Shame on Pritam for copying tunes and shamelessly present them as his own. Just imagine the reaction of original composers when they hear "Pritam's" songs.

I never even know about this. I can't believe anyone would copy shamelessly off of others like that, especially in big name industries. Shame on him!!

Why haven't any of the original composers heard his songs? Can't he get sued for ripping off other songs?

but then again what do u have to say about western music composers, producers etc etc sampling indian/hindi songs??? If truth hurts addictive wasnt as popular as it was would saregama found out that they sampled the song without permission or would they still have sued dre if the song didnt make as much money as it did?? 4get western did punjabi MC get permission to sample da song cham cham nachdi phira sung by asha bhosle & alaap in his song blackstabbers?? did ginuwine get permission to sample the hindi song in his latest track called baby???

every1 does it, dey're inspired or dey sample whatever i guess to them as long as dey dun get caught dey'll do it or as long as they can get away with it??

I agree that many of Pritam's tunes have been an inspiration from someone else's compositions and I'm not sure if the original music director's are aware that their songs have been made into Hindi melodies (I'm sure many of them are, though) however, if I remember correctly from a course I took, it's not possible for Pritam to be sued based on copywright issues or anything because as long as at least one note or something else (lyrics, etc.) is changed, the copywright does not take effect.

I'm pretty sure that's what we were told by the music instructor... hopefully my recollection is not incorrect!
