Scene 1 – NK & Co, Siva Leaves to Chennai

Siva is packing his bag, & revathy comes and asks him where he is going. Siva gets very irritated & shouts at her saying don't you know you should not ask where a person is going. Revathy then says oh ok, then can you tell me when you will come back. Siva snaps right back & says I have not left yet , & you are asking about coming back. Then siva yells saying that did you not hear me when I told your dad yesterday that I have to join work. Then Siva goes to meet sivagamy & lets her know that he wants to go back to chennai or else he will loose his job. Then the entire gang assemble in front of NK in the Koodam, & they discuss whether Revathy should join siva or not. Siva says he cannot take her with him right now as he is staying in his boss's guest house. Moorhty says that he can stay at his friends place, as his friend has gone to Singapore and it will take him 6 months atleast to come back. Siva is so shocked & his little head is frantically scheming & finally he comes up with the excuse that the place he works is far away from where this house is, & since revathy might have to stay alone for longer it is better she stays here. Everyone agrees, NK then asks what is Revathy's opinion, Revathy says she will stay back in nachiyarpuram. Siva escapes again. Before leaving he gives Revathy his address, & Revathy asks " IS This A REAl Address" siva is shocked & nods his head

Scene 2 – Ramesh, Satish, & Kadhir

Ramesh comes to nachiyarpuram and calls vidya & asks where they can meet. Vidya says they can meet at the sivan koil. AS ramesh is speaking to vidya, one of Satish's friend recognizes Ramesh, & informs satish. Satish now plots & asks his friend to guide Ramesh to the tea shop and get his friends ready in an open ground, & he will bring Ramesh there from the tea shop & they can beat him up pretty bad that he will not be able to sit up for the wedding, so there wont be a wedding. Ramesh asks S's friend the direction to Kadhir's house(regarding the loan). S's friend directs him to the Tea Shop, where satish offers to take him to Kadhir's house , & in between says he has a small errand to run so is it ok if he will drop ramesh once that is done,as it will only take 2 minutes. Satish takes him to the open ground & just when they are about to strike ramesh, kadhir comes & thanks Satish & takes Ramesh home. At home ramesh thanks kadhir for his help & signs kadhir's document without reading it. Kadhir says Ramesh does not have to thank him, the only reason he is loaning this amount to Ramesh is because he also like ramesh, has a difference of opinion with his dad, & from then on does not see eye to eye with his dad or think much of his dad. Ramesh then invites kadhir to his wedding, & says that im sure my FIL would have invited you , but you have to come as my guest. Kadhir then says that his FIL has not invited him as they don't seem to like him. Ramesh says even so kadhir should definitely attend his wedding. Ramesh takes leave, & kadhir & his mama discuss ramehs, & kadhir says wonder what and all is going to happen at Ramehs's wedding.

Scene 3 Soori Villis & Tulsi

Saras is getting ready to take Tulsi to the doctor & sends her husband out to get an auto. Just when he leaves, sundari arrives & a close up shot is shown, she calls for saras, tulsi comes and says oh jyothi please come in I remember you came looking for my athai one day. Sundari is shocked. Tulsi informs Saras about jyothi's arrival, saras has no clue about who jyothi is, she comes and see sundari there(Thirudanukku, Scorpian kOtina maadhiri), & immediately sends tulsi to make coffee. Then saras drags sundari out & says that she & her marumagal have patched up & understood each other. Sundari tries to poison saras mind and says how come you trust your marumagal so much, maybe she might show her true colors soon..Saras says are you trying to create fued between us, Sundari says no no not like that, anyway let us go , sharadha is waiting for you. Saras says that sundari you tried to use us for your own selfish desires, how could you do that to us. Sundari yells back saying that weren't you the one who said that NK's family is not good, saras says yes I did but at that time I didn't understand my marumagal, but now it is a different story, vidya is also a nice girl & I cannot do bad things to your Anna's family as I have eaten their salt. Sundari says so what r u saying are you coming with me or not. Saras refuses to go(guess she still has unfinished business with Tulsi, don't trust her still) Sundari is fuming and says Ungalla Nambinadhukku EN thALaiya Seruppalla Adhichukanum..( hmm have a couple of extra pairs for the both of you)

Scene 1 – Saras, Tulsi & MS & Sharadha

Ramesh's dad Mohanasundaram & wife arrive at shanmugam's house to invite them for the wedding. Tulsi comes out as MS is calling Shanmugam's name. MS introduces himself to Tulsi, who is so happy,& invites them inside. She makes them sit down & goes to call saras from the backyard. Knowing it is Ramesh's parents, saras refuses to come out, Tulsi makes her understand that anyway one day they will come to know, so it is better they come to know of it now. Saras follows tulsi.

