I can't believe Ekta (or whoever is answering those questions) is actually trying to justify the obvious flaws in K-serials. I applaud the person that came up with the questions, because they are exactly what a huge chunk of the viewers are wondering.

This quote really bugs me: "We don't make these serials for working women! Eighty percent of our audience consists of women who stay at home and have similar if not identical lives."

So eighty percent of the audience may be women who stay at home, but what about the other twenty percent? Why are all of Ekta's soaps made for the masses? She could try making atleast one soap that revolves around a woman's personal AND professional life. I hate how K-soap heroines don't have a career or a life outside of their respective spouses, in-laws and family members.

Anyways, thanks for posting the article! 😊

i dont know why but i agree with person who is answering the questions. This is true that a womens professional life should be shown but will audence like it. Sanjivani was my fav. serial because it showed professional life but then at the end it became a family drama. Now dil milgaye is showing professional life but only in the favour of a love story(at least not a family drama). I have always liked kzk because it was a lovestory and yeah there was a time when prerna became professional but i storngly belive that she should have continued.

For people like us we like professional lives but other people dont. i cant sit and watch serials like betiyann, maayka, naagin and al those zee serials because all they show is that a women goes down but so many do like(which includes my grand mom).
