I don't think he looks demonic 😆, however, I completely agree...I don't see the need for using lens to hide his natural eye color. I mean...can't people from that region have light eyes?

I dont think the lenses suit him at all. His eyes are way too black!

Indian dramas always awkwardly promote products in the drama. Maybe he can advertise contact lenses and BAM suddenly has his natural eyes for the entire show.

I consider it more eerie than striking. His green/blue eyes would have beautifully illuminated a demonic side to him as well. But with black, you can hardly see any emotion because the pupil is the same colour as well. I personally feel that he would express his emotions much better if I could differentiate between his pupil and eye colour.

But I feel these black eyes go much better with his character. His natural eyes would might have made him look more as a supermodel and less as a man of God. Yes, this is just a stereotype, but I think the makers just didn't want to break this one and played along with what the general audience may think that a man like Uma would look like in real life.

That is a fair perspective. However, I feel that the creatives could have opted for brown lenses instead. Black is unnatural and not realistic to have. You can have very dark brown eyes but his contacts are point clear black as night. Even a man of God should have the right to display his pupils at the very least haha. Usually people would purchase black contacts for their Halloween costumes, not to play a stereotype of a religious figure. I agree with your opinion, though I still reaffirm that 'brown lenses' would have been more suitable. 😊