In the meantime, Saras husband comes calling for saraswathi from inside, & MS & sharadha are shocked to see him, & asks how come he is here, Shanmugams, dad says that it is their house & shanmugam is their son. Mr & MRs MS are shocked. Meanwhile Saras also comes in and covers 3 weeks worth of episode time starting from her misunderstanding with Tulsi, & ending up at sharads house. Sharadha apologies for treating saras badly at times. MS asks saras if sundari is even remotely related to them. Tulsi starts to talk, when saras mAzhupufies, and says that at first even they did not know that MS was going to become NK'S sambandhi, & basically covers for sundari.

The pathrikai exchanges hands, & tulsi(she was so sweet) speaks to MS and glorifies vidya and requests them to take care of vidya. Saras also says yes I know vidya is a good girl , im sure she will make you all proud. Sharadha says I don't want to say anything now, but after the wedding you inquire from vidya about us. Tulsi says she is confident that vidya will be happy at their place. MS takes leave, but saras commands them to eat and go. Tulsi goes in to cook, & sharadha tells saras that she has a wonderful DIL & she hopes that soon she will give birth to a healthy child. Saras says that she too wants nothing but that. MS says he hopes shanmugam does not feel bad that they had to come and invite them in his absence.

Scene 2 – Bhaskar & Moorthy

A tensed Bhaskar meets moorthy at his work & says that he doubts if vidya's wedding will take place. Moorthy says why do u say that. Bhaskar says that due to the 1 and a half lakh nAshtam , ramesh & his dad have some misunderstanding, so MS is down and out because of his son's behaviour in recent times. Moorthy says so what we can just go and talk to make mapillai understand. Bhaskar says I did go and speak to him & got snubbed, & all this is happening due to Ramesh's new friend Kadhirvelu. Moorthy is shocked & he says that swaminathan mama says that kadhirvelu must be behind the samayal karan canceling the contract, so we have to handle this, ourselves & don't say this to appa, we will some how see to it that kadhir does not show up at the wedding and create any scenes. Bhaskar is not so sure , but moorthy assures him that he will take care of kadhir, & bhaskar should make sure that NK does not come to know of this.


Scene 3 – Bro & Sis

Bhaskar tells vidya that Ramesh & his dad only had a small misunderstanding & everything is alright now. Vidya asks then why did he say that anything could happen in the future so she has to cooperate. Bhaskar says that Ramesh is a straightforward man, so that is why he said things upfront. But don't worry, on the contrary you should be very happy cause Ramesh & his entire family have so much love & affection towards you.

Scene 4 – NK & wife

NK is eating & his wife tells him about his marumagals wishes. He thinks for a second about the doctor saying that it will take 3 lakhs for treating meenakshi, and sivagamy says ,I will tell the marumagals that we cannot buy the sari now. NK says why do u say that, she says that usually you would have said yes, immediately, but since you hesitated, I thought that you don't have money. NK says I don't want to disappoint the marumagals, as this is the first time they have asked for something, so he calls bhaskar and asks him to take mallika & karpagam to the store as they need to take sari's for the wedding. Bhaskar puts in his 2 scents, but NK insists that he takes them and pays for the sari's too.

Scene 5 - MS & Sundari

MS & sharadha arrive, darshini & their younger son are watching tv. Sharadha tells MS don't go and talk to your sister immediately, but MS cuts her and asks darshini where her mother was. She says that her mom is having a headache so she is resting. MS goes upstairs to see sundari, she has a thirutu muzhi when she sees MS, MS sits next to her and says kindly that he had gone to kancheepuram to Tulsis house, Sundari is nervous and says appadiya anney. He says ammama, there I met Saras, they are Tulsi's inlaws. Sundari nervously blabbers, I know anney, I came to know of it when I went to call them from Kancheepuram for the 2nd time. MS sternly says then why did you not tell me beforehand. Screen freezes on Sundari's nervous guilty face.

