I am feeling like being a bit controversial today. All this talk of dharm from Uma seems very hollow against the actions he has taken. Marrying a woman against her will is the biggest one of all. How can he justify that in terms of dharm. He acknowledges that he was wrong but is not doing any prayaschith other than giving Kanak some time before taking the next step. They have punishments for minor offenses and this is criminal from dharmic and legal points of view! What should be his punishment for that? Athough I don't approve of Kanak's back handed ways, I cannot fault her for shunning the man. He has not shown any true remorse! And another perverse thought also strikes me. If with all the Shivji sankets, had Kanak turned out to be unattractive, would he have taken them as such? He married her because he was attracted to her and used Shivji to his advantage just as he was accusing Kanak of using dharm when it suited her!!

In the same token- Bhabho's hatred for Kanak which has now put Kanak in this situation, I wonder if Suraj and Sandhya had died saving Ved or Vansh instead, how would she have behaved? Would she have applauded them for saving the kul deepak versus demonizing the paraya dhan like their daughter? I would think she would have showered double the love on the sons to safeguard the parents legacy!

Please do share your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

He is attracted to the girl, but apparently not her beliefs. He is trying to change these things about; he expects her to just adapt to a life, rules, beliefs, a man she did not choose. I think I would have ran after the onion. I get in certain religions it is bad to eat certain foods, but where is the choice. She was not raised with those rules or beliefs, nor did her family choose him as a groom.

I think we should not talk about that old woman she is simply no words
In season 1 even she has only used shravan Kumar
She was never understanding to shandhya even when everything was fine and shandhya went on a mission she brought a new girl even when suraj and shandhya decided to name their daughter and ved even announced that his parent has thought her name but she didn't give a damn
She is just full or herself and suraj even suraj to her advantage only because he was shravan Kumar
Anyway I hate her to the hell she is just ishwari of KRPKAB
But I love how vansh just ignore or give her answer ved somehow get engaged with responsibility for everyone but vansh I love him the way he love kanak
Today if vansh was not there then I am sure bhabho would have thrown kanak out and ved would have just watched it
It is vansh who is firmly with his sister
Today if kanak come and tell whole truth then bhabho will force her followed by ved but it will be only and only vansh who would stood by her
Vansh love for kanak is just limitless it is he only who has not allowed any trouble to even touch her
I just love vansh as a brother he is just straightforward and every sister would want a brother like vansh

hi deebz! me back... hey another post from you... yes me too picked up on his words... beautiful... to which I would add youthful too. his admission, he fancied her.. well for starters, old ,young , pretty of not is besides the point..he roughed up a woman.. that is unacceptable, especially when she feels threatened by his body language.. uma has to understand.. the point is he lost his professed discipline. He lost his rag! ok kanak pressed his buttons enough to make him mad. but he has to realize where he goes wrong with kanak.. takes advantage. somehow the image of a dense damsel in distress seem to be a winning. formula with.. for me kanak said no!but he was all set to flex his muscles.. not nice Kanak dignity is questionable..but uma's seem's to blemish..
regards... bhabho/kanak issue I always feel.. being a girl child kanak gets the stepmother treatment from bahbo.. thank heavens,. its neutralized by the pampering kanak gets from the rest of the family..
me hopes ,in time uma will question the validity of his actions ,against what he understands as his Dharm ...
thanks for thhought provoking a post.. love hammie

Nothing controversial about your post as far as I'm concerned Deebz 😆
I want to like Uma...I really do...but then I think about what a precious soul Suraj was...and I become so disgusted. He sounded like such a hypocrite lecturing Kanak about Dharam...when he himself committed a wrong much worse than any of Kanak's childish endeavors. First Payal and then Kanak...both have been wronged by him...and neither should let him off easy.

I don't know what version of dharam Uma follows...but it seems to be a very unforgiving one, where the women must bear the brunt of all hardships...I mean such nit picky things like...you can't wash your hair on a certain day...oh and wait...this is only for the girls...where does he come up with these rules?!?

And how dare as as Hamlet53 put it...rough up Kanak! I mean this was not locking the door and trying to intimidate her to scare...he literally roughed her up. The poor girl was crying and wiping her tears...and I just wanted to reach in there and give her a hug and smack him silly!

At this point the only person he deserves is Palomi...she can wash his feet and drink the left over water for all I care.

You also made an excellent and thought provoking point about Bhabo. 👍🏼 I like the old lady...but there is no justification or forgiveness for the way she treats Kanak or the hatred and grudge she bears against the poor girl. 😡 You're right...given her track record bias for her sons...she may have had a very different reaction if it had been Ved and Vansh Surya had saved.

Yes Fatima. I wish that they had made it so that Kanak was unaware that it was a real wedding, had gone thru the rituals and later realized it was. She then choses to stay with him and slowly reforms him. Something on the lines of the Sound of music perhaps. As far as the roughing up goes, yes. It was overkill. Kanak did try to kill him with pneumonia and made him out to be woman crazy whereas he had prided himself over his self control over the years where the opposite sex was concerned. But compared to his sins, those punishments were still nothing. They need to start showing his good side quickly now. I think he is kind to his patients and his mother. His bonding with Shiv is cute. Some background to his behavior would be welcome,

Hi deebz
Everytime Uma says anything about dharm i could not digest. For me he did the biggest crime in terms of Dharm. He even tell while scaring kanak "ur chandan smell seduce me". This is actually true. I like Avinesh but i still hate Uma. Although kanak is doing childish stunts, dont love him yet, dont respect him. Thats completely ok, because he didnt deserve it all. Respect is something that one must earn. He should at least do some remorse for what he did to those two ladies, but he hasnt acceted it yet.

Bhabho, i neither like her nor hate her. She is utterly selfish and selfcentered women. She always wished suraj to know her maan ki baat without telling him but never help suraj by any means even after him telling his wishes. You are right about bhabho, she would have definately think the other way.
