How come that movie didn’t clicked at box office? It was so freakin good, specially Salman as mentally unfit guy. I bet if it was made in today’s time it would have been a huge hit & he would have won filmfare for best actor as well.

No it's Love(1991)
It's one of Salman's best performances. Great music too.
That depressing ending killed any chance it had at the box-office considering it was a Diwali release.
Watch One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
Priyadarshan said during the release he wasn’t even trying 100 %. Imagine if he was
It was a very depressing movie without any sigh of relief.
Audience don't go to watch such movies in theaters as they dont wanna get depressed.
Anjaam is another such example, brilliant movie but way too depressing for the audience to spend money to come to theaters only to get massively depressed and experiernce despondency.
Such films don't work at the boxoffice, no matter how well made they are.

No it's Love(1991)
Love was great on a script level, but direction and screenplay wise it was all over the place, and was not kind of a movie that could be a hit at the boxoffice.
---------------
Films in which Salman has died in the end have never worked at the box office. Even 'Tere Naam' was impacted by that sad ending; otherwise, it would have been a big hit.
Whole Movie was Amazing Including the Brilliant Acting Performance by Salman . But the Tragic Ending of Such an adorable Character of Anand that too so mercilessly impacted the whole film. It should have been a Happy ending by making Anand back to normal .
Also wherever Salman's Character has died ..It never worked on Box Office even after being Amazing Films . Veergati is one more example which was one Amazing Film and Terrific performance by SK but didn't work.