Update for Fri Mar 10-2006--Stunning last part

Mohana sundaram speaks to sundari who is lying pretending headache and
enquires about her. He tells her when u came to know about saraswathi
is from sambandhi family. She said she came to know now only when she
went to K/puram to persuade Saras to come back. Now he asks her why
you did not tell me immediately. He said when he and sharada were
returning from K/puram, sharada was constantly telling that sundari
has deliberately hidden this fact from them. He tells Sundari that he
is her brother that and he is prepared to do anything for her. But the
fact is that though darshini likes Ramesh, Ramesh does not like her—so
what I can do. He further says once Ramesh's marriage is over, he will
find a suitable boy for Darshini. He then leaves and Sundari broods
and thinks what to do next.

Karpagam,Malliga,vidya escorted by Bhaskar come to the city to buy 6
similar sarees as decided earlier. They come to Ramesh's father's
shop. Karpagam looking at the shop is amazed at the size of the shop.
Bhaskar takes them in and tells a salesman to show the pattu sarees.
He tells them if they don't like the stuff here, aru sareekku aranikku
kooda pogi vangalam. Now karpagam tells in a innocent way whether the
pattu sarees are not of good quality. bhaskar gets upset and says
don't start talking like that here,otherwise I will be in trouble.
They decide on yellow colour—being mangalama irukku—and finally select
6 sarees. Now Mohana sundaram (MS) comes in and asks why vidya has not
come. Malliga says vidya thought ramesh might be in the house and so
she was feeling shy. MS looks at Bhaskar pointedly and then MS says
Ramesh has gone for some work outside and so he is not here. Now MS
gives the sarees and Bhaskar tarts to give the money. MS says he is
feeling insulted to take the money. They however tell him that NK has
specifically told them to pay the money. MS reluctantly agrees to
accept the money.
Now Karpagam looks to say something and MS asks what is it. Malliga
says akka wants to see some places in the city also in this trip
itself. MS says no problem, u can see in my car itself, I will
organize it. He tells Bhaskar to go with them. Bhaskar says he has
lots of work and so I will rather try Siva and tell him to accompany
them. He dials siva and requests him. Siva says he is very busy at
work and so can't come know. So MS tells bhaskar to accompany them.
But he tells them that he has already told Sharada that they have come
and so they all have to come to his house—sharada is waiting, he says.

Pandi,Ashok in the forest and they meet a adivasi like person and
some one else. The adivasi gives pandi a small vial like thing
containing some liquid. pandi is told that this poison is used to trap
wild elephants in the forest to kill them. Pandi gives him 3000Rs and
then tells the other guy that he should be with the cook during the
marriage and do as he tells. Pandi now tells Ashok very joyously that
idhoda kounder tholainjan and goes on repeating that again and again.

