Rani Mukherjee and Abhishek Bachchan resume filming Laga Chunari Mein Daag

Abhishek's marriage to Aishwarya and the inexplicable exclusion of Rani Mukherjee, who is known to enjoy a good equation with Amitabh Bachchan, from the wedding guest list hasn't generated any rancor on the sets of Laga Chunari Mein Daag.
25 June 2007 (Sawf News) - Abhishek's marriage to Aishwarya and the inexplicable exclusion of Rani Mukherjee, who is known to enjoy a good equation with Amitabh Bachchan, from the wedding guest list hasn't generated any rancor on the sets of Laga Chunari Mein Daag.
Prior to the announcement of Abhishek's wedding with Aishwarya on January 14, 2007, there were always guessestimates that he would choose his life partner from among two of the top stars of Bollywood – Aishwarya and Rani Mukherjee.
Bollywood gossips suggested Rani would win the stakes because of her Bengali background which would go down well with her Bengali mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan, who would also see Aishwarya as a threat to her position in the family.
But all this was proven to be just gossip when the engagement of Abhishek and Aishwarya was announced on the auspicious day of Sankranti on 14th January 2007.
The wedding followed on April 20.
Rani, who has done four films with Abhishek, was not invited to the wedding and gossips suggested she was really miffed because she considered herself close to the family, especially Big B, after she shared screen space with him in Black, Babul and KANK.
Consequently, it was expected a cold war would break out between Rani and Abhishek when shooting for Laga Chunari Mein Daag resumed. However, nothing of the sort happened.
According to Bombay Times work on the sets of the Pradeep Sarkar film has restarted without any hitch!
"Abhishek has not changed. He is still the prankster filled with masti," says a source from the unit.
Any resentment that Rani may have harbored seems to have melted away and she is ready to have fun on the sets where the atmosphere is like at a carnival. Marriage has not made Abhishek less bratty and Rani and he are relaxed and happy working together!
