How disgusting is he to be giving Shruti hope of a future together when clearly he is sunk deep in his 26 saal ka pyaar...so much for moving on in life...

TBH Anupamaa did the right thing to walk out of their unstable relationship, he deserved to be abandoned. Baggage aside, atleast Anupamaa only loved one guy and still does but this Anuj is not to be trusted when it comes to relationships. He uses and abuses people as per convenience. I absolutely hated his dream, his shallow remarks and since I never had any expectations from maa so no comments on her justification for leaving, it was as shabby as her current look

Anuj is not fit to be with anyone...But Shruti? what is she like? she is apparently an educated, sensible and modern individual but how blind can she be to fall for a guy who can't offer her anything apart from responsibilities of a traumatised teenager? Surely marriages dont survive on good looks, aren’t they temporary?

What did she even see in Anuj that she became a part of their family without knowing any of their backstory? and what's weird is she seems quite comfortable living in oblivion, how can she think of marrying a guy who hasn't shared his past, let alone the demons he's battling.

Unless, she also has a troublesome past(she might have one now ) that she's running from? still doesn't make Anuj right though.

Guess they've mutually decided to leave the past in the past...both on the rebound trying to find a life together? still, two wrongs dont make a right!

both Anu & Anuj are unable to move on from eo & clearly are still stuck in the past & still love eo, then they should talk abt their issues, seek counseling, manage expectations & reconcile & handle CA. Anuj shouldn’t ruin Shru’s life by keeping her hanging & giving one her false hopes of marriage as she thinks if she gives all of herself to Anuj CA, somehow he’ll eventually love & prioritize her which isn’t the case. Yes, Anuj should not use Shruti nor should Shruti keep her self-esteem so low that she keeps waiting, without any information about his past or his mental state.

I don't think Shruti's role will be anything beyond being an instrument for Anuj to get the confession out of Maa, that she was wrong in leaving him and Adhya, which of course Maa won't do easily. Ab agar aise mein Shruti negative ho jati hai after investing 4 years into a relationship toh yeh uska fault hai kya...

Without strong characterization, they can't make leads move on in life. I mean Anuj moving on is a testimony to the fact that Maa was utterly wrong and not the right person for him. Will they do that ??

Shruti does seem like a sweet, sorted, and very gentle person. I feel very skeptical about her that they will keep the character positive and give a dignified exit. I wish that happens. She leaves them for good and with class. This smiling, positive, philosophical woman does not deserve to be caught up in the mess..

I don't think side characters in SP shows get the privilege of using their brains, , saari detective waali epiphanies sirf leads ko hoti hai, so expect Shruti to do a few more silly things, like be involved with a guy who only wanted free nanny.