The 3 woman arrive in Sarada's house. Just before entering, Malliga
tells Revthi separately to cover up her thaali and hide it . They then
come to the hall. Darshini is sitting watching TV with the volume
high. She does not bother to reduce the volume. Sharada comes and
scolds her. Darshini just addresses her as Sharada (bit surprising)
and says she was just watching the programme. Now Sharada goes inside
and Sundari asks them why have u come to the city. Karpagam replies
they have come to select 6 identical sarees. Sundari tells in a nakkal
way that it is a good thing, you are getting free. Malliga says NK has
specifically told them to pay for the sarees.
Now Sharada comes back and tells them they must take food ,otherwise
her husband will get angry with her.She goes and shows around the
house. They come to pooja room and sharada says MS went to a temple
yesterday and gives the kunkumam to Karpagam/Malliga/Revathi. Now
Revathi keeps it on her forehead only and other two keep it on the top
as well. Now comes the biggest scene of today's episode.
Karpagam sees revathi keeping kunkum onn her forehead only and tells
her why are you not keeping it above, just like a married woman.
Malliga frantically tries to signal her but she does not catch at all.
Sharada asks her what u are talking, when revathi got married?
Karpagam is in full flow now—she asks very innocently oh,ungalukku
theriyadha and goes on and tells the whole story about Siva/Revathi
happenings on that fateful day. Malliga keeps on trying to somehow
stop karpagam but she goes on and on. Finally she says even though
this happened, now Shiva and Revathi are quite affectionate.Revathi
starts to sob but still Karpagam does not understand. Sundari is also
in the scene now and tells Sharada that what sort of a family is this,
Shiva is behaving like this and we are going to have the alliance with
these kind of people. Darshini says her bit now and says even in
Mumbai where dating is there, boy friend relationship will be within
certain limits only and not like this and to happen in a
village—shameful,she says. Now Sundari makes the usual pretence of
fainting and is escorted out by Darshini. On coming out, she is seen
smiling in a nakkal way at Darshini.
After everything is told, sharada looks stunned and Malliga now tells
her that they all will leave now. Sharada just says one word "Ponga"
and remains mum. They all troop at the hall where Sundari is sitting
and say good bye to her and leave. Sharada comes to the hall looking
absolutely stunned and sundari tries to further incite her abt the
incident.

Now we see karpagam/Malliga/revthi outside. Karpagam sobbingly tells
malliga that u have talked too much to me. Malliga says you are
deserving whatever I am telling you and now you have spoiled
everything and I don't know how the marriage will take place,she says.
She also says this is all because you are an uneducated person and you
don't know what to talk.

End of episode

Monday (03-13-06 Update)

Scene 1

Mallika is shouting at Karpagam for behaving so badly and revealing the truth about Revathi and Siva's wedding. Mallika says because of her today their house "Manam" is gone. Karpagam is crying a lot.
Ramesh's dad returns home and gives the parcel he bought for the ladies and asks where are they? Sharadha gets mad and tell they all left and starts polumbufying about NK's family and starts telling we also have a girl at home and leave her many times when ramesh is there but is this how he behaves. What a family they r? Sundari also adds her opinion to add more fire to the topic. Then Ramesh's dad asks r u mad now because they got married or they didn't tell u before the wedding. Sharadha replies both. Then he tells it is not NK's mistake but it is his mistake and NK told him the other day when he came over and I told u he had come to talk about cheeru. Sundari now to add more to this, tells if that boy has so much behind him, what all the girl will have? Sharadha gets mad at sundari and tell her to stop talking about her DIL who is a daughter to her and it is bad to talk bad about their own daughter. Sundari leaves that place and Ramesh's dad praises her for supporting her DIL and understanding the whole issue.

Scene 2

Mallika reveals what Karpagam told Ramesh's house about Siva's wedding. Karpagam is crying and saying she didn't know it was wrong. Mallika and Karpagam are fighting. Sivagami asks them to stop and tell them that their mama already told this to Ramesh's family. Mallika then continues saying if amma already told why was shradha amma shocked. She told us to leave after we told this. Karpagam continue saying that even after u told mama told them, she is not stopping to degrade me. She wants to show she is smart and intelligent. Sivagami told u all were so close and attached and now why u all r fighting as a dhristi before the wedding. NK walks in and asks what is the matter. (Sorry missed this portion as my kid was crying)

Siva comes to return the outhouse key to Amala and all ready to go for his sisters wedding. Amala is all blushing while siva is talking. She asks what type of girl r their family is looking for him. He tells they look only for simple girls as his brothers have married girls fm simple family only. She then gives him 2 gifts one cell phone for him and another gift for his sister. Siva asks why does he need this cell and she replied a GM in her company do need a cell phone and tells him that she likes him and asks his opinion. Siva is quite and she ask him to think about it and give a call later.

