Hey everyone I'm back with an update!
Thanks for all your support you guys lol I really appreciate it 😊 ❤️
Previously, Saagar found out Divya was pregnant. From his reaction he seemed happy about it. At least for now.. here's the next part.
Saagar made breakfast for Divya while she went and took a shower. After coming out of the shower she comes to the the table and seats herself on the barstool to drink Saagar's hand-made chai. While drinking,
Saagar: So what should we name the baby?
Divya (who almost chokes on her coffee): lol What?
Saagar: The baby, what should we name it. I say if its a boy we can name it Rajdeep. If it's a girl, we can name her... uhm.... *thinks about it*
Divya (seems a bit uneasy): Uhm you know, it's only been like a few days. *looks up to Saagar questionably* I think I should get the gynaec to check me so we can be 100% sure.
Saagar (thinks and then after a while): Okay. That sounds good.
Divya: Do you wanna go after breakfast?
Saagar: Sure. *puts his mug in the sink* I'm done. I'll go get changed.
Divya sips the rest of her coffee and eats a bit of a muffin. She's most certain that she's gonna have a baby, but those tests aren't always 100% accurate, right, she thinks.
After having breakfast Divya and Saagar head over to the doctors to get a checkup done. They arrive at the clinic and see lotsa people sitting around, some sneezing, some coughing, and a few who dozed off. They both walked to the front desk, Divya in the front followed by Saagar.
Divya: Hi, I'd like to meet my doctor Dr. Pandher.
Receptionist: Sure, can I get your health card please?
Divya: Yep. *searches her wallet for her card* (she can't find it) *then turns to Saagar and stares at him*
Saagar (notices her staring at him): What.
Divya: I think you have my card.
Saagar (immediately takes out his wallet): I do? *looks for it* When did that happen.. *finds it finally*
Saagar places the card on the counter and the receptionist takes it. "How come I had your card?" Saagar asks Divya, putting his wallet back into his pocket. Divya looks confused too, "I have noo idea lol."
Receptionist: Ok so Dr. Pandher is inside with a patient right now, if you could take a seat she'll be with you soon.
Divya: Sure no problem.
Saagar and Divya take a seat where there were two chairs available right beside each other. Theres a little table in the middle and a stack of magazines is there. Some people are reading some of the magazines, while others are watching the movie being played on the screen in the top corner of the room. Saagar stretches forth and grabs a magazine titled "Parenting Early Years." He flips it open and begins scanning through it; most of the things are what the moms need to know but then he comes to an article called "Parenting at 20, 30, and 40." He skims through to the part that talks about moms aged 25 and 29 and sees a part that says that moms at this age might be worried about their body and the fact that it will change during pregnancy. He reads the rest out of curiousity and then slowly turns to Divya who is doing something on her phone. He taps her on her shoulder to get her attention and she turns her head towards him.
Saagar: You know, you don't have to worry about your weight alot. That's normal during pregnancy and every mom goes through it. And it's not like you're gonna stay like that forever. *smile*
Divya (confused): lol Whaat?
Saagar (shifts himself): Okay I'm just saying... that in this article it says that moms aged 25 to 29 usually worry alot about how their body shape is going to change during pregnancy and you know.. all that emotional sutff. But I just want you to know that I don't care if you get fat - *Divya's face turns worry-like* - well no I don't mean fat, but you know.. I just want to let you know that I will love you no matter what. Even if you turn out to be like this after nine months. *points to picture of a lady in the magazine*
Divya (laughs after looking at the magazine): Honey, that lady's having twins.
Saagar: Sooo? We could be having twins too you know..
Divya: lol Well... *knows that it is a probability* we'll see. *warm smile*
After about a few minutes the nurse calls Divya and Saagar inside. She leads them to a room seperated by a room, followed by another room where the doctor talks with the patients. She's a female doctor by the way. The nurse (who is like an aunty for the both of them) takes Saagar aside to the "Information Desk" and shows him some books and brochures he should read to know more about pregnancy. There was a seperate section for fathers.
