Shah Rukh pays tribute to 5 Bollywood legends in 'Rab Ne…' |
Spicezee Bureau Mumbai, June 12: It seems that the yesteryear stars have turned out to be a lucky mascot for the Shah Rukh Khan. After, the super success of 'Om Shanti Om', based on the superhit 1980s Karz, the star pays tribute to five yesteryear legends in an 11-minute song in his upcoming – 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'. Yash Raj Films' new 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi', will feature SRK in a song and dance number paying tribute to Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, Shammi Kapoor, Rajesh Khanna and Rishi Kapoor. Salim-Suleiman and Jaideep Sahni, with Sonu Nigam doing the playback, have composed the 11-minute song. Debutant Anushka Sharma is to star opposite Shah Rukh in the Aditya Chopra film. Earlier, in Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om, SRK had parodied the legendary superstars like Jeetendra, Sunil Dutt and Manoj Kumar. In the technically maneuvered song 'Dhoom Tana', Deepika Padukone had the real Bollywood legends dancing with her. The experiment met with unprecedented success. Perhaps, this induced Aditya Chopra to spice up his film with a song that is surely to appeal the cine goers. And with none other than the super energetic SRK parodying the legendary stars, the song would certainly attract attention, but hope not for the wrong reasons. May be that tiff between SRK and Manoj Kumar (Manoj Kumar had taken offence at his portrayal in OSO) would stop the star from going overboard and limiting himself to a sugary-sweet tribute. What say, King Khan? |
