Hey there all the lovely people.
Me is back. Hungover from weekend 😆
Here is my babbling post on the episode today.
The episode today was drastically simple yet in that simplicity there was this sweetness that is rarely created.
Kanak locks herself in the bathroom, and Uma Shankar wants to talk to her about what the pandit said. She talks to herself "kabhi bhagwan kabhi pandit koi bhi iske kaan me phook mar k chala jata hai" was hilarious and it actually looked realistic babbling of an annoyed girl. Uma Shankar asks her ain't she tired of doing so much today... but there is a power outage and he stops. Kanak is dead scared and reminiscing how her brothers sacred her and how simple memories are valued.
Uma Shankar brings the light into their little world. Her lantern - yes she sees it from the crack in the door. She is relieved as the light pours into the darkness. Uma Shankar sit out side the door and they just sit quietly glowing in the yellow flicker. They doze off sitting awkwardly.. point here is that Uma is one guy who won't leave his wife's side even if she is in the bathroom upset.
Kanak falls into the tub while sleep and it makes quite a splash. Uma Shankar wakes up and ask what happened, he is concerned so he peeks inside and instructs her how to come out of the tub. Kanak manages to pull herself out and Uma Shankar hurriedly grabs a towel and pushes it from the crack in the window. They play push n push with it. Both of them insistent and equally stubborn. Kanak takes his kurta and changes into it. It might signify no matter how dark and cold A situation Kanak might find herself in she would always find solace with Uma Shankar one way or the other.
In the morning lantern love continues. He asks her to be ready for the pooja and to not be scared as he is leaving. She comes out and holds the lantern. She jibes at Uma Shankar that he was so concerned about water conservation and now left the lantern burning. Her mind is occupied by his thoughts. Whether he is present or omnipresent. He looks on to her smiling holding the lantern, the little thing bringing immense joy on her face. He is happy to see her happy. She spots him and realizes her state of dress and he averted his eyes and left and smiled. Kanak vows to find the papers and even settle Uma Shankar's mind.
Culture norm and values are two edged sword. One step in the wrong direction sets off a cacophony of undesirable consequences. What is right is wrong for another, it's the way this world works. But to build an understanding of adjusting and compromise from both ends lead to a merry life. No life is without its endless drama or worries but it can be lessened to quite an extent if the respect towards another person is of same level you want for yourself.
Kanak came down in her clothes the way she likes to dress up. The looks people gave her made her look at herself. Wondering did she grew another pair of feet. Her dress was is no way inappropriate yet it wasn't up to the occasion. Kanak could have been a bit considerate about the surroundings but it isn't her fault, she doesn't know anything about her surroundings. Same goes for the char log theory "she doesn't know how things work here" so instead of taunting and commenting and making faces help the girl and find a middle way out.
Precap - Uma Shankar says a married woman needs to have grace and maryada. Dude you put her in this situation and want everything to go your way...
P. S- somebody explain massi maa interest in first night.