Scene 3

Shanmugam comes back and asks Thulasi why she is so dull. She says nothing is wrong and informs him about vidhya's in laws had come to invite them and then shanmugam asks if they came to know about the truth of his parents. Thulasi explain that they r nice people and everything is solved now.
Shanmugam shows 2 jodi of finger rings he bought. She asks why 2 Jodi's. He says one for Vidhya and one for Siva. Thulasi is happy. Saraswati walks in and asks why r they talking at the doorstep itself, and he shows the gifts. His dad asks how did he get this idea? He tells one of his friends wedding his friend had bought this gift and told his kids to give it. Saraswati then taunts him saying u thought about everything but didn't think of the kids who gave the gift and looks towards Thulasi saying, isn't it right Thulasi.

Scene 1 – Ramesh & Vidya

Ramesh Calls NK's house & asks for Vidya. Meenakshi calls for Vidya after she finds out who is calling. She tells vidya that her friend is on the line, vidya hesistates a little & takes the call. She finds out that it is Ramesh , who asks her if the MuhurthaKaal function is over. Vidya says yes, & Ramesh says how come u don't call me and inform me of such things. Vidya says there are too many people around me so I cannot call. Ramesh calls her PattikAdu, & she says ok im pattikadu, so im keeping the phone. Ramesh begs her not to keep the phone & asks her for a Ichutha, Ichutha, vidya goes oh no, what are you saying, this is not right, if you talk like this I will tell my dad. Ramesh goes adi Pavi, Vidya says please don't say DEE, Ramesh says ok you call me DAA, Vidya tells that she does not want to say DAA & he should not call her DEE. Vidya hears NK's voice & keeps the phone down. Ramesh goes vidya….This entire conversation is being heard by Darshini.

Scene 2 -Kali (Darshi) & BadraKali (Sundari)

A furious D walks to Sundari's room and screams her head off. She accuses her mom of entertaining thoughts about Ramesh in D's mind & now she cannot tolerate ramesh marrying that Pattikattu vidya. D says that she cannot be like her mom & go to the wedding like a normal person. She asks her mother to pack their bags so they can go back to Bombay. Sundari asks her not to make hasty decision. Darshini screams that she will not listen to sundari & storms out.

Next we cut to the another new entry Sundari's Nayagan (Gopi's older brother in MO). Ramesh's brother ganesh greets him & informs his that his parents are not at home. This mama says that I knew that cause I could hear Sundari & Darshini arguing at the end of this street. He also talks silly about how clever their dad is as he has given the upstairs room to his sister, so sundari can loose some weight. Upstairs sundari is still trying to convince darshini to be calm and wait for 2 days till the wedding. Darshini's dad enters and asks about what is wrong. Darshini is still high pitched & says dad we came to stop this wedding, the dad says, what ever the situation we need make sure what we benefit out of it. If we stay till the kalyanam we will get pattu veshti, etc. Darshini's shruti is on the Highest note & says if they don't want to come she will leave. D's dad says that don't accept defeat so fast, we will try to stop this wedding till the last minute, if we cannot then we will leave, after trying our best. Sundari has a smile as her nayagam has made such an intelligent statement. Darshini drops her note down

Scene 3 - Pavadai Pandi

pAvaadai pandi(I just don't get it why he is wearing his veshti like pavadai , dhavani), asks his wife valli to back their bags so they can leave town for a few days . Valli says she is very happy to hear this , cause she was afraid that he would try to spoil Vidya's wedding. Ashok arrives and is mad at Pandi for leaving town like a coward & not stopping vidya's wedding. Pandi takes him to the backyard and tells him that since they had planned to kill ramesh on the wedding day, it is better that they are not in town, so no one will be suspicious about them. Valli who comes to take the clothes from the backyard listens to this and runs inside. She then asks pandi why he is doing such things, & pandi almost strangles her and says that if she even thinks of telling anyone about this he will kill her & her child. Once pandi leaves the little child comes running to her mom.

