How will you define beauty? Is there really a true definition?
This is not a superficial one.. According to me, if you are beautiful, then your heart should be beautiful for that.. If you are not beautiful in your mind and from within, then you cannot be seen to be beautiful. Your thoughts have to be clean and pure, and the beauty should penetrate from within…
You are considered as one of the 'beautiful' women on the screen. How does that make you feel? Do you have a certain rapport or reputation you must live up to?

I don't like makeup at all. I always see to it that I have just a base on my face while shooting. I do not use heavy makeup. I like to be absolutely simple and let my face, eyes and work talk. I do not like to paint my face with loads of makeup and get applauded for it.

Your character's name is Kaajjal. How does makeup, or in this case, kaajjal add to beauty? Do you believe it enhances it or only takes away its naturality?
Your character is also known for wearing very pretty salwar kameez. How does clothing affect the beauty of a person? Is it all in the face or total appearance as well?
Oh yes, it is the total appearance that matters at the end of the day. I do not like to wear bright and gaudy dresses. When I am to attend a personal function, I would like to deck up. But onscreen, I want to be simple and realistic. I do not like to wear over the top clothes, I would rather prefer to wear clothes based on the mood in the scene. For example, when I am doing a crying scene, I would love to be simple and sobre and not look grand sporting a gaudy dress. My designers are very nice, I do a lot of 'khit-pit' with them regarding my dressing. Most of the colour combinations that I sport in Kaajal are my ideas… But one more aspect to dressing is that, one needs to have the capability of carrying it onscreen, no matter what dress the person is wearing..
