Ameesha Patel confirmed in an interview that not she, but Priyanka was originally signed to do Humraaz. Similarly, Abhishek Bachchan was supposed to do the Akshaye Khanna role.
So glad we got the film with its final casting which was pitch perfect. PC and Bachchan Jr would have ruined it. I can't see Bachchan Jr as a villain anyway, especially not as charismatic and fiendish as Akshaye was. Had it not been for Ajay Devgan in Deewangee, Akshaye would easily have won the Filmfare Negative Performance.
