@anjana...indeed US will be wrong if he let palomi on...but we still don't have that information...I do believe Massi and suman have given hopes to palomi...I believed that US didn't know why he had to purchase the ring for Massi ...

I have no issues with siblings or parents doing one's personal errands and chores like Saraswati getting bathwater for US. A sharanarthi, however, is someone you are sheltering in your home. They are therefore a guest not a maid. They can help with household aka kitchen chores, etc. if they want. However, a guest doing chores of a member of the opposite sex when both are adult like unpacking luggage, setting bath, drying your flowers, etc is not appropriate. It sends the wrong signal. Yes. Suman was there with Palomi and US' luggage...but, if he had set appropriate boundaries then that would not have happened. His room would have been off bounds to her. He didn't set those boundaries - that in itself speaks.

How much I loved this long awaited conversation...it leaves me with a bad taste...cause Kanak isn't genuine interested in making this relationship work..she has only shop and bhabo in mind...her hidden agenda...

I seriously hope she won't ask for the papers...but then again it will be better to get the paper and the shop out off the way...

Hey there Shali.
Yes exactly when one would topple other would be there to hold. They both are going to be strength of each other and weakness too.
Kanak did not lie today. She told him the truth. But it's was just incomplete.

I think it's easy too say he didn't know. Am not so sure. if Maasi was cognizant of Palomi's feelings I find it hard to swallow that US didn't have any inkling. She is the only "parayii" woman is living in his household. Most men would be cautious and careful about interactions with this individual. If he clear from the start (pre-Kanak) that he was not interested in Palomi then I don't think she would have harboured all these hopes. Even now she is of marriageable age - an adult. Why has he not reflected on her future? Surely if his her pseudo guardian then he needs to do so.

As for preferring Kanak's truth to Palomi's.- there was a better way to have handled the situation. A more respectful way without making it a contest. Again if someone is in your "care" then be careful. Don't ill treat them or disrespect them.

That said - I reiterate he is least culpable about Palomi's plight. And I didn't appreciate Palomi's thinking that she is worse off then Payal. Palomi needs to grow up and move beyond her obsession for a man who is not interested in her and has made that clear.

Can a woman develop feelings for a man who does not have the same feelings for her, or is unaware of her feelings for him?

Yes...it happens all the time...😆...women are in general more emotional and sentimental creatures...and can cover their tracks pretty well when they want to.

Looking from Palomi's point of view...Uma is handsome, well-off, respected, honest, and of high morals and principles. Plus, we don't know how long ago, but he gave her refuge and thus became her savior...so...it is not difficult to see why she fell in love with him.

Over time Palomi became like a member of the family as far as the women of the household were concerned...and so she was trusted more and more with responsibilities. She probably took them on happily because of her own desire of become a permanent part of Uma's family. Her biggest mistake was not letting him know of her feelings. But then again...I don't know how she could have without offending him as he is strictly against the mingling of men and women. He doesn't even accept female patients so he won't have to touch them.

I know Uma's sister and Maasi knew of Palomi's feeling for him, but I don't think he was aware or ever led Palomi on. He has given refuge to her in his home, but always keeps his distance. He never even touches her. When he helped the women off the bus and it was Palomi's turn, he backed away. He would have done that even if he had not been married.

Uma was waiting for some sign from God before he chose his life partner and for him all signs pointed to Kanak.

I agree with you that Palomi needs to grow up...big time. ...I mean I know it is hard...but move on already...even if she wins back his trust...he is still taken...😳.

And here is why Payal is worse off than Palomi...that at least Palomi can taker her experience as one of those heartbreaks life throws at you and move on. Payal is stuck in a marriage to a photograph! Her own parents...rather than standing by her...let this happen! She is a young girl...everything between the newlyweds Uma and Kanak is happening right before her eyes...and it is of little consolation that the only thing she has to share her life with is a photo on a wall. And what if it is found out that Aditya is dead...she will be forced to live on as his widow! Give me a break! The fact that she put the pillows back after Palomi left gave me some hope that she will eventually find the will to get out of this farce of a marriage...hopefully with Ved and Kanak's help.

Anjana most men are blind...just plain blind...you can dance naked in front off them...they won't notice...cause they are not attracted...so I stand by US...till I have seen different...
Palomi should have guarded her own boundaries too...I don't think US is aware her entering his room...there has been a distance in the way he treats her...

@blue

No she didn't lie agreed...but her intentions are not right...and that's not right...

I do wonder what will happen Monday...cause she is wearing a victory smile...but it disappeared when he pushed her in to a room...

No no...most men are not that blind 😆..but then again...most men are not like Uma where he is so strict in guarding himself from the opposite sex because of his religious beliefs.

If you are talking about Uma and Kanak, I don't think Uma pushed her into the room...I think she stopped because he was taking her to the room where he keeps his documents and she got excited and started walking ahead of him. It seemed to me she caught herself doing this and stopped because he has told her that a husband leads and the wife must follow.

I have hope for Payal...partly because the CVs seemed to have paired her off with Ved 😆 and partly from the fact that she ran away from the wedding mandap before Uma talked her into going back.

She is trying to adjust into Uma's household, but she is clearly unhappy...all she needs is a little support and she'll find her way out of this mess.

If Kanak can make Uma see the light in the circumstances of their own forced marriage...I'm sure she will prove instrumental in showing him how Payal has been wronged too.

Again great discussion guys

I loved today's epi...
Maasi sa ki double meaning baatein
If the mahurat was for pooja why the need to make bed more majboot and that gift
Anyone will think she is talking about sr
And when uma was talking about mahurat kanak again thought he is talking about sr
I just couldn't stop laughing 😆

I liked the scene but kanaks dream played such a spoilsport man her dreams are khatarnak 😆

Did she felt bad seeing uma sad?
I loved the terrace convo... The thehraav
I always wanted to see them talk
And finally she did
All her points were valid
Uma though forced her into marriage but he ain't that bad... he did give her space and time even in Kerala... Cant wait for Monday

Felt so bad for payal... But palomi comparing her situation with payal was so wrong
Palomi ain't forced into a marriage with some photo..

Also want to know will uma drink that milk 😆

BTW also want to know when that scene will come where uma is angry and suman calls him for kanaks first rasoi that seg came weeks ago
And today saw another seg where masisa punished kanak (that might be her dream as well)
(Off screen they all were laughing)

That oil slip scene is pretty well described by you. To be honest your interpretation was equally beautiful as the episode.
I enjoyed the Episode fully after long time.
You saw something deeper which is actually rare. You are truely a very creative person.
