It's appalling to read when people think that people going to alter and adjust their views on violence if anyone want to watch it for Ranbir.

You can still watch for Ranbir while you are not justifying the violence🤷‍♀️, People who want to watch it for Ranbir or for its technicalities are shouting from the top of their lungs that they don't justify violence but still people chose to think that🤷‍♀️

I watched AR I felt disgusted at his character but absolutely loved VD's acting. As I already mentioned in other thread, people watch any movie for various reasons, some people watch for technicalities, some watch for actors, some watch for morality, some watch for story, it doesn't mean they are justifying the violence or any controversies in any movie🤷‍♀️.. There is no point in banging head on the wall, sometimes this forum's extreme opinions make me run away from movie discussion threads like I felt today to stop commenting on anything on Animal movie!

This comment was not at TM, this was at whoever thinking that People are going to alter and adjust their views on violence if anyone want to watch it for Ranbir and whoever lapping it up that opinion too.

Such blanket statements judging someone's morality based on the movie they watch! Wow, amazing!

Newbird, I think, you're absolutely right. When I watched Arjun Reddy, I already knew about the controversial subject and still I watched it out of curiosity as the film had been lauded for its making.

I have to say that - after having watched the movie - I disliked the filmmaker (Vanga, in his directorial debut) for showcasing (his) sympathy for his main character (it was deliberate that he called him Arjun Reddy with having Reddy also in his name).

However I understood why the movie had been lauded, nevertheless.

Animal's trailer and the other clips of the movie tell me that it - most probably - will be a well done film relative to cinematography, sound and directing. Ranbir's screen presence seems intense, too (even though I don't like what I've seen of his acting).

So, to me (and I repeat it), the film stands and falls with the story and how it is put on screen.

I think, the position towards the movie is everybody's personal choice/decision which doesn't need to get justified.

OK this was genuinely funny, more so because I definitely wasn’t expecting that particular moment of Ranbir. I thought after Alia’s Shiva Shiva it was gonna be Ranbir saying papa papa smiley36
