anything to Payal. Payal has had a makeover since she has decided to be a conniving devarani to Kanak. Long gone are the dull drab colors she wore on face and body.
Kanak was silent throughout the episode, sulking under the ghunghat, helpless, unable to voice her dilemma, scrunching in agony when her hand touched Bhabho's... her one true love of life standing there, giving her shagun playing the role of her maiyka wale -- the irony which only Kanak knows, but can't tell anyone. The way the Massi ma words had a ring 'maiyka k sukh nahi' were true to some extent, earlier Kanak was unloved because she was the alleged murderer of her parents but now she has distanced herself from them intentionally, as per according to her its for their good. Kanak here is walking on tight rope.. her situation is of devil and the deep sea. Being in that situation today was the unpredictable future of Kanak. She is standing in between, her choices would lead her to a precarious cliff, and would eventually have a great fall.
I am actually confused on what to say about Uma... I don't understand his expressions, words or gestures anymore. It's more enigmatic than ever. I sometimes wonder if it's a creative glitch sometimes it seems like Uma is more than it's portrayed as of yet. He prays for Kanak's success but he isn't present with her, he not fighting with her. He just wants Kanak but maybe not the whole Kanak, just his idea of Kanak. Uma's character off lately has been changing in a blink, one moment he plays prank next moment he is upset with Kanak. Uma is not consistent. Today also he stood there, he was angry at Payal for taunting Kanak. He stepped in to ask Kanak to decide about her maiyka, then in a moment later he reminds her off the deal she made by choosing Kanak sweet shop. Although he is to be the sun of her life, Kanak is to be burned by his rays/energy, yet she is to derive power from him-- off lately Uma has been absent from this role.