Scene 3 – Sanda Kozhi

NK's house Mallika & revathy return home from the tailor. Sivagamy asks them where they went & revathy tells her that they had been to the tailor to give all their wedding blouses. Karpagam asks them why did they ask me I would have given my blouse too.. Mallika says we took your blouse also akka. Karpagam(superb acting) says you took my blouse which blouse. Mallika says a kathripoo color blouse. That is it, our sanda kozhi takes off on how mallika has taken a 3 year old blouse of hers, & how she will be the only person who will be wearing a blouse that does not match her sari & mallika can insult her in front of every one & tell how she is uneducated and so she does not even know to wear a matching sari blouse. One leads to another and sivagamy tells karpagam off & karpagam goes inside feeling insulted again, mallika takes her son and leave, & revathy goes to explain to karpagam , karpagam in turn tell revathy not to do anything henceforth without her permission. Mallika listens to part of the conversation between revathy & karpagam, & Oramkatufyies revathy and asks her what did karpagam say. Revathy mazhupufyies, & mallika says she knows it all & tells revathy that she should always side only mallika. Excellent expressions by each and every one them

Scene 4 – Mahakali Saraswathi

She takes the tablets that tulsi had not taken to the pharmacist & finds out that those are just vitamin tablets. A Furious S goes to the doctor & barges in when she is with a patient and abuses the doctor about being incapable. The doctor gets mad & spills the beans about how the chances of tulsi conceiving are very slim.(gee what about confidentiality) . She also says that tulsi's intention is not to cheat you , only cause she is afraid of you. S says when NK came & met them 7 yrs ago itself she got cheated, & she does not want to listen to the doctor any more. She comes out very angry & says Ennaiya yematha ninaicha.

Meedum malarum

Ramesh & Vidya's wedding reception. They are all dressed up for the reception receiving gifts & taking photos with family & friends. SK calls bhaskar to stand next to the mapillai, as he is standing alone, Ramesh curtly refuses saying that bhaskar must have a lot of things to do, so he calls his friends to be mapillai thozhan. Samayal karan comes and asks Ramesh if he needs anything.

Thulsi is anxiously waiting for Shanmugam & co to arrive, & everyone is after her asking about Ss family. Shan's friend arrives & tells thulsi that S had a last minute overtime, so he will arrive for the muhurtham. Mohanasundaram is requesting all his family members & NK's family members not to eat before he asks them to. When he is looking for moorthy & karpagam to tell this, karpagam is throwing a tantrum about wanting a matching "sAket" for sari. Mohanasundaram promises to get her a matching jacket as long as she gives him a exiting blouse for measurement.

Thulsi goes to make a call to kancheepuram, their she sees the samayalkaran, The phone booth man comments that this samayal karan keeps getting more phone calls than the kalyana party. Thulsi then calls kancheepuram, saras first picks up the phone & cuts the phone. Then Thulsi calls again, & this saras has the nerve to say Ennamma tulsi, I said hello & you cut the phone. Thulsi pavam asks her if they have started for the kalyanam, saras gives an excuse that she is too sick to come. Thulsi can sense something is wrong. Then finally thulsi asks if mama & shanmugam can come, that is it Saras takes of & yells at thulsi that how tulsi does not care about saras & warns tulsi not to call & tells her that none of them will be able to attend the wedding. Thulsi is so sad. She comes out of the phone place wiping her tears, & NK asks her what is she doing there. Tulsi mazhupufies that she could not get the connection, NK senses that something is wrong.

Now Mohansundaram gathers both sides of the family members & says that there should be unity amongst the family members, & makes sharadha give sweets to Sivagamy & vice versa. He lectures about how the family should stay united. Ramesh is just not for this, & his face reflects it all. Vidya & everyone else are happy. Finally he ends up thanking Ramesh for being the reason that he was able to meet such wonderful people . Ramesh makes a stupid comment & says that I understand that all this drama is for you to get a good name in front of everyone. Vidya is shocked, & sharadha & ramesh's brother look at each other.
Tulsi leaves the dining area saying that she does not feel so good & feels like her head is spinning.

NK goes after tulsi and asks what is the issue. Tulsi tells him what saras said, & says that I know she is feeling well, but just doesnot want to come. NK says he will go to kancheepuram and bring them. Tulsi asks him not to go , as he will not be able to bear her insults. NK says he is used to it & takes off the Kancheepuram.

In the meantime pandi calls the samayalkaran again and reminds him that the next morning coffee should be the last that Ramesh has.

NK goes to shanmugams house & as expected get insulted by saras. But he is disappointed to see shanmugam missing from home. NK returns to the mandapam.

