Did you know?

- Netherlands players Teja Nidamauru, Max O'Dowd and Logan van Beek have played domestic cricket in New Zealand

- Rachin Ravindra was the third-youngest to score a century on World Cup debut behind Virat Kohli and Andy Flower

- Netherlands opening duo Max O'Dowd and Vikram Singh are the only Netherlands pair to aggregate 1000+ runs in ODIs.

What they said:

It's a good surface. There was something for the bat and ball. If you played well on there you could score runs. We do have a bit more intel. We've played on the surface, obviously not the same wicket, but we've got a bit of info on it. And it's a good cricket wicket. Boundaries are pretty even, and there is a bit of turn. There's a bit of movement for the seamer. So, if you play good cricket, you can reap the rewards - Roelof van der Merwe, Netherlands all-rounder

The mood is very neutral. Obviously, we enjoyed the first win incredibly much, but obviously with the tournament being such a quick turnaround, we try to keep things as neutral as possible, not get too high when we win and not get too low when we lose. And I think that's the key for us throughout this competition - Glenn Phillips, New Zealand batter

You never know this might be their first wc trophy 🏆

Days after securing a superb 9-wicket win against defending champions England, Tom Latham-led New Zealand will hope to continue the winning momentum when they meet the Netherlands in Hyderabad  TODAY. New Zealand head into the contest after making a mockery of a stiff 283-run target that too was against a tough English attack. Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra had slammed unbeaten tons, and the management will hope for a similar show today.

Netherlands, on the other hand, enter the contest after enduring a tough 81-run defeat against Pakistan and will look to open their account. Despite the loss Netherlands had plenty of positives to draw from the clash, especially Bas de Leede's all-round show. He then claimed four wickets and gave Netherlands a fighting chance by scoring 67(68) in the 287-chase. Apart from him, Vikramjit Singh also scored a half-century.

New Zeland and Netherlands have met four times previously in the ODI format, with the Black Caps emerging victorious on all occasions.

Three out of those four wins have come with a margin of 100-plus runs.

In fact, the most recent ODI series between the two teams was in 2022, which New Zealand won 3-0.
