Yes, NV=Non Veg 😊. Yeah many known people around, they believe in God... but yes certain God can take a partial soft corner.😊

See even the English have Fish only and no meat on Fridays......... that is how they followed the regime. Its Fry-Day so the tradition was to eat Fish and chips only on Fridays. Even now mostly its Fish and Chips day on Fridays......... but changing with times.😊 See what I mean? Its not just us Indians who have or had traditions.

Nice to know, to be honest I wasn't aware of it. Guess fishes have party on friday's and forget to pray for thier lives...😊 (I should n't be 😆😆)Thanks for Info!

Raj you made a very valid point in that perhaps some customs and traditions were geared to certain time period and era.

Thank You for initiating the thought!😳

The dangerous ones are those customs that harm people and cause prejudice...

There are a few temples where people of a lower caste are not allowed to enter... Some temples where non Hindus are not allowed to enter... I dont get the logic behind either of them

Non Hindus are not belive in Idol worship and they belive in OneGod either Christ or Allah. In that case is it necessary to enter the temple. In Hinduism Certain customs are there for example seven days in a month women are not permitted to enter the temple, but it is not in the case of Christians(Catholics), they can go to church on these days, Before entering temple bath is a must for Hindus, but it is not necessary for Christians(Based on informations from my friends)

Most cases the well being of husband and children.

I agree on fasting, no problems Nitaji, infact have heard (cousing bro) reverse trend of men too fasting on Karva Chauth...kinna of not eating since wify is hungry... What I was saying was why pick days since each in week is devoted to a holy God, then Non Veg Khana yaa nahi shouldn't be dependant, but after reading views, realized some days are more holy for some...so adjustments are made 😊 am okay. And 👏 for all doing good deeds for family's interest.😊

every god is picky ok.😊. ... and each day is ruled by certain God.... so they do that to appease him/her.. whats wrong?????

No God likes meat - only rakshas eat meat.. so you dont eat meat on those days.. also by fasting you are trying to invoke the God's compassion.. .thats as far as I can think.....

Any puja of Shakti, e.g. Kali, Chandi, etc. involves sacrificing an animal, usually goat. It's ok if you're a vegetarian, but please check facts before making such remarks. Eating or not eating meat doesn't make anyone god or godly.

Some food can effect the mood of persons for example eating chocolate enhance the happy mood likewise eating chilly, onion etc enhance hot tempered nature. Eating less spicy and food make people gentle. and people eating vegetable are more healthy and gentle. Eating meat which is a secondary product in an eccosystem make a person less healthy and shows/enhance the nature of predator in man. (based on articles in different magazines)

Pardon my ignorance, but does any vedas or scriptures mention animal sacrifice to be done in order to worship god/goddess? I thought the practice of animal sacrifice was picked up as a tradition or custom. I could be wrong as I am not a religious scholar.

Dada ..why are you roaring like Royal bengal tiger😛

@ Tiger Souro dada: Agree! Even the rig vedic times and vedic traditions,puja...have MEAT prasad to GOD's.....Is'nt the procedure called BALI....fortunately or unfortunately....GODS are non vegetarian....

I donot exactly know from which point..the vegetarian concept of GOD occured....vedic times..all the offerings of animals was there.....

I think ...not sure....As the man developed.....as he became more civilized...as he learnt growing crops.....as he learnt.....farming ..he learnt proper utilization of the resources in nature.....the VEGETARIAN CONCEPT EVOLVED....I wonder if people in old stone age....were vegetarians😛

coming back to Raj ji's question of no NV days of a week.....it just shows that HUMANS somewhere feel in the mind /heart that ..eating NV is not a good thing..its a rakshasa nature...rakshasa...means not divine....so we humans want to understand Daiva (godly ) matters..once in a while...so then ..they want to do only divine things on those days...so some donot eat non veg on those days...

But...

Sunday is for Sun GOD(Surya)

Monday is for Shiva

Tuesday is for Hanuman

Wednesday is for Saraswathi/Ganesh

Thursday is Saibababa

Friday is for Lakshmi

Saturday is for Vishnu/Balaji.....

So which day should we skip..which GOD is less😛

***************************

These just show...some traditions are for our convinience😆