Mohanasundaram is telling sharada that how if ramesh gets married he will be vidyas husand so be wants to speak to ramesh in person before that and apologies & speak his heart sharadha is mov ed

in the meantime bhaskar takes the poisoned coffee to ramehs, who is rude and asks bhskar to keep his coffee and leave, Mohanasundaram lands up and apologis to ramehs, who does not say anyting, when ramesh goes to wash his face MS drinks the poisoned coffee, adn says he drank it as the coffee had gotten cold and ramesh prefers hot coffee, ramehs is still quiet, mohana sundarm leaves disappointed as he asks ramehs to forgiv ehim who doe snot say a word

S asks MS if he spoke to ramesh, MS says everything is settled and suddenly feels chest pain, shaadah is scared ut MS says he wants to go to the tmeple and drives himself to the doctor, but on the way meets with an accident, and looks like he is dead

Monday (03-27-06 Update)

Scene 1

Ramesh's dad is driving his car and feeling uneasy and hits against a bus and the car skids and falls over in a filmi style. A lorry guy stops by looks at the car and opens the car door and Ramesh's dad falls out bleeding badly. The lorry driver assumes he is dad and runs away. A milkman is going in bicycle and stops by the car and says aaiyo someone is dead her.

Marriage hall-
Everyone is dressing up Vidhya. Revathi is telling Vidhya is very lucky as she is the only DIL and for that Karpagam tells this is only as long as the second one arrives. Karpagam is taunting Mallika and she understands this and gives her back saying the second one will be educated only so nothing like that will happen. Karpagam is all red now. Thulasi is hearing all this but not involved. Then Vidhya asks them to stop fighting taking her into account and tells them that we can be happy in joint family also and a family with one DIL also like Thulasi akka all depends on us only.

Accident Spot-
Police comes to the accident spot and looks at Ramesh's dad and asks who saw this first and the milkman tells he saw it first and noticed a lorry guy running away. Police calls it a HIT and RUN case and asks to lodge this accident. Police checks the spot and tries to gather some information about Mohanasundaram, and finds that his cell is broken but finds his visiting card with his name on it.


Scene 2

Marriage hall-

Ramesh's friends r tying Veshti to him and making fun of him. Someone knocks the door and they open and the cook again brings in coffee for him with poison in it. Ramesh asks him to keep it and he will have it later. Ramesh is about to drink and he gets a phone call and gets distracted. The guy is still waiting to see if he drinks it but ramesh drives him away.

Ambulance comes and takes Mohanasundaram body away.

Marriage hall-
Sharadha is welcoming the guests and the sundari come and asks where is Mohanasundaram and she tells he has gone out will be back soon. Sharadha goes into Ramesh's room and asks his cell to call his dad and try calling MS but it says not reachable. Ramesh asks where is appa and she tells he said his pressure is high so he will meet a doctor and told he will come back soon but not yet arrived yet. Ramesh thinks did his appa's pressure go up due to the fight. Shradha tells ramesh he was happy that u both patched up and now this new problem but u don't worry he will be back an she leaves the room asking ramesh to get ready.

Scene 3

More senior police arrives at the accident spot and asks who saw the body first and they question the milkman but the junior officer tells he didn't see anything, this is hit and run case. Police discuss what details they have to contact MS family members and police officers got the shop to find out their home address to inform family members.

Wedding hall-
Sivagami is putting garland to Vidhya and doing dhristi for her and her mama praises her beauty. Shradha is worried that MS has not arrived. Sivagami brings Vidhya to the venue and make her sit near Ramesh. Ramesh is also looking at his watch. Vadiyar give the koorai podavai and asks her to change and come. NK comes and asks sharadha where is MS and she tells he has gone to meet the DR as his pressure was high but NK tells he should not have gone alone. NK calls out Bhaskar and asks him to look out for MS
Vidhya comes back after changing. NK calms Sharadha and tell her not to worry.

Police come to the shop and finds it closed and asks why is the shop closed, people say his son is getting married so, they go to their residence.
NK and sharadha are worried and upset waiting for MS.

