CHAPTER 2
Kanak started walking out of the house in anger. As she was walking she noticed few more paintings on the wall. They were all of happy owner with a signature on it which read, ' US'. Uma watched her leaving and a restlessness started to creep in his heart. This lady is real beauty and he was mesmerized by her. His eyes followed her till she finally went off his sight.
Kanak paced faster with an intention to get out of this place. She simply didnt want to stay. The owner of the house , no matter how handsome, breathtaking is in looks. No matter he had some great physics and look like role model...damn!!!!! He sure had 6 packs behind that shirt of his.
"Control kanak!" She scolded herself , hitting on her forehead with her hand.
The gate of the big house finally was right in front of her. She looked here and there and saw some beautiful trees and plants on either side of pathway. She liked the essence of it.
Kanak smiled when she spotted a beautiful new born rose on a branch. Her smile wider and she started walking in that direction. The rose appeared beautiful red euth dew drop sitting on top of its petals. She bends down to the plant hieght and captured the flower in her memory. Kanak was always found of roses. She loved them simply. They made her feel rejuvenate.
"If you like it you can take it." She heard a voice behind her.
The voice surprised kanak and she turned around to check whom does it belongs to.
She looked at the man with stern face. He is the one who just insulted her, the owner of this beautiful house.
She saw him coming towards her and she stood up to her full height.
He saw her looking at him and smiled.
"Here, take it." He stretched his hand to pickup the rose. As soon as he touched it, she keeps a hand over his refraining him to break it from branch.
" a beauty meant to be preserve. Not to break!" She remarked with a fake smile.
He looked at her, the soft breezes were teasing with her hair. She looked amazing with soft rays falling on her golden skin.
"If you say so." He says and smiles.
Kanak too gives a warm smile this time. She could read it in his eyes he was harmless to her.
Kanak took her hand back and the man too brought his hand back to himself.
"We haven't introduced ourself . miss..??" He trailed off for her to continue.
"Kanak" she stretched her hand for him to take.
"Umashankar" he takes her hand in his and shakes it.
'Uma shankar' she faintly remembers the name she have read it on his bracelet last night.
"Nice to meet you." She smiles at him with a poilte eye contact.
" same here. " he replied with a nod.
"Please come in. I want to make up for my earlier behaviour." He knew she was upset for what happened in the house.
"No thanks. I think i should leave for home." She looked here and there , clearly not comfortable to become his guest once again.
Uma gave an understanding look and said "come i will drop you to your home. You wont be familiar with these roads."
Kanak silently thought about his offer. She wanted to deny the offer but somewhere she knew he was right. If she try to pull down one more bravery act . God knows when she will reach home!
She checked on road for any transport vehicle around . when she found none, she turned back to him and whispered okay.
"You be here, i will get the car" he left her standing and walked back to backside of house, where the cars are parked.
As she was standing alone. Her minds played tricks, it started to replay the events from last night where she was asking for help , the way he helped her and then how she landed in his arm.

Kanak brought back herself to reality and started to look to her right and left. She felt somone presence around. Just then air before her started to get thick and her sight got blocked with the heavy dust that mixed with wind. She shuts her eyes and started taking slow steps behind with the pressure of storm. Just when she thought she will fall with the push, the storm dies . she spots a black range rover approaching her. The encounter she did a minute back left her in shock. A second before this place turned disaster and now its calm like nothing happened? How is it possible?

The car halts before her and she sees uma shankar on driver seat.
He opens the door next to his "please come inside."
Still shocked with the incident she turns around just to confirm everything is right. Then with quick steps she reached to other side of car. She hops inside the car and shuts the door.
Uma smiled at her and got his eyes back on road ahead. He hits the accelerator and the car runs on road with a speed .
Kanak wanted to pick her belonging from her car which she left behind last night on that scary road. She requested umashankar to take her to the car first before he drops her home. Silently she prayed her car to be there at the place where she left last night.
Uma had agreed to her request and drove it to the place where he found her last night. Seconds passed into minutes and minutes turned in to hours, kanak noticed they were still in forest and the car was still moving with same speed. She stretched her arms and yawns.
" how much still time left to reach?" She looked at her and waits for answer.
Uma checked to the left through the window
" we are almost there." He said smiling at her.
Kanak nods and lays back on the seat, making herself comfortable in the ride.
The further few minutes passed in silence, they just exchange glances with eachother in every now and then.
After a tiring drive, finally they reached the spot.
" here, i found you." He says remebering the moment she was in his arm.
A clip of same too plays in her mind. She blushed when she remembers it.
" okay! Then keep driving , my car must be somewhere near." She sat straight and focusses on road.
Uma smiled at her childish enthusiasm and starts the car once again. Just few kilometres away, she spots her car. Just the way she has left it. A huge sigh of relief washed over her and she screamed her top of lungs " STOP THE CAR!"
Uma got down surpised and with knitted brow he hits the break. The moment the car stops, kanak ran from her seat to her car. She opens the door, which was unlock she has forgotten to lock it. She mentally hit her hand on her head. She halfly sat inside the car and hurriedly looked for her belongings and found her purse behind the seat and all her belonging where spreaded carelessly on seat. " hey bhagwan! " she cried remebering the last night where she was searching for the power bank. She collected her belongings and stuffed it in the bag. Having one look at all direction she pulled herself outside the car. Just then the door got opened and she screamed in fear of falling, " aaah!!"
Uma had caught her in his arms before she could fall. He smiled looking at her, she had kept her eyes shut in fear. Her petite frame fit perfectly in his arms. Just like they are meants for each other.
Few seconds later kanak came back from shock , " what were you trying to do?? Make me fall!" She snarl in anger, trying to get up and stand straight.
Uma helped her to stand and smiled at her . she looks cute even when she is angry.he complimented her silently.
" i was trying to help you." He answered and smiled.
She looked at him and twisted her face on one side. "Hmph!!!"
Uma chuckled at her cuteness and wondered how many shades she have to her personality. She is adorable and he just wanted to admire her like this.
"Excuse me!" He heard her voice. He looked at her and shift on other side. Kanak felt proud of herself for putting the blame on him and sheepishly smiled. She walked past him to reach his car which is now parked safely on other side of road.
Kanak turned her head left and then right as she crossed the road. Just when she is about to reach the door. She found Uma screaming her name on top of his voice "KANAK!!!!"
She turned a little to see ,when a truck passed by her with tremendous speed at Hardly few inches distance.
Uma came running to her and holds her by het arm.
"Ka...kanak...are you okay?" He asked worried as he checked her for any injury.
" are you hurt?" He asked again concern.
Kanak admires him, he was so conern about her. The fear in his eyes made her ask himself. Is he the same person she met this morning? Whom people fear off?
"I..i am okay." She said softly with an assuring smile.
Uma tilted his head a little and shuts his eyes. Taking a deep breathe he opens his eyes . he has gained control of himself.
"Its going to get dark. Let me drop you home before it gets very late." He said and turned towards his car. He quickly occupied his driver seat and waited till she could get settle in her seat. Soon the seat buckled sound followed and the car hit the road.