Receptionist: ... So this book right here *brings the book and flips through it* is actually gonna be useful during the latter portion of the pregnancy but it has a little about the first two trimesters as well. *gives it to Saagar to keep it* You can take this with you. *Saagar takes the book and starts skimming through it* ... This your first child?
Saagar: *smiles* Yeah..
Receptionist: Congrats.. *Saagar says thanks* When did you guys get married?
Saagar: *Looks up to the receptionist and hesitates a bit and then softens* Actually.. we're not married.
Receptionist (seems a bit surprised but seems okay with it): Ohh.. *tries to make it not such a big deal* That's arryt. *Saagar looks up to her and smiles.* Actually, please don't take me the wrong way, but would you mind if I gave you some advice?
Saagar (begins paying a bit more attention, closes the magazine): Sure, go on.
Receptionist: I'm very happy for the both of you, and I'm sure you'll make wonderful parents. But in the midst of all this, you must remember to keep the mother happy as well. Myself being a mother of two children would know. And this is not just because she's a young mom, but because she's a woman as well. *Saagar begins to think a bit* Har aurat ka sapna hota hai ke ek din uska bhi ghar ho, parivaar ho, ek pati ho jo uska dekhbhaal kar sakey. Marriage makes a woman complete. *The receptionist seems to have been lost in her own talks that she didn't think to realise how Saagar would take all this* I mean.. I don't mean to lecture you, please..
Saagar: No no, I fully understand.
Receptionist: And then, being a mother before getting married isn't wrong, I personally think. But on one hand, we women must consider what the eyes of other people tell us. And as a mother I wouldn't want any other woman to go through that agony. *After a long pause* Trust me, I've been through it.
Saagar: *Looks very serious at this point* *Suddenly, the other door opens and Divya walks out saying bye to the doctor and begins walking towards Saagar as he stands there and looks at her, considering what the lady just told him*
Divya (now beside him, entwines her hand with his): Shall we go? *warm smile*
Saagar (at a loss of words): Sure. *looks at the receptionist remembering what she just said and saw what she really meant by the look in her eyes, and then walked out*
The drive home was a quiet one even though the radio was on. Saagar had a million questions running through his mind. Was the lady right about all of this? Should they think about getting married? How is that going to affect their relationship? Would Divya be ready for this?
Was he ready?
They both got home and just spend time here and there doing things. Saagar was totally lost in whatever he did, he even drove Divya and himself to the wrong place for lunch, but still the place was okay. It was about evening-ish and both Divya and Saagar had ate and were just sitting on the couch watching a movie. Divya sat hugging Saagar.
Saagar: So when did the doctor say she'd let us know?
Divya (adjusting the volume): She said in a week I think, she'll call to let us know. And then we have to go back to the office.
Saagar (pondering): I see. *They both sat there, watching the movie; Saagar caressed her head softly and still sat there thinking.*

For that whole week, Saagar was in deep thought. Wherever he went, he could only think about one thing: what that lady had told him. And the same questions kept bugging him.
Finally, almost a week later their visit to the doctor Saagar had made up his mind.
He bought the wedding ring. <http://www.budgetdiamondsonline.com/products_pictures/25/225/1.jpg>
He decided to propose to her the next night on a special dinner.
And the most important thing. He didn't want Divya to feel he was just marrying her becaue of the baby. He wanted to let her know that he loved her no matter what the circumstances.
Finally, the doctor called and Saagar and Divya went to her office. They were both seated in the seperate room and Saagar closed the door behind him.
Doctor: So, how has the happy couple been?
Divya (blushing): Good lol. *Saagar gives her a warm smile*
Doctor (sorts out her files): So Divya, any morning sickness this past week?
Divya: Um, not really actually. Suprisingly.