Brief Update

Inspector arrives at kalyana mandapam, & gives the news to sundari's husband,who tells he is related to MS & aks him to break the news gently to the family. This man runs screaming shardaha, Naamma mosum poiyutom. He tells the news of MS accident, sharadha faints, Ramesh practically jumps out of the mAAnamedai. & vidya is crying.

Finally Shardha & co , Ramesh, NK , bhaskar, moorthy SK all end up in the mortuary area to see MS body. There is some stike going on so they are not let inside. The inspector says that when the strike is over he will arrange for them to get MS body. One of the police constable guarding the mortuary let ramesh peep through the window to see his dad. RAmesh sees MS body, and screams & cries(actually good acting by ramesh from this point on). NK & bhaskar come & see too & NK has a whole lot of dialogues and cries. Bhaskar & NK force Ramesh out of that place. Sharadha is bent on seeing MS body, but ramesh stops her casue he knwos it is not a pretty sight,they all sit down and cry

inspector asks them to disperse as the minister or somone is coming to deal with the strike so he did not want these poele here, and he would inform them once things are ok. SK tells mallika's dad that theyshould go back to the mandapam as the people out there wouldbe anxious. M' dad agrees. Moorthy is looking at all and turns around to see the people who are striking

Update for Fri Mar 31-2006
I was afraid they will show the full scenes at the cremation ground
also but at least it turned out to be comparitively brief.

Part-1

Continuation of yesterday's scene in M's house. Sharada telling Vidya
and family to leave the house. Sundaresan tells Sharada not to speak
like that and not to split the families but his words are futile and
they are forced to leave.
Nk and family are seen travelling in a mini bus. Bhaskar now starts
thinking about josiar's words –about the horoscopes not matching at
all and if the marriage really takes place, Vidya who is living like a
princess in this house will turn out to be a refugee.he also
recollects his words to his father after meeting the josiar—he tells
his father gloomily that only 9 out of 10 matches were seen in the
horoscope and his father very happily said even 8 out of 10 matchings
are sufficient and why u are looking very sad.
Now the weight of his actions make him very agitated and he just bangs
his head against the window glass repeatedly and cries out that it is
all his mistake. Everyone gets concerned on seeing him behave like
this and the bus is stopped and NK who was sitting in the front comes
to the back and asks what is the problem. Bhaskar again repeats the
same thing and NK says don't think Sambhandiyamma will always be like
that and Vidya will have no married life. Sharada has lived with that
great man for more than 30 years and obviously she is very upset and
cannot bear the great loss. I will go back and attend the cremation.
Moorthy tries to persuade him not to attend but he insists on
attending saying I have to see his face for the last time at least.
Bhaskar's secret remains with him!

Part-2

At the cremation ground everything is ready,Ramesh and brother
carrying a pot with water dripping around the body and getting
prepared for the rituals. NK comes in and is seen by Sundari's father.
He soon sets on him and asks him why u have come here? You are not
satisfied by the death of one person? Sharada is inside and not taken
any food and she is in high distress and you want to kill her also so
that these 2 boys who have lost their father will lose their mother
also? he speaks very cruelly and he is supported by 2-3 friends of his
who also tell NK to go away. NK cries out "Mapillai" towards ramesh
but Sundari's father just says what mapillai u are talking? Even the
marriage is no more –so don't talk the word mapillai.Nk says he will
just stand in a corner and just watch the final rites but he is forced
to go.

Part-3

Nk's family return back home. Vidya is consoled by Sivagami.
Meanwhile, Malliga's father calls Malliga,Karpagam,Revathy together
and tells them (particularly addressing Karpagam/Malliga) that it is
their responsibilty to bring the house and its people to the old cheer
after this tragedy. He says Vidya and Sivagami are specially more
shattered and hence please keep an eye on them and don't allow them to
be alone.He also refers to the fight btw Karpagam/Malliga and says as
2 daughters-in-laws of the house,their responsibilities are to keep
the peace in the house and rise above these quarrels.
In the meanwhile Sivagami asks whether husband has come back or not ?
How much suffering he may have to suffer there, she asks? Sundaresan
consoles her saying he will come soon.
Nk come comes in and haunted by the words he had to hear at the
cremation ground, goes straight to the bathroom and takes a mug of
water and pours it over his head and throws the mug in anguish.