Doctor: Mmhmm. *Opens Divya's file* Okay so, the results were in yesterday but they came in late so I called you guys today. And I don't know how you guys will react to this, *both Saagar and Divya look at the doctor seriously* but the test results were negative. *Long pause, the doctor stares at the both of them* Divya you're not pregnant.
Divya (herself doesn't know how to take this): Oh.
Saagar (sees Divya's face and notices the glow from her face is now gone): Are you sure?
Doctor: I'm hundred percent sure. I'm just curious about the tests you took yourself Divya. How accurate do you think they were?
Divya (hesitantly): Um, I'm not too sure doctor, I took them for the first time.
Doctor: Okay, that's arryt. *hands them a copy of the report* So you guys keep this, and if anything comes up again then please do not hesistate to come to our office. We'd be glad to serve you guys again.
Divya and Saagar stand up to leave and the doctor walks them out. "Take care of yourself Divya," the doctor said. Saagar held Divya's hand as they walked to the car to comfort her.
Saagar thought about his plan and how well it would fit in the current circumstances. Was it right to move on? They both entered the appartment and Saagar could tell the somewhat sad look on Divya's face as she walked herself to the balcony and stood there pondering. Saagar came behind her comforting and hugged her softly, and Divya slowly retreated and hugged him back, crying in his arms.
The next day...
Divya woke up like it was another normal day and Saagar noticed that she seemed a bit less upset, which to him was a good thing. Tonight was the night he'd propose to her.
That evening, Saagar told Divya he had to meet some business consultants in the evening and thus had to leave early, so Divya should come home with Sameer. But that was just an excuse to get time to set everything up for the night.
Sameer dropped Divya off and saw her to the elevator, and Divya made her way down the lobby to their apartment. She put the keys in the keyhole and turned the knob to a room full of darkness except for a table set up in the balcony with dinner ready to be served and candles lit all around the appartment. Slowly, Saagar creeped out from outside and had this nice smile on his face, welcoming Divya to dinner. "How sweet," Divya thought. She dropped her bag on the sofa and walked to where the dinner table was and stood there smiling, thinking there was some mischief of Saagar's in this.
Saagar (gesturing to the table): Welcome Ms. Divya Raj Sarin. *Divya giggled while Saagar pulled out her chair for her and she sat down* As you can see, today in the menu we've got some aloo mutton with naan and garden salad as a side dish, together with some delicious pasta with some alfredo cheese on top. We've also got some butter chicken since it is one of your favourites and of course, some chinese noddles.
Divya (laughs at how cute he is): Saagarrr...? *Saagar seats himself* You didn't have to do all this.
Saagar: But I wanted to. And I know you deserve it. *soft smile, Divya stares at him intently* Come'on, let's eat!
The next few moments simply show their interaction and the fact that Divya appreciates all of this from the bottom of her heart. Suddenly, a fierce wind blows the candles sitting on thier table (only means of light) out.
Divya: Oh no..!
Saagar (takes care of the situation): That's okay, I'll go turn the lights on inside. *Gets up and goes inside*
Divya sits calmy waiting for him to turn the lights on, but it's been quite a while and they still aren't on. And there's no sight of Saagar either. So she decides to go inside and see where he is. "Saagar?" she says, walking around. Suddenly a tiny candly appears in front of her and she sees Saagar's face. Kinda startles her as well. "Woah..! Don't you ever do that again Saagar what if I tripped on you and the candle - " she is interrupted by the box presented in front of her in the little light. It's the ring box. She loses her speech. She doesn't know how to react. Slowly, Saagar moves his face closer to hers and places a kiss on her cheek.
Saagar (after a few seconds): *soft smile* Will you marry me?
Divya has no reaction for a minute, but then she slowly puts her arms around Saagar and hugs him tightly.... and slowly whispers "I thought you'd never ask...."
The song Mera Dil from Salaam-e-Ishq begins to play.. shows clips from Saagar and Divya's honeymoon and the time they spent together apart from that.
